@chibee: I've been taking Tylenol with a cup of coffee. The caffeine helps a little too. It's really not doing much besides dulling the pain a little. If I could take my excedrin this headache probably would have been gone already.

@mrskc: Happy second tri, due-date buddy

I have been feeling better in the afternoons/evenings (when my m/s was the worst), but now this morning I'm feeling pretty yucky. Hopefully it's over soon.

I do have some sad news I've been dealing with. I found out a few weeks ago that my Dad has cancer. On Friday we found out that it is pretty advanced and aggressive, and he has refused treatment since it wouldn't do much good. He is expected to pass within a couple weeks I'm pretty sad that he won't be here in August. I've been spending more time with my parents, and at least its helping me feel more at peace with the situation.

Ok, on to happier stuff. Anyone do anything fun this past weekend? We told some of our closest friends over dinner, just before getting a few inches of snow! Luckily everyone got home safe. I have some relatives coming into town this weekend, so we'll tell extended family on Sunday at lunch.

@Mrs.Someone: I'm so sorry to hear as well. I'm sure I don't have the right words to say but I'll say a prayer for your family tonight.

Today, DH got texts from his cousins who had heard the news about our pregnancy. DH specifically told his mother not to say anything until the end of February. Turns out she told people at the end of January....just great!

Right now Target has a cartwheel coupon for 40% off one maternity item! I scored some maternity jeggings for $21. They're pretty comfy but the crotch seems a little low. Hopefully they'll fit better once my bump gets bigger.

I haven't looked at any maternity cloths yet. I don't know why but it stresses me out. Lol. I have my leftovers from last pregnancy but looking at my tiny grocery bag I'll never know how I made it to 37 with only 3 pairs of bottoms.

@Aandmklover: LOL I lived on one pair of jeans! And a lot of empire waisted dresses and leggings.

I've mainly picked up some tops this time already from Classifieds. I need t shirts this time because we'll be in summer.

    I need some prayers please.

So long story short, a unit next to ours at work spilled some dangerous chemicals and I was exposed to it. There were firemen and every thing and the whole building was evacuated. Since I am pregnant they sent me to the hospital.

Please pray that the baby is ok.

    @locavore_mama: @BakerBee: @Mrs.Someone:

Thank you. Here is an update :

Basically what happened is the unit next to ours messed something up and Hydrogen Sulfide was being released in to the air. So we were evacuated and the firemen told me that since I am pregnant I should get checked out. The hospital took it very seriously (fastest ER visit ever!). So they drew blood and said that nothing was elevated or anything so me and baby should be fine. The doctor didn't check the baby or anything but we should be OK.

My DH is pissed though because when we first smelled it he went over there and they assured him it was nothing dangerous. Then half an hour later we were being evacuated and firemen were going in to the building with gas masks on.

So now the problem is we had to send all our employees home. We don't know when we're going to be able to get back in to our office.

@pui: So glad to hear you are okay, though. I hope everything else works out!!

Question: Is anyone else starting to feel uncomfortable when they are on their back in bed? I'm not sleeping when I'm laying that way, usually just watching the Olympics in bed. I always end up having to turn on my side.

  36. mrs. 64

    nectarine / 2936 posts

@pui: Oh no!! I'm so glad you and baby are ok. What a mess though. I would be really angry with your work neighbors.

  37. Mrs.Someone

    pomelo / 5228 posts

@pui: Yikes, but glad you and baby are fine! Hopefully the building owners will reprimand your neighbors somehow. If not, your husband should go over there and tell them about your pregnancy and how it could've harmed you.

@BakerBee: I'm starting to feel it a little bit, but I'm usually a side sleeper so it hasn't bothered me too much get. I notice it more while laying on the couch.

  38. pui

    bananas / 9899 posts

@Mrs.Someone: When we last stopped by, the Ministry of Labour was there so we're thinking our neighbours are probably in some trouble. DH made sure to tell the Ministry that they told him it wasn't dangerous when it clearly was, putting his employees and pregnant wife in danger.

@BakerBee: Not me! My back is still the most comfortable position for me (I'm a back sleeper). I'm dreading when it starts not working anymore!

  39. Mrs.Someone

    pomelo / 5228 posts

@pui: Good! I can't imagine what their own employees got in contact with, yuck...

  40. pui

    bananas / 9899 posts

@Mrs.Someone: Yeah apparently in their unit the level of hydrogen sulfide was high enough to make someone seriously ill. When we were there a few hours ago the problem hadn't actually stopped either... the chemicals are still reacting or whatever and more and more gas is being released! The firemen are just trying to stop it before they can clean up/air out the place.

I don't think they even having zoning to be doing that kind of chemical work in our building.
