@pui: Yikes! You guys just remodeled your space too, right? Hopefully you can work from home for a few days...

@Mrs.Someone: Yeah we just finished renovations lol. Maaaan!
I can work from home easily, but unfortunately our guys can't get much done remotely... hopefully we're able to get back in there soon. Or at least for enough time to modify the server so that they can work remotely.

@pui: glad you guys are ok but hopefully you can get some things moved around to work from home until you get the all clear.
Guys I'm so excited. I have decided to pull the trigger on applecheeck cloth diapers!

@chibee: @T.H.O.U.: @msmug:
Thanks for checking up on me! I am totally fine health wise. Our office has also been cleared up and we're back at work which is great!
I am super nervous about my ultrasound tomorrow. I wish they checked on baby yesterday while I was at the hospital. I haven't seen or heard the heartbeat since 7 weeks.

@pui: Glad all is well today! I was super nervous about my last ultrasound too (12w), unfortunately all we can do is hope that all is fine. You've got a lot of us hoping for you

@pui, @mrs. someone: I totally understand about feeling nervous for the next ultrasound! Last time I had one was about 4 weeks ago. I have my nt scan this Friday, so I'm a little anxious and nervous and hoping all is still well!

I agree, I have to wait 5 weeks now! Luckily my OB was like, "Are you going to be ok with that". I assured him I would be since its not like I love hiking over there once a week but he let me know I could come back sooner if needed.

@pui: glad you are okay!! i'm surprised they didn't at least listen for the heartbeat while you were in the hospital. i don't know anything about normal hospital protocols, but i mean, you went in because you were pregnant! anyway, i'm glad you have an appt tomorrow and hoping it goes great!!

@kodybear: Yeah they only checked my blood and said I was fine so the baby should be OK too. Ah well.

@Mrs.Someone: I am late on this, but I am so sorry to hear about your dad's diagnosis. I am wishing you and your family peace!
@pui: eek that is so scary and I would be really angry if I were you. Chemical exposure is terrifying. I hope that everything turns out OK.

Would anyone else be interested in having a non-gold gender thread for August 2014? I just saw there is a gold thread going but I don't have gold. I thought gold threads were mostly for pictures or other personal info (but maybe I'm just weird in thinking that gender isn't that personal!).
pomegranate / 3895 posts
@babybean404: I would participate on non-gold, too! There is a copy of my ultrasound on the gold one (we were talking about the nub theory) and I liked the privacy.
pomelo / 5228 posts
@babybean404: Thank you
And feel free to start the non-gold thread, I'd be up for it. Though I don't feel like I'll have much to say about gender until the anatomy scan, which seems like forever from now!

@babybean404: I think we absolutely should have another non-gold thread for gender and things like that.

Oh you guys. Eat your fiber and drink your water! I've never really had a problem with constipation but with my nausea, I haven't been eating great at all. I woke up Wed morning at 2 am with extreme pain in my left abdominal that wrapped around to my back. It was so bad I couldn't sleep. I ended up going to urgent care in the morning and the doc said she thought it was due to constipation! She gave me Zofran and a prescription for it so at least I could get down some fruit and water. I ate some apples, avocado and curled up on the couch and fell asleep sitting up. Woke up and thank goodness the pain was gone! But my goodness it hurt like hell. I would say on par with the pain I felt mid way through labor. Eat your fiber ladies!

@mrskc: Yikes! So glad you're feeling better though.
@pui: Thinking of you today! Hope all goes well.

So, I think I felt movement last night! I had felt something similar before, but this was repetitive and was the first time I really felt like it wasn't just digestion. It felt like I was being tickled from the inside It kept making me laugh though so I had a hard time falling asleep....I know its early (15w5d) but I can't wait for more!

Hi all! I am outing myself - expecting our first August 8th!
I'll be 15 weeks tomorrow, and told the world about a week ago.
I've loved reading all of your stories, updates and thoughts these past 31 pages of August fun, and I'm looking forward to being a formal part of the group.
@JennyPenny: I have felt that SAME feeling about 3 times thus far, and I described the exact same way! I told my husband it was like an "internal tickle" and I swear the first time, laying in bed, I was only… 13 weeks or so? I didn't believe it was real until I described it to some women at work (mommas) and they were like "that's the baby!" Cheers!

Hey everyone! So I am super relieved, baby is just fine! Man it's amazing what a difference a month makes. I got to see his/her little fingers and actually see him/her move around. It was pretty darn amazing.

@yellowskates: Welcome! You've been keeping a big secret! Hope you are having a great pregnancy.
@pui: Glad the check up went well. I can't wait for our AS because you get to see so much (brain, bladder, heart, etc).

@pui: glad your ultrasound went well!
@yellowskates: welcome!
@mrskc: hope you feel better soon! constipation has been my main symptom and it is no fun at all. in addition to fiber, one thing that has worked for me, sadly, has been a mcdonald's hamburger and fries.
small update from me: I had my NT scan on Monday, and everything looked great! I was measuring about 4-5 days ahead, which was actually such a relief given my early anxiety. I may post a pic on the gold thread, but the baby had his/her hands up by his/her face the whole time; it was sooo adorable! now I'm at a huge work conference for the weekend and slowly revealing the big news to my colleagues, which is pretty fun!

@pui: Great photo! Kindof looks like a boy in the top photo, but I think that's just the leg

@Mrs.Someone: Yeah I can't tell anything lol! I didn't even ask about the nub or for the technicians guesses on gender... I was just happy to see the baby moving in there!

@pui: yay!! glad your appt went well. and i agree with @mrs.someone, that totally looks like a boy nub! unless its a leg... haha so hard to tell.

Morning sickness has finally gotten better! As soon as that stopped- BAM, virus! has anyone had to endure a bad virus/cold yet with pregnancy? I am feeling bad for taking some time off of work, but it is twice as difficult to push through right now!
