@twodoghouse: fingers crosses for two sticky babies!!
I've always wanted twins, and if it happened, I would be so excited. Overwhelmed, but excited!

I would be excited. There are twins in both our families and SIL has said for years she wants us to have twins.

Even when we're going to start TTC, I will still have a freak-out. DH, even more so.
I'm "at-risk" to have twins because my grandfather was a fraternal twin, and it skipped a generation. Often joke with my 2 cousins about whose going to be "the one" lol. This especially scares the beejezus out of DH!

So far there's only been one in there on the scans...and it better stay that way! MIL likes to tease me that there's a hidden twin in there, but I keep telling her if there is, she better get ready because I'm giving one to her and one to my mom, who also wants twins!
I love when other people have twins but I would be beside myself (not in a happy way) if I found out I was having twins.

I would freak out for a sec but I'd be super happy..DH is an identical twin so we would think it's cool! Triplets would make my mouth hit the floor though!!!

@HabesBabe: I haven't had my first ultrasound yet and secretly I'm scared of a surprise like this!

Umm I'd be completely shocked at 28 weeks. I'd totally be wondering where the other one has been hiding during all of my ultrasounds. But I think I would warm up to the idea pretty quickly!
@Ree723: My mom wants me to have twins too. I think she's crazy because she's going to be keeping LO part time when I go back to work. I don't know how far she has thought that through...

I would freak out if I EVER found out I was pregnant with twins! I've nannied for a couple of families with twins and have no interest in ever having my own. That being said, if I found out today I would be extra freaked! LO is only two weeks old...

Yeah, I'd be pretty sad in some ways. Twins would mean a really different life for a few years, and that would be sad, kind of. There would be a lot to be excited about, too, and eventually I'd get over the sad and just be excited.

I wouldn't be very happy, we want to have 3 kids, and I want to have them one at a time, I want the 3 mat leaves, the 3 pregnancies, etc. It would be a huge adjustment, not to mention we don't want to TTC for another year, so being pregnant alone would be difficult right now, and a major adjustment in and of itself.

I would be so happy. We are having so much trouble trying to have one that having two would be such a blessing. However, I'm sure a small part of me would freak out a little.

Was SO happy there was only 1 heartbeat on my u/s at 9 weeks earlier this week. I would have been pretty upset if it was twins. DS just turned one and I can't imagine having twins. We couldn't afford the childcare among other reasons!

We know there's an increased risk of multiples so we wouldn't be completely surprised.

I secretly want twins! I would love a big family. My husband is a twin but I hear its the mom that factors it in and twins are not in my family. I am over 35 though and I hear that makes it more possible. I'd be very surprised though.

I would be so freaked out and overwhelmed!
My really good friend found out she was pregnant with twins when her first was 9 months old...she said the first word out of her mouth was "F*CK"...it was a surprise pregnancy and her first was still a little baby

I'm completely crazy, but I really wish Cricket would turn into twins. I know it would be SUPER tough at the beginning, but then I could absolutely say we're done making babies. And we could get the needy baby stage done and over with, instead of dragging it out another 3 or 4 years (if we decide on another baby after Cricket).

I was freaking out when pregnant with baby 2 before we had the "fetal count" ultrasound at 12 weeks. I absolutely did not want twins, and luckily there was only one in there.
However, it seems that with my first pregnancy, I was initially carrying twins but lost one of them at some point before my 12 week ultrasound. There was our baby and an empty sack
Last week I was holding my breath for my brother and SIL. They just found out they are pregnant and twins runs in her family. They just have a singleton though.
