@buttermilk: Crazy! I'm shocked we haven't had anymore deliveries. August babies are not in a hurry apparently.

@buttermilk: insane. INSANE!!!! In November when I got my BFP August seemed light years away!

Welp guess this kid didn't want me to have any maternity leave without him....I believe my water has broken and I've lost my mucus plug. Just hangin out in bed. Mildly crampy but no huge contractions yet. Hoping they're happening and I'm just not noticing!!! I really don't want pitocin

@kjpugs: @buttermilk: I was really looking forward to my two weeks off before my due date! Jokes on me I guess! definitely feeling crampy here and there. Hoping things are moving along in there!

@Portboston: OMG!!! Keep us posted. Even though I'm not really ready yet, I'm sort of jealous

@abmamma: I'm not ready either!! Haha @autumnlove: thank you! I think it's going to be a long day!

@Portboston: baby must be ready! So are you 2 weeks early then? Did you have a gush or a trickle?
kiwi / 696 posts
@Portboston: I had my water broken in the hospital last time and it was (obviously) a giant gush. Having it happens before really obvious contractions makes me nervous. I feel like I won't know!
Good luck and keep us posted!!!!

@buttermilk: I'm 37+5 today. So a little over 2 weeks early. Which is funny cause I swore up and down I'd be late!!
.I woke up to pee & noticed I was wet down there. When I sat on the toilet it leaked a lot. Between a gush & a trickle I guess. I put a pad on and laid back down to see if I could get it to pool a bit. Sure enough I felt another small gush about 10 min after I laid down and went back to the toilet and it leaked out again. The mucus plug was way more obvious. I'm glad it happened at almost the same time, made it a lot easier to tell that this is it!

@Portboston: oh my gosh!!!!! So exciting!! I was just thinking that we needed some August babies to hurry up!
pear / 1809 posts
@buttermilk: That's crazy! I can't believe how soon the babies will be here!
@Portboston: Good luck! My water broke before my contractions started with my first, so I know the feeling of waiting around for things to start happening. Keep us updated!

I took my son to the playground for an hour this morning, and it tired me out! I'm usually pretty good about staying on my feet the whole time and interacting with him, but this time, I spent a lot of time sitting on a bench. My son has so much energy, so I feel like I need to take him places to let him burn it off, but it's getting harder as I feel more tired. Ugh, I just want a nap!
How is everyone else with toddlers doing? Are you keeping up with them okay, or are you starting to scale back on the activities you do together?

@Portboston: oooh! Labor and delivery board time! Good luck today mama! Can't wait for updates!
I've been crappy, mostly at night. Contractions mostly at night and in the early morning... Hopefully they are being productive! Had 2 dates nights this weekend and I couldn't wear my cute heels due to fat feet, or wear my wedding rings due to fat fingers, and I'm over being pregnant! Hahaha!
kiwi / 696 posts
@aprild: my poor toddler. I'm pretty good about getting him places to run off energy, but i can tell the end of my pregnancy definitely lessens my "fun" factor. Like when he wants me to play trains on the floor, but I want to put my feet up after being outside in the heat.
grapefruit / 4862 posts
@aprild: I feel awful for my toddler. I can barely keep up with her as it is. My fatigue/pain plus the FL summer temps (insane) mean we do a lot of errands or stuff in the house (we don't have a yard, sadly.) I am so ready to get out and do more with her when the baby is here and it gets cooler.

@Portboston: Ah! My post may have jinxed you haha.. although I don't know that I would call it a jinx, you'll be meeting baby soon!! So exciting. Hope your labour and delivery goes well!
@aprild: Having trouble keeping up with mine too! My sister bought him this mini bounce house thing for his birthday last year and we set it up for him, as I was helping him in to it yesterday, I fell a bit and totally pulled my groin. Proceeded to be pissed at my husband because he wasn't up helping him due to a hangover. I passive agressively said "I SHOULDN'T BE THE ONE DOING THIS AT 38 WEEKS PREGNANT!!". Ugh, I'm sorry.. you're feeling crappy because you had a boys night and you drank too much. I have been carrying this baby for 38 weeks now and I'M the one who's up entertaining the toddler? That ended real quick afterwards lol. Sorry, that definitely turned in to a rant and I didn't mean it to!

@getjazzy: that's my every Sunday. It's been the only day DH and I have off together and he has this perception that his day off means actual TIME OFF. Since we work opposite schedules I'm always solo at night so I salivate over the thought of help. When LO is climbing up my leg while I try to make her dinner and I ask for his help and he says "hold on" because he's playing clash of clans on his phone it makes me murderous.
nectarine / 2086 posts
@kjpugs: @getjazzy: omg I would kill them all! all the husbands!!! Lol. Mine is pretty awesome, MOST of the time
Also...
9 months pregnant + 100 degree heat =
I seriously CAN NOT!!

Ugh so exhausted and I fell last week and hurt my foot. Sprained my in-step and have to stay off it. I'm working remote in my dining room with my foot up. Ugh and I have so much to do, my mom is trying to do what she can, but her health is not great. Almost 39 week appointment on Wedesday, I hope the baby has not gone back to breech, or I have a c-section scheduled Thursday. Stay Vertex baby.

@kjpugs: omg don't even get me started on the clash of mother effing clans. I have one of those husbands too!! Hate that stupid game!
@kayakgirl73: Yikes that doesn't sound fun!! Stay vertex baby AND stay in a bit longer so mom's foot can get better!
grapefruit / 4862 posts
@getjazzy: I'll start talking and say OH YOUR FACE IS GREEN WHICH MEANS YOURE PLAYING CLASH OF CLANS SO WHY DONT YOU LET ME KNOW WHEN YOUR FAMILY IS IMPORTANT AGAIN. That stupid green reflection ughhhhh.

@Portboston: So exciting! I've been wondering when the next August baby was going to arrive. Keep us posted!
@aprild: I definitely haven't been doing as much with DS as usual. When DH isn't around/available to help out I try to engage him in some quiet activities like his books/flashcards/coloring etc so I don't have to move a whole lot.
@buttermilk: I feel your pain. It has been in the high 90s here with the heat index over 100 just about every day for the last couple weeks. Yesterday I didn't go outside at all and it was glorious.
cherry / 215 posts
@portboston: horray! can't wait to hear more.
It has been in the 90s in Seattle and it is painful. No A/C anywhere since we rarely get this kind of heat. Just want to sit in cold bath all day.
pear / 1955 posts
@LauraBear: I feel you over here in Boston! We've hit 90 the last couple of days too. I basically ran errands all day to the grocery store and Home Depot just to go somewhere cool. Not fun!
nectarine / 2086 posts
@Mrs.Scientist: @LauraBear: @raspberries: it's awful! we really need groceries and whole foods is only 3 blocks away, but I do not want to leave the house!

Feeling you ladies on the heat factor, with the humidity rating we've hit 100 the last 3 days, give it was the weekend we made an effort to get DS out to play in his little pool a bit because he doesn't do well with being cooped up but the only saving grace was some shade and keeping our feet in the cold water of the pool too. By lunch though it was time to hide indoors in the air conditioning. Just too hot to tolerate! Hope the heat wave breaks before I'm in labour!

About an hour after I woke up, my pelvis started to hurt, bad. Like, ripping apart feeling . I did a 2.5 mile incline treadmill walk, still in pain. Hour long prenatal yoga class , still in pain. Laying on the couch , still in pain. Bh contractions here and there, cramping off and on, nothing new. My bump looks lower... Did baby just settle down in there more? I can barely move I hurt so much! Chiropractor appointment in an hour, but the thought of having to drive and walk to get there makes me want to cry!

I just wanted to give you all an update.... I'm reading along but I just don't manage to post a lot...
My bad luck continues... My blood pressure dropped to 80/50ish and I got admitted to the hospital. Baby is very small and hasn't grown in the last 10 days. But I'm home now, I'm feeling better and I pray everything's really ok with baby. They want her to stay in there as long as possible and made me promise to gain more weight. I'm also getting daily IV fluids at my GPs and biweekly ultrasounds to check on her...
nectarine / 2086 posts
@Mrs. Microscope: I have no experience but that sounds likely to me! I sure hope you feel better
I haven't felt the drop myself and my ribs still hurt and I have a hard time breathing lying down so I think my baby must still be high.
