So sorry to those feeling horrible I know how much it sucks. Thumbs up to those who are working while feeling so bad! Morning sickness hasn't been too bad for me the past few days so I'm praying the worst is over.
12 week NT ultrasound is all booked for January 20th, can't wait to see baby again!

@lil owl: So sorry you're feeling so bad Did it end after the first tri last time or did you have it the entire pregnancy?
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@Torchwood: Yeah, that's kinda how I'm feeling. I love having a boy so much and the thought of LO having a brother so close in age makes me so happy. On the other hand, I'd love to experience having a girl too! Either way, I'll be thrilled We're planning on having 3, so it's not like I definitely won't ever have a girl if this one's a boy.

@Mrs. Microscope: Thank you! It's good to see so many familiar faces on here!
@lil owl: Ugh, that sounds awful - here's hoping it eases up soon. And let me just say, you totally have my empathy with the bending over and throwing up. What is with that?!

@raspberries: Welcome! In my last pregnancy I was working, but luckily I had a cubicle with a back way to the bathroom. I did tell my two make co-workers who had adjacent cubicles, not because they noticed my eating or bathroom habits, but because I was being SUCH a bitch!
pear / 1955 posts
@OhCaptain: Ahhhh, I was hoping the bitchiness would get better as I get farther along!!! I'm in HR and have interviews all week, and I'm finding it really hard to be patient and professional with answering the same questions over and over. I feel like I should apologize to every single person I interview - it's not their fault I've already explained our bonus structure 3 times today!

Hi yall! I had my first prenatal appt today. Pretty standard stuff. They didn't listen for heartbeat but the midwife checked my uterus and said it felt very pregnant yay! I'm calling in the am to schedule an ultrasound for later this week or early next. Yay!
So sorry yall are feeling so crappy with the ms

@lilteacherbee: I threw up till 30 weeks... I had an induction at 42 weeks, and I swear I told the nurse that I wouldn't mind and could easily go another week or two because I felt so good. I shocked everyone at the pool being 42 weeks and in a bikini....
But I got daily IV fluids till 25 weeks and was such a mess... I hope it's not another 25-30 weeks of misery.....

@lil owl: That sounds awful! I hope your morning sickness doesn't last as long this time.
I'm still struggling with my morning sickness, but last time it went away by 17 weeks. That's just 8 more weeks! It seems far away, but I know things could be worse.

@MrsStar: Mine is booked for the 19th! Yay! We will have a flood of new ultrasound pictures.
@lil owl: I'm sorry you're feeling so rotten

@Torchwood: Yay for finding out the sex so soon! And hoping for good test results as well.
I know it's a bit early, but everything looked good at our 8 week ultrasound, so I went ahead and told my boss and my team at work yesterday. I was excited to share the news, but mostly I was just tired of trying to hide it, and I feel like it's only going to get more obvious from here. They were all super excited, and I am lucky to work in a supportive and family friendly place. I'm actually the last on the team to have kids, so they've all been through it before, and it's nice to have people to talk to who've been there and done that.

@krispi: how exciting! I'm trying to hold out a few more weeks, although I think my dept chair is dying to ask me.

@krispi: So glad your reveal went well! Even though I've worked here since before LO #1 and have already revealed a pregnancy to my boss, still nervous to reveal this one!! It's so awkward haha.
@Mrs. J: I'm sure everyone has their suspicions about me too. I'll be telling them in 2 weeks or so after my NT scan.
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@krispi: Yay, exciting!! I know it's such a relief to let it out! I'll probably start telling people after our NT scan in 2 weeks (my boss already knows). It's even more interesting because both DH and I work at the same school (I teach pre-k and he's a 3rd grade teacher). It will be BIG news around here haha

@krispi: glad it went well for you! so important to have a supportive team like that.

Anyone doing bump pictures? I did them weekly last time and I was OVER ITTT before the second trimester. This time I'm trying monthly. A little behind - oh well. I figure after I "survive" each month I'll take a picture with it checked off. Once a month I can handle. Sorry second child. Just made the shirt today! Trying to decide if I do all red checks or rainbow- what do you think?

Whoops pics didn't post. Here's last baby's weekly pics (just one example)

@kjpugs: What a cute idea with the shirt! I'd love to do something like that but I know I won't. Last pregnancy I took weekly pics but they were mainly just bathroom selfies that I uploaded into my pregnancy app. I like the idea of doing monthly pics. Weekly is a lot!

@Mrs.Scientist: I have a hard time comprehending now much time I had on my hands back then!!! HAHA!

@kjpugs: I feel the same way! I feel like I can't even remember what it was like to once have so much free time.

@getjazzy: @lilteacherbee: @Mrs. J: @krispi: yay for telling at work! I haven't yet either but am also thinking about when. I work remotely so no matter how I tell my (male) boss it's awkward. And then my team (who never sees me) is like ???? when I go on maternity leave. But it doesn't seem normal to be on our weekly call "oh hey I'm pregnant." We have a team of 22 and only 3 ladies including me. We need one of the awkward face emojis

@kjpugs: Super cute ideas! I took semi weekly pictures (aka usually a few days late and I missed a few weeks) starting at 13 weeks. I will probably do it again this time since it was just random mirror selfies, no big production or anything. Hopefully I can find the time to snap at least that haha.

@kjpugs: I'm just doing random bathroom mirror pics! Cute shirts!
pear / 1955 posts
@kjpugs: Ahhh, that's a really cute idea! I'm probably going to do some kind of documenting starting at around 12 weeks, but I haven't decided exactly how to do that. I'll probably have DH take a picture in front of a blank wall so I can photoshop words onto it, unless I can think of something better!
nectarine / 2086 posts
@kjpugs: that's too cute!! I love the rainbow colors
I haven't take any pics yet bc I don't look any different but I guess I should start! I downloaded this app called A Beautiful Mess. It's a photo editor and you can add the cutest borders and text and phrases to your pics. And they have a rly cute pregnsncy pack for $1 with cute sayings, makes it easy to take bump pics so I think I'll do that.

I just ate a grilled cheese sandwich and chips for dinner lol. Hubby is working late and I can't be trusted around the pantry alone haha.

My first appointment (tomorrow) just got cancelled! I'm seeing a midwife at a birth center, so appointments get bumped when they anticipate someone delivering, which is the case tomorrow. I'm bummed, but obviously understand!

@krispi: Glad your big reveal went well!
@kjpugs: Love your shirt! That's a great idea.

@OhCaptain: That's a bummer but good that they would clear your schedule for you too if you were delivering! Hope they can rebook you soon.

I had pretty bad morning sickness with my last baby, but it's actually worse this time around, which I didn't think was possible. I'm beginning to wonder if I have HG. I'm taking the maximum dosage of zofran and have been for a couple weeks now. But even on zofran, I'm still feeling nauseous and miserable all day long. I vomit about once a day (before zofran it was like 3 or 4 times a day), and I can barely eat anything. I have no appetite at all, and everything I think about eating sounds gross! I'm trying to eat carbs whenever I can, but I've lost about 7 pounds so far.
Has anyone had HG before? Does this sound like what I have? Not sure if there's anything I can do besides keep taking the zofran.

@kjpugs: I started taking weekly pics at 11 weeks last time. I loved looking back and them and comparing at the end! I'll be 10 weeks on Saturday, so I might start this weekend.
Here's some of mine from LO. The last board had his full name and birth stats

@getjazzy: Kinda sounds like my dinner, plus some ice cream
@aprild: I'm so sorry, that sounds miserable and you're taking care of a toddler?! I don't know how you do it. I'm exhausted with mine and my nausea is very mild. Do you think your doctor could do anything more?
pomelo / 5132 posts
@aprild: that sounds awful
@kjpugs: love the new shirt! I started right away last time. I was ten weeks yesterday, so I think I'm making DH take a pic today.
