@lilteacherbee: yes! This was last Saturday. I'm at 5 weeks, 5 days!

@lilteacherbee: Yes!! I made a separate post about this yesterday. I know some of it is chunk from my first but I definitely didn't look like this just a few weeks ago. At just over 9 weeks I look like my 12-13 week self from last time. I'm going to have to be creative with dressing and blame holiday food for the next few weeks until I spill the beans.

DH got a onesie for LO! First clothes we've bought specifically for this one. (For those who don't know, those are character stats for D&D type gaming- strength, dexterity, constitution, intelligence, wisdom, and charisma. 3 is very low, and 18 is very high, so it's a joke.) I love it!

I definitely have more of a bump then I did last time. This was taken yesterday at 9 weeks 5 days, didn't look like this until around 16 weeks last time.

@lilteacherbee: most definitely! I'm heavier than last time (by quite a bit) but my belly has def popped out! I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow (excuse the horrible lighting in my parents house).

The early baby bumps look so cute!! This is my 1st and I'm tall with a long torso so I have a feeling it's going to be a LONG wait for me to have a bump!

@MrsADS: You might be surprised! I have a long torso as well, and I showed early with my first.

@kjpugs: I'm taking Zofran with this pregnancy, because my morning sickness has made me miserable. Without it I vomit multiple times a day, can barely eat anything, and lay around feeling awful. If you google Zofran safe during pregnancy, you'll see questionable information on it. My doctor said she thinks it's safe, but there aren't a lot of studies out there. In the end, it's up to the patient to decide if the possible risks outweigh living with intense morning sickness. I decided they were, especially since the odds seem pretty slim that anything could happen.

I love the bumps and ultrasounds! My first ultrasound is Monday, and I'm both excited and nervous.
I'm not feeling brave enough to post a bump picture yet at 8 weeks because I feel like it's still bloat and extra food from the holidays. I was heavier that I'd like before getting pregnant. Then between the two of those, I have gained a couple of pounds.

Cute bumps everyone!! I started weekly pics with LO at 11 weeks. I'll probably start this time either now at 9 weeks or wait until 10 weeks.

@krispi: I'm in the same boat as you. I feel like the "bump" I have now is 50% residual from LO and 50% bloat!
@MrsADS: that's how I was with my first! Took me forever to show. My taller but short torso'd friend who was two weeks ahead of me looked about two months ahead of me!
I'm doing monthly pics. After 33 weeks of pics last time (7-40) DH might divorce me if I request them again haha

Ugh! I have GOT to stop waiting until late in the evening to try to take my vitamins (and fish oil, etc)! I always wind up feeling sicker and sicker the later it gets, and the thought of taking anything makes me want to hurl. It's like drinking until you're *this* close to puking, then trying to convince yourself to take another shot. Except I NEED my vitamins. I have avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder, so at my best I'm not eating very healthily. And I'm definitely not at my best eating-wise during the first tri. Gah. I told DH to fuss at me to take them earlier. Really hope they don't keep making me feel sick the whole pregnancy!

I broke down and bought my first maternity items yesterday, just 2 tank tops from Target. I also have a belly band that my SIL loaned me. Most of my regular shirts are not long enough to comfortably hide the fact that my pants won't button.
I've been trying to wait until the ultrasound (tomorrow!!) to buy anything. I have a feeling maternity pants aren't too far off.

@krispi: I have already been living in my maternity work out pants from LO #1, and am planning to wear some maternity work pants this week. Aaaaaand I already bought a new pair of black maternity skinny jeans at H&m that I will be wearing soon.
My belly bloat is already huge. I could pass for 5 months pregnant (from the side, when I don't suck in). Here are the H&M pants and maternity shirt!

@krispi: I bought two pairs this weekend! I couldn't use the hairband trick any longer. I'm slightly nervous as my first ultrasound isn't until Thursday! Fingers crossed!!

Wow you girls look so cute with your bumps!! I don't have anything going on down there yet.
Also anyone experiencing pregnancy constipation? I'm feelin pretty miserable in that department!
grapefruit / 4862 posts
I can pass for a few months. It's mostly residual baby #1 flub + bloat. I'm 7+1 haha. And I feel like I can't hide it! I WFH so I wear yoga pants 24/7. Just bought 2 more (I wore them through my first pregnancy- stretchy!) since my old pairs have a few tiny holes. So now I'm a person who has "home" yoga pants and "dress" yoga pants
Also my cravings this time are BEYOND. All I want is a beer. I would kill for a beer. We also just received a beer of the month club for Christmas. Goodbye cruel world. I'm going to go hide in my closet and cry.

@kjpugs: omg, all I want is beer too. The day before I got my BFP my husband brought me home this delicious stout, that I didn't drink. It mocks me now....

We went to bed at 10 as usual, but I couldn't sleep because all I could think about was how badly I wanted some mashed potatoes. So now I'm up at 10:45 making mashed potatoes. Thank goodness we had some instant ones in the pantry! Not healthy, but just what I want!

@kjpugs: I have an intense desire for Taco Bell....maybe I can indulge tomorrow!

@Torchwood: Mmmmm mashed potatoes...All I want are carbs these days, which is going to be bad if I end up with GD again.
pear / 1809 posts
@Torchwood: Mashed potatoes sound good! I'm living off carbs right now, since it's all I can handle with my morning sickness.
I feel bad for DH, because I'm not cooking dinner for him right now. All the food smells really bother me, plus I wouldn't eat most of what he would want me to cook. He understands, since he can tell how much morning sickness bothers me.

Started having cramps and red bleeding this morning - trying not to freak out Going to the doctor at 11:30.

Going back to work was rough today...getting up early is NO good for my nausea! I finished my PB&J bagel like 4 hours later.
I told a coworker today because we were talking about daycare etc and how it looks like I'm going to stay home after this school year.
In terms of the showing dept., I'm not really showing much yet. Some bloat, but I look right about where I did with DS. I'm shorter, but I have a long torso, and I started this pregnancy 6-7lbs lighter than last time, so that may have something to do with it.

Saw the doctor and had a u/s. Baby and heartbeat look great. I have a few subchorionic hemorrhages, which is why I had the bleeding and cramping. They said I may have more.
The dr. sent me home on bed rest the rest of the day and prescribed Magnesium tablets (smooth muscle relaxer) to take 3x a day for the next few weeks - not sure I understand that entirely but I think it is to relax the uterine muscles to reduce the risk of miscarriage? I am already on vaginal progesterone.
They said if it's better tomorrow, I can go back to work, but if I have ANY cramping or bleeding they want me to go home and lay down. They are going to check me again on Friday and then weekly after that to see if the clots are being absorbed.
Scary stuff!!

The nurse just called and apparently I have group b strep, which I didn't have last time. Anyone have experience with that?
kiwi / 696 posts
@Mrs. J: I had it last time. Depending on your labor/birth scenario (I had an induction) your ob might suggest getting to the hospital early in labor as they try to give you a certain amount of antibiotics prior to birth.
Since I had an induction they started my first dose (it's IV antibiotics) right when they started my induction.
