Hubby and I are still working through our girl names-- I'm 99% sure that her name is going to be Caroline, which is what I picked out for my girl name, literally the day we found out I was pregnant -- but we haven't set it in stone yet because he wants to wait until we get a little closer!

The only thing I know for sure is that her middle name is going to be "Joe" spelled like the boys name after my Grandpa Joe who passed away a few years ago... we won't call her "Caroline Joe" though if that ends up being her name, just Caroline... or CJ

A couple of the veto'd names have been:

Amelia
Emmerson
Charlotte

Have any of you waited awhile to finally settle on a name?? How long did it take?

Thanks! I took a really long blogging break-- and it was definitely a surprise as we'd pretty much said "forget it" after such a long time trying!

I was thinking of coming back as a blogger but I've been having such a hard time coming up with posts and the motivation to write them that I'm holding off until I can get my mojo back and then reapply!

I was waiting until I started blogging again before I "came out" on the boards LOL but then I really wanted to chat, so I figured I'd let the cat out of the bag!

@Mrs. Jacks: I pretty much just said "if it happens it happens... I don't want to stress anymore" that's about when I stopped blogging-- I wasn't doing anything anymore and I didn't really have anything left to write about after that TTC-wise

I think it was a little over a year from the date my normal cycles started back up after the Lupron shots-- that we conceived, which actually falls in the "average" range of time it can take for a fertile couple... I found that to be hilarious and wonder if I would have had better luck had I started getting endometriosis treatments sooner!

@Mrs. Pink: Can I just say how happy I am that you are posting about this? I saw your name as a 'latest response' on the November board and I just started grinning about it.

As for Caroline, that's a beautiful name. I also like Caroline Joe....I know a good friend that their first child is named Joseph for the middle name regardless of being boy or girl. Their daughter is Maci Jo, short for Maci Joseph. So precious!!!!

We finally got down to two name choices, but really we have a set one that we are going with. We aren't telling family until we have the baby. Well, I told my mom.

I love Maci Joseph too- it's so cute!

I like the idea of a girlie first name and a more masculine/unisex name for a middle name and if we have any other baby girls I think I'm going to follow that pattern

@Mrs. Pink: Ours is actually going to follow the same pattern. She has a girly first name with DH's name to make it a double first name. Then, her middle name is my maternal grandfather's first name.

Caroline was our #1 choice when we were team green! Didn't seem to fit when we found out #2 was a girl, and was VERY sad to let it go... still a favorite of mine!!!!!!!

We haven't decided yet and probably won't until much closer to the EDD but we know that her name will start with E and these are the names that we're considering:

-Evelyn (Evie), Everly, Everleigh, Emilia, Elizabeth, Edith (We'd call her Edie- it's a family name), Emily and Eleanor (Nora)

@MrsTiz: Great idea! I was thinking about how we should add names to the list the other day!

We do have a name 100% set, but I have a thing about actually using that name to refer to baby before birth, so I am waiting to announce it on here. If asked directly I will tell someone (I would wall it for those that ask on HB), so it's not like it is some huge secret, it just makes me uneasy using it and/or hearing my LO called by their name before birth....and this is where you all realize how insane I am

@anbanan15: That is not crazy AT ALL. I felt the same way throughout my pregnancy. Once we picked a name, we still never really wrote it or spoke it until C arrived.

@MrsTiz: Ooooh, cute names!!! We're still working on getting names narrowed down. I think we'll go in with a few that we like and once we see baby girl, pick one! As of now, total front runners are:

-Gemma (top 2)
-Adelaide (top 2)
-Zoe (husband has looooved this name forever, we're a little worried about it being "grown up" though)
-Charlotte (I loooove this name, but DH has some family ties to it we're a little iffy about)

So yeah, more than likely, she'll be Gemma or Adelaide! So crazy!
