So I keep reading that so many of you bounced on a yoga ball during the last couple weeks of pregnancy. What exactly does it do? Do you just sit on it and bounce up and down on it?

I'm under the impression that, for one, it helps wiggle the baby into the right position.

I got one a few weeks ago as an alternative place to sit. It gives my back some relief, especially since I find the couch uncomfortable these days.

I sat on it at the end of the day after work, then towards the very end say on it off and on throughout the day --- really helped my hip pain and was more comfortable over all. Also - when I was in early labor it was great to sit on through contractions!

I bought one and started using it 2 days before I went into labor. I don't know if it had anything to do with it though. I just sat on it and lightly bounced, or used it to roll my hips side to side, and back and forth. If you search on youtube they have some demonstations of how to use it.

It definitely helped with contractions. I also bounced a lot on it the weeks before I went into labor, who knows if it did anything though.

I used it for about 2 weeks before labor started. I used it in the evenings and that is when my bh contractions really kicked in. I didn't like it during labor, but labor went very fast- not sure if I can credit it 100%, but I would definitely do it again.

I used it for a few weeks to try and position the baby.
I used it during early labor and it made my water break.

I sit on one at work when I'm at my desk doing paperwork. I really think it has helped prevent pregnancy pains- I'm almost 28 weeks and have been almost pain free throughout. I'm planning to bring the ball home about a week or two before I'm due so that I can start sitting on it at home and use it during labor.

I bought one this past weekend, and I am convinced it is helpful! At my appointment last Wednesday I was barely effaced, and at my appointment yesterday the doctor said I was "very" thinned out. I've just been bouncing, rocking, and hula-hooping for 15 minutes every night. Besides helping her get lower & in the right position, it feels great. It really helps a lot with the hip, pelvic, and groin pain/pressure!

I sat and bounced and rolled my hips around. The last few weeks it was the only place I could get comfortable. I also used it when I was laboring at home.
