    @BandDmommy: wow, I knew you had a little one but put that way, dang! lol Any advice on bras? Should I bite the bullet and go shopping now or wait a little bit? I tried to get some pants at Target the other day but the location I went to only had two pathetic racks of maternity clothes. I was annoyed.

    @JennyLayneAZ: If you can go, to Motherhood Maternity or Pea in the Pod, they can fit you for a bra. There are several kinds you can get: regular nursing bra (think regular bra), soft structured nursing bra (like sports bra), and sleeping bra. As your boobs get bigger sleeping bras are nice because you still need support.

    @BandDmommy: ok thanks for the tips! I'll have to google and see where these stores are. I've never had to pay attention to them before lol

    I had my second appointment today. The baby was hiding for a bit, but I was eventually able to hear the heartbeat140 bpm. My initial test results came back and now I have to take iron supplements and also get a glucose test. Booo

    @Mrs. Lemon-Lime: that's early for glucose test. Do you have family history of diabetes?

    @BandDmommy: yes, my mother was diagnosed about two years ago. I'm sure other family members have the disease as well, but I just don't know for certain.

    @JennyLayneAZ: I was so happy to hear the thumps! I'm not too surprised about the iron supplements since that's been an ongoing issue since I was a teen. Taking another pill does suck though.

    @Mrs. Lemon-Lime: yes it does, sorry! My mom has to get iron infusions so it's definitely on my mind also!

    Had my OB appointment today, all is good! Was so relieved to hear the HB. They drew blood for prenatal testing so we will have results in ten days! Crazy to think we will know sex so soon!

    I have not been very good at keeping up.
    I am ready to move to maternity pants too. I can't keep the zipper up on some work pants and that could be a problem soon.
    I had blood work yesterday for the Harmony test. I'm excited to know the gender soon, but have extra nerves waiting to hear everything is ok.

    @Mrs. Lemon-Lime: You can move me down to 4/13. It seams that baby is running a little behind.

    @mamabolt: Hooray for a HB!
    @Mrs. Lemon-Lime: Sorry about the extra pills. But whatever you need to do to help baby stay healthy. Hooray for a good appointment!

    I had my first trimester testing on Thursday. I was terrified to see that they had screens so you could see everything right away. I mean, what if something was wrong? But she found the baby right away and it seams like I have a little acrobat inside of me. Then it fell asleep and I needed to move around then go to the bathroom so that the tech could get her measurements. But she told me that everything looks good. The heartbeat was 179. The baby is measuring a week behind though. I know it's not really anything to worry about, but I'm still a bit freaked out that it could indicate that something is wrong. I have my next prenatal appointment on Tuesday and I was able to schedule my 20 week anatomy scan for the Tuesday before Thanksgiving!

    @Den mom: waiting for the BW to come back is so hard! Hope you get the call soon.

    @auggiefrog: beautiful little baby!

    Had our NT scan this morning and things looked good. Creepy 3D alien pic for you guys!

    Waiting on BW results still but feeling confident about this pregnancy. We are going to tell DD tonight. Friday I said I was going to the doc and she asked if there was a baby in my belly. I asked her if she thought so and she said my belly was getting big. Lol, thanks kid!

    I got my NT results in today. I am at an increased risk for Down's based on my blood test. (1 in 4) The lady doing the scan told me that based on the fluid, everything looked great though. What scares me more right now is that the genetic councilor that I talked to on the phone said that in one of the tests I didn't have enough of something in my blood stream (something-A). The average was 1, and mine was.4. It sounded like this had something do do with a placental insufficiency. After 20 weeks I'll get more ultrasounds, and they wouldn't let me go past my due date. I'm more worried right now that I'm going to lose the baby. It took me so long to get this far. I have my regular prenatal appointment with my doctor tomorrow, and then I go in to see this genetic councilor.

    @auggiefrog: I can't imagine how scary! Glad you have an appt with your doctor tomorrow so you can go over everything. In the meantime, it sounds good that they thought your fluid levels were great. As for the other, if they don't start increased monitoring until at least 20 weeks that seems like a good sign that maybe it is not an urgent concern and hopefully being proactive keeps the risk at bay. Thinking of you.

    @auggiefrog: did they say what your neck fold measurement was? Nasal bone present?

  37. auggiefrog

    kiwi / 631 posts

    @BandDmommy: I'm not sure. We are talking with the genetic councilor tomorrow. She didn't tell me my measurements. I think the main problem was the PAPP-A results. I got a .4 when they are looking for a 1. Whatever that means.

    @Mrs. Lemon-Lime: @bloved: Thanks girls. I'm just hoping that everything turns out okay.

    @auggiefrog: I want to say it was my PAPP-A that was off too. I did CVS and everything was fine! It's scary but odds are in your favor that everything is fine!! Hugs!

    @BandDmommy: That is reassuring. I hope that additional testing makes me feel better.
