@gingerbebe: Oh, I am so sorry! I'll be thinking of and praying for you and hoping that maybe today will bring better news.

@gingerbebe - I am wishing you all the best! I am sending good thoughts and prayers your way.
I've also been feeling odd this morning. I just don't feel like how I've been feeling the last week. I feel "different"...like I'm not pregnant. I've had no symptoms of miscarriage, and I am still having the same sore breasts although I had some cramping yesterday that lasted a few minutes. Anyway, please tell me not to Google anything anymore as I have been reading way to much on the internet and concocting all kinds of explanations in my head. My first OBGYN appointment isn't until next Wednesday. Sigh....

@gingerbebe: I'm so sorry gingerbebe. I am sending all my positive thoughts to you today and hoping for a miracle! **Hugs**

@BKCaribBaby: DEFINITELY do not google. It's the devil and will only freak you out. I wouldn't worry too much, symptoms can come and go

@sslm: - LOL! Yes! I had to tell myself to step away from the computer. Although....I did google and see that someone had a similar situation where some of her symptoms went away. All I had to do was eat and there was the sour stomach that stayed all day. I guess I had to wake up the munchkin.

@MrsCastro: Hey, I'm from the March thread but I thought I'd just let you know that I had that EXACT type of pain, throbbing, light cramping... all the time. It went away at 7 weeks.

When are people having their first appointment? I was surprised to get one around 7w2d with the midwife! I think it's partially bc of my long cycles (45 days) so they want to make sure I'm not actually 9w2d... Either way, happy to get things started we'll be going for a dating ultrasound sometime after that appointment!!

@hergreenapples, I also do Crossfit and I was told to do 50% of your one rep max for weights. For many things, this is still in the 50-60 pound weight limit for me. For back squats, i'd be in the 80 pounds, easily.
The lady who owns my gym's doctor is familiar with crossfit and she did a TON of research and came up with all these modifications for us, along with with what weights are ok and what exercises are fine. A doctor telling you to stop, unless you have another health issue, is grossly uninformed. Look around, there are lots of women who continue to lift heavy throughout their pregnancy. It's very heavy for lots of other women, but probably not for them, you know? 50-60 pounds is a LIGHT weight for me.

@blackbird: Thanks for your reply - I really appreciate it!
I decided almost immediately that my doctor was out to lunch and I am heading back to the gym tonight. It was the most bizarre response from a doctor ever. She was basically like, "Excercise bad!" I knew if I dared tell her that by "lift heavy" I meant over 100 lbs, sometimes over 200 lbs she would pretty much have a coronary!
My regular GP is on maternity leave so I'm stuck with her fill-in until I get in with either a midwife (fingers crossed!) or an OB. So far, between discouraging exercise and admitting she knew absolutely nothing about Omega 3's potential effect on fetal development, she has done very little to inspire confidence.

Glad to hear that! This substitute doctor doesn't sound very good, haha.

how are you ladies feeling?
i will be 6 weeks tomorrow...and other than feeling tired and a little bloated...i am not feeling much else...
pomegranate / 3895 posts
@MrsCastro: Tired, bloated, sore boobs and I believe I just experienced my first wave of nausea. Thankfully it was short-lived and I managed to avoid throwing up in my work parking lot, which is where I was when it happened.

@MrsCastro: bloated, bloated, bloated. but i *just* hit 4 weeks...i'm sure there are lots of other symptoms around the corner!
cantaloupe / 6397 posts
@MrsCastro: honestly I am just feeling anxious and panicked. Symptoms wise, still just sore boobs and tiredness. 5w2d!
persimmon / 1491 posts
@sslm: i guess i should feel lucky that i havent had any morning sickness episodes (i hope i dont jinx myself)...i think a constant state of worry is normal in the first tri....i am dying for the 21st to roll around just so that i know that everyhting is ok, we have our first dr apt then.
pomegranate / 3895 posts
@MrsCastro: 5w1d. Still early for m/s, but have been feeling icky ever since that incident this afternoon.
@sslm: I hear you on the anxiety. I thought once I got pregnant it would just be non-stop excitement and happiness, but instead I feel like I can't get excited because I'm too afraid something will happen
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@sslm: I had an appointment where I did paperwork and bloodwork, but I didn't even see a nurse, much less the doctor. I now have to wait until 12 weeks to have my first real appointment and ultrasound.
@hergreenapples: I've had early bouts of being super queasy. I threw up once, but thankfully it wasn't at work. That is my biggest pregnancy fear, other than worrying about a healthy baby.
As for me, tired, bloated, and queasy currently describe my state of being. It's kind of comforting, though, because it helps convince me my baby is really in there! I went for bloodwork Moday, and they said I'm definitely pregnant and all my numbers look good. I just wish I ddn't have to wait SO long to see the doctor and get an ultrasound. I will feel much better when I hear the heartbeat.
pomegranate / 3895 posts
@Mrs. Blue: I have to wait until 12 weeks to have an U/S too and I think it's craziness! I don't feel comfortable telling people (other than those very close few we've already told) until after I've seen a heartbeat, but to have to wait until 12 weeks seems kind of insane, doesn't it? Is it just me?! Maybe I'm the insane one?!
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@hergreenapples: Pity party for two right here. It sucks, especially when you hear about others on HB getting ultrasounds at 8 weeks or earlier!

Would love to join you ladies!
EDD: April 1
How far along?: 6w4d
How long TTC: 2 months
First child?: Yes!
Any feeling about boy/girl: Have always felt I will have a girl first but have no preference either way.
First doctor's appointment: Almost 2 weeks ago now but that was just bloods. Have our dating scan on Sat so am really looking forward to that!
How do you feel?/Symptoms so far: Horrible atm. Had *no* symptoms until 6 weeks and now they are hitting me. Woke up hubby early this morning to go get me some milo/milk to get something in my belly. Wasn't expecting morning sickness to be so strong!!
Who have you told?: We've only told friends so far. The couple we are closest with, my BFF and 2 work friends of mine. We will be telling our parents and more people after the scan on Sat... when we see there is actually something in there
nectarine / 2591 posts
@mrs blue I guess it all depends on where you live.. I'm in oz hence the early scan. However since the 12 week NT scan is optional for us it means we have to pay for it or wait till the 20 week scan. I couldn't wait from 7 weeks till 20 so we're paying for it! lol

@AprilFool: Welcome!!!! I am a little scared to hit the 6w mark, since people keep saying that, no symptoms and then the mother load.
cantaloupe / 6397 posts
@hergreenapples: It's really stressful. The worst thing is that I had a missed mc, so even the fact that I'm not bleeding is of no real consolation.
nectarine / 2591 posts
@SSLM Thanks!! The symptoms were kinda a relief. At least something was happening ya know! So maybe 6 weeks will bring some comfort to you too..... in a warped miserable way
cantaloupe / 6397 posts
Oh and about the scans, I'm only getting one for two reasons: for some peace of mind bc of my prior missed mc, and because my cycles are long and irregular so they want to better date the pregnancy (even though I was charting and it's likely unnecessary).
cantaloupe / 6397 posts
I woke up this morning and my boobs have pretty much stopped hurting so of course I am panicked. I hate this. My mc has completely ruined early pregnancy for me.
pomegranate / 3895 posts
@sslm: I'm sorry you're feeling this way I know I'm panicked and I've never had a m/c, so I can't even imagine what it must be like for you. I thought you might get some reassurance out of the fact that I've noticed that my boobs are way less sore in the morning. The soreness seems to build over the course of the day and by the evening they are super tender again.
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@AprilFool: @cheert16: Welcome!!!!
@sslm: Hopefully after your first scan you'll feel a little more confident! Plus, you'll probably start havin more symptoms soon, which is a sick (pun intended) form of reassurance.

Is anyone else seriously flabbergasted by reading about the baby's growth?!? It blows my mind that they develop so quickly.
cantaloupe / 6397 posts
@Mrs. Blue: it's pretty crazy, eh?
Sore boobs returned late in the afternoon so I'm feeling a bit better. I have a therapist appointment this morning so I'm looking forward to that. I went to see her a few weeks ago bc I was struggling with moving on from my mc. I'm excited to tell her I'm pregnant now, and also I'm hoping she can help me calm down a bit.
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
Is anyone else feeling extra worried about the baby lately? With the April ladies having a couple of early losses, I am super nervous all over again.
pomegranate / 3452 posts
@Mrs. Blue: oh absolutely. I'm convinced of the worst. I haven't had my first appointment yet either, so I am just trying to wait patiently ...
pomegranate / 3895 posts
@Mrs. Blue: YES. I've been super anxious ever since I got my BFP and while I do have good parts of each day when I am able to calm down, I continue to have very anxious parts of each day too.
I've meditated, I've done positive self-talk, I've pinned tons of positive mantras, I've prayed a lot and I've thought long and hard about how I can't control the process and how there is nothing that I can do to change whatever outcome we encounter. I can't say it's really helped.
All I want right now is to be able to wake up and magically be in the second tri. Obviously that's not going to happen, but I wish it could, because this waiting game has been really hard on me already and it's only been about 10 days since I got my BFP. *sigh*
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@aprk: @hergreenapples: I just want to wake up and find a doctor who will give me an ultrasound earlier than 12 weeks. I'm going a little crazy, and just want to know that their is a heartbeat! Cue frantic searching for a good OB in a small-ish town where every good OB isn't taking new patients or can't get you in for months. I'm having to consciously remind myself that stress isn't good for the baby. I was doing so flipping good for a little while and now I'm a hot mess.
pomegranate / 3895 posts
@Mrs. Blue: I'm actually considering BEGGING my doctor at my next appointment so that I can get sent for an u/s before 12 weeks. Very mature, I know. Of course, that's doctor's appointment isn't even until August 29, so I still need to make it through another 19 days just to get to that.
I feel like time is at a standstill.
