@ValentineMommy: @psw27: @bubblegum: That's very reassuring. And I guess we only have that issue if this LO is a girl. Though I suppose it did occur to me that if we named a DS2 Thomas people would think we were following Thomas the Tank Engine names

@JennyPenny: Lol! That's too funny. While I would have noticed that reference much faster, I just blame it on having a train obsessed little boy. Even still, classic names. I wouldn't worry about it.

I really like the name Thomas and the fact that my son loves trains just makes it better!

We haven't talked seriously about names, I am afraid we'll have a nameless child. I chose last time and I was very confident. So far we don't like any of each other's ideas and I'm not very confident in them anyway. My son has an Irish name, it's older, not unusual but you don't hear it everyday and it sounds nice with our names. So basically, I'd love to come up with something along the same lines!

I'm going to take a second to rant. My kids have been at each other's throats since they got up this morning. I've had about enough for like a week. Ugh just wish I could send DD to school!

Has anyone done the intelligender test?

@littleblessings: That sounds interesting! What is it?

  8. littleblessings

    pear / 1739 posts

@bubblegum: it's a urine test that can be bought at some stores and it's to predict what you're having as early as 10 weeks.

This is a youtuber I follow. I think it's pretty cool and has been accurate for her so far except idk what this one is! Link>>>>

Hi ladies! Things got crazy around here with home life and work but I've finally caught up on this thread. So happy to read about everyone's good OB visits and see those ultrasound pictures!

I have been a bit apprehensive these past few weeks leading up to my first ultrasound (who hasn't?!) because my morning sickness pretty much went away early on. The only symptom I continually had right from the start was super sore boobs. These symptoms are different from my previous two pregnancies where I was sick with nausea and vomiting from day 1 all the way to the day of the 2nd trimester. Plus I never got a single headache during my first two pregnancies but I've been getting a headache every few days this time. Needless to say I didn't have any strong reason to believe this pregnancy wouldn't be viable (no spotting aside from the first few weeks, no bleeding, no major cramping aside from normal growth pains) but you guys know that annoying fear and uncertainty in the first trimester... Thankfully the first ultrasound showed a healthy and very active baby in there! Hallelujah! So now I'm convinced this is a boy because things are so different from my two girl pregnancies. The baby is also measuring a week ahead so the OB will probably move my due date up during next week's appointment.

@JennyPenny: I was laughing along with your story of waiting for the appointment with a full bladder. The joys of pregnancy.

@littleblessings: Hmm...online reviews seem to be mixed regarding the accuracy of the test. I'll probably just wait for the ultrasound confirmation. But let us know if you try it, I'm curious. I love your announcement idea with pumpkins, sounds adorable!

@abbydabbydoodlebug: That baking announcement would be so cute!

@bubblegum: We were team green for LO2, so we have a potential boy name we didn't end up using. Buuut we both think boy names are more difficult than girl names so I'm not sure we are set on the boy name yet. We haven't picked a girl name yet, but we have been tossing around a few ideas.

@littleblessings: That's soooo cool! Are you going to do it?!

  12. bubblegum

    pear / 1717 posts

@MapleMoose: Awwww I always envy people who can go team green. I don't have the will power! But for sure boy names are way harder than girl names. Without a doubt!

    grapefruit / 4213 posts

@bubblegum: It was so hard to be team green last time!! I'm pretty sure we are going to find out this time. But I'm glad we did team green at least once because it was so adorable to see hubby announce to me the gender in the delivery room. He was so proud to be the first to know, even if it was just for a few seconds

  14. bubblegum

    pear / 1717 posts

@MapleMoose: I bet it was!! DH and I said that if we ever have one of each before we're officially done having kids that we won't find out the gender for the last one.

  15. MapleMoose

    grapefruit / 4213 posts

@bubblegum: How many kids you plan on having? I think this third is our last. DH wants four but I'm not sure.

  16. bubblegum

    pear / 1717 posts

@MapleMoose: Just three. So after this pregnancy, just one more. Four sounds like a party lol

@littleblessings: I was recently googling these tests because my friend was talking about the Drano test.... so I went down this rabbit hole of thinking about doing the Drano test because people say it is accurate. But, now I'm not sure. I think DH would think I was crazy for doing it! But my anatomy scan isn't until November 30th!!

@MapleMoose: Glad things are going well! Can't say I'm not jealous of your lack of morning/all day sickness but I know that would worry me too.

  18. MapleMoose

    grapefruit / 4213 posts

@bubblegum: I know, right?! I'm all for three but I'm not on board with four at this point.

@psw27: Isn't it funny, I should have been glad I felt better these past weeks instead of worried. Then again I would have found something else to work myself up about. The first trimester is nerve-wracking! I hope you can find some relief from morning sickness.

@MapleMoose: Thanks! It comes and goes at this point but I'm ready for it to be over!

  23. MOMTOLITTLEB

    persimmon / 1188 posts

@littleblessings: Yes but mine is kind of practical for this time of pregnancy- clearing out clothes I won't wear until after the baby so I can have clothes I'll actually wear easily accessible. I also want to pack up my son's summer things! We're going to move him to a new room but I'm not sure which room or when!

I thought maybe I should update, I'm now at 15w0d as of today and I am showing, or atleast others tell me I am. I catch glimpses in the mirror but usually don't see a belly bump quite yet.
The app I have (ovia) says I should've put on 5lbs by now and I certainly have not-maybe 1? I think the strangest thing is I don't FEEL pregnant! Yes my boobs got bigger (B cup to DD) and sore, but beyond that I feel nothing. This is my first pregnancy, is that normal?
We cleared out babies room, but I am still working on clearing out the closet! It was our holding space 😉.

@mrsmacSLP: your experience may not be typical but I'd call that winning But to really answer your question I know a few people who had what you're experiencing- no symptoms, little weight gain and not "feeling pregnant". All of them have had healthy pregnancies and definitely felt more pregnant as time went on - so I'd say enjoy it while you can

  27. psw27

    pomelo / 5220 posts

@mrsmacSLP: I would say you are having an easy pregnancy but still totally normal! I haven't gained much cause I have been so sick. As long as baby is growing normally and your doctor is okay with how things are going - don't worry! The weight will come eventually Hahaha - or maybe not! Some people gain 10 pounds and some people gain 50!

    Everyone! Please try this test!

I did it yesterday, just for fun of course and it was creepy!! Of course we don't know current LO's gender but still pretty cool.

    LO1 results: Boy...We had a boy
LO2(miscarriage) results: Boy...We don't know this for sure because we never knew the gender
LO3 (current pregnancy) results: Girl...We don't know this baby's gender yet but everyone is guessing girl this time around.
THEN the 4th try, the ring stopped!! DH and I have agreed that this will be the last baby!

    WEIRD!
Share your results if you do it.

    @bubblegum: I did this

    LO1- DD
    LO2- DS
    LO3- girl (miscarriage)
    LO4- girl
    LO5- boy
    LO6- boy

I must say I love this youtuber!

@littleblessings: And was it right?! Jeez 6 is a lot lol god bless you!

  35. littleblessings

    pear / 1739 posts

@bubblegum: so far it's correct. I had a girl and then a boy. No idea what the miscarriage was so looks like a girl this time? SO said he doesn't really want more. I could see us having one more though. Having 5 children running around is a little out of the question for my abilities.

  36. bubblegum

    pear / 1717 posts

@littleblessings: How cool is that! Yeah that's a lot lol! I originally wanted 5 before I had my son, after I had him I changed it to 4, then he grew up a bit and I said 3, and now with baby number 2, we think 2 is the lucky number lol

  37. bubblegum

    Hey ladies,

How long did it take you find out the results of your genetic testing?

  38. mrsmacSLP

    apricot / 308 posts

@JennyPenny: @psw27: I hope it's just an easy pregnancy! I'm okay with that, I just wish I felt pregnant but maybe down the line I won't!

  39. mrsmacSLP

    apricot / 308 posts

@bubblegum: I tried it and we got:
    Baby 1(this pregnancy): boy
    Baby 2: girl
Next try: - complete and total stop!

We're currently on the fence about being one and done but the midwives convinced us to wait until baby 1 is atleast 2 to make that decision!

  40. JennyPenny

    nectarine / 2460 posts

    @bubblegum: wow, crazy! I got

    LO1 - boy
    LO2 - girl
    LO3 - boy
    LO4 - girl
    Stop

It's so weird because I would absolutely love this family structure. So I've got some fingers crossed it holds true
