@xInfinity: brushing my teeth has been the worst offender for me. A few times this week, just gagging a little on my toothbrush has caused me to throw up. I've just given up on brushing them well for now.

@stratosphere: I could not deal with this my entire pregnancy. I'm hoping it's completely gone in the next couple of weeks. Glad results all came back good! You're leaving us all hanging! What are you having?!

@pui: totally jealous of your trip! We probably won't do any babymoon this time. Last time we had a long weekend at the beach which was nice.

@locavore_mama: oh no!! That's awful. I hope you start feeling better soon.

@T.H.O.U.: @xInfinity: It's a GIRL!!! I'm so thrilled!!! For some reason I have really felt it's a girl so I must admit I would have needed a while to adjust if the news had been different. Now we can really get serious about names...

I get to stop Crinone tomorrow! YAY!

The only thing is obviously we miscalculated and bought an extra box I completely am not going to use... Yikes, that's $250 down the drain. :\

@pui: Yay! Maybe call the pharmacy and see if you can return the unopened box? Its unlikely, but worth a call at least.

    @BakerBee: Yay, great news!

We've started to tell more friends, and boy is it nerve wracking! I kindof liked it being our little secret Everyone is excited for us so far. One friend just called me (at 8am) and has already started giving me advice

@Mrs.Someone: They told us when we bought it that there were no returns, so I doubt they will even consider it. I still can believe how expensive this stuff is!

@pui: don't know what it is but sell on HB Classifieds?

  17. pui

    bananas / 9899 posts

@locavore_mama: Would that be allowed...? I don't think I'd be able to ship it, right? Basically it's progesterone supplements (the kind for people allergic to nuts). I needed a prescription to get it.

  18. Mrs.Someone

    pomelo / 5228 posts

@pui: I think that selling could be considered drug trafficking unfortunately (especially internationally)... Though you could ask Mr. Bee?

  19. pui

    bananas / 9899 posts

@Mrs.Someone: I have a feeling that even within Canada shipping prescription drugs to someone (or even just giving them) would probably be considered bad lol.

I wish I could sell them back to the pharmacy for like half the price or something. I guess I could try it. I'm pretty sure it's going to be a flat no though.

    pomelo / 5228 posts

@pui: Maybe ask your RE or OB office about what they would suggest? I think a lot of the clinics around here take donations of extra meds, but no buy back.

@kodybear: @locavore_mama: @T.H.O.U.: @pui: @Mrs.Someone: @chibee: Thanks everyone!! It is so exciting to know so early, though it's interesting that I kind of liked not knowing, too...right before we listened to the voicemail, my husband said "come on, let's listen! What are you waiting for?" and I thought about it and said "I don't know, it feels almost too soon to know! Like maybe we really need 20 weeks to think about baby more abstractly and to have all the wonder and possibilities open and in front of you."

And he said "well, I think that's a bit philosophical. It's going to be a huge surprise whether you find out now, at 20 weeks or in the delivery room. Now let's listen!!!"

In any case, I am so happy to be having a girl (that's what I *really* wanted, though I can tell DH wanted a boy, he'll be a great girl daddy), but I can totally understand Team Green.

Now it's time to get to work on names (SOOO hard...I had so many boy name ideas, but a blank slate for a girl).

@stratosphere: yay!!! How exciting!! Baby girl clothes are so fun to buy!!!

@bakerbee: glad to hear the sonogram went well!

I announced at work and we made it Fb official yesterday and it feels great to have the secret out! Our appointment was good and fast today (after waiting 40 minutes ugh!) but the doctor found the hb right away and we scheduled our anatomy scan for March 7!!! 4 more weeks!!

    Have a great weekend everyone!

@stratosphere: congrats!!! that is so exciting!!! yay for being able to think of HER in a less abstract way!

we scheduled an elective ultrasound for Thursday 2/13. I'll be 15 weeks, and they say that if the baby cooperates we will definitely be able to tell the gender. If not we'll be able to go back for free. I think it's totally worth it, I just can't wait to know!

I still haven't gone public at work (I am 14 weeks). I think I will send a valentine's email to everyone on Friday if we can find out the gender on Thursday!

What did everyone do this weekend? I am cleaning out my closet to put away winter clothes and get out the spring/summer maternity stuff! Now that we are past our loss points and in the second tri I am ready to be pregnant!

@T.H.O.U.: Yay so happy for you. I think I'm going to feel more that way after my ultrasound this week!

Yesterday we went to high tea, which is always amazing. After that we went over to MIL's house and watched the Olympics and went out to dinner.

Today at church some people actually asked my husband if I was pregnant (!!!) I was helping on the worship team so I was sorta in the spotlight. I guess I really am showing, geez! I'm only 12w1d!

@T.H.O.U.: i was in bed all weekend! I have zero energy still, and it's a battle to do anything when i don't have to. I am sooooo ready for this first tri stuff to be over, i miss having energy and having an appetite and not feeling like crap every day!

Hey Ladies! I've been keeping up on the boards but just haven't been active!
@stratosphere: congratulations on finding out its a girl!

We had our NT scan last week. Everything looked good. Baby was bouncing around so it took them a while to get all the pictures/scans they wanted.

We plan on making it Facebook official on Friday, Valentines day. We are going to have DS pose with a sign that says
"This little heartbreaker is going to be a big brother. Arriving August 2014." I'm really excited.
Here's a picture of the sign we ordered.

How is everyone else announcing? Any cute phrases or saying? I love baby announcements!!

@Aandmklover: I was going to tie it in to our anniversary, which is on the 18th. I was just going to say something like "Happy anniversary J! You're such a wonderful husband and I know you will also make a great father this August!" Or something like that.

Has anyone's morning sickness gotten worse late in the first tri? I've been having more really bad days since I hit 10 weeks. I'm 11 now and had a really rough day yesterday. Today I'm at work and doing terrible. I keep trying to push through thinking the end is in sight soon but I'm struggling!!

@mrs. 64: I don't know if my symptoms have worsened, but now I'm getting MS in the middle of the night instead of the afternoon, which is making it super hard to get a good night's sleep. I hope it lets up soon.

    @stratosphere: congrats on your GIRL!!!!!

@T.H.O.U.: My grandparents were in town this weekend so we visited with them. Other than that we didn't do much.

@Aandmklover: Yay! Glad you had a good NT scan! I loooove that sign! So cute. Now I'm wishing I would have thought of a cute Valentine's day announcement. I bought a only child crossed out big brother shirt off Etsy that I'm waiting on. I plan to put DS in that and post the pic.

@mrs. 64: Yeah, things got really bad for me between like 9-11 weeks but at 13 weeks I'm definitely doing better.

I have been dealing with about a week now of headaches. I've always been prone to them. But man I can't take it anymore! Beginning of last week I had a headache from Mon-Wed when I realized I thought it was a sinus headache. I did the nedi pot and was able to get all the mucus out of my sinus and my headache went away. I got relief thur & fri but Friday night I got a migraine that has not gone away yet. I can't take my normal excedrin migraine that always makes it go away. I feel really bad taking Tylenol but I have to. What's weird is the same thing happened to me around the same time during my last pregnancy. I had about a week of headaches then nothing the rest of my pregnancy. So hopefully it's gone soon!

@mrskc: omg headaches are the worst!!!! I used to get migraines and i was praying that wouldn't happen this pregnancy and so far it hasn't... does tylenol work for you? when i had the flu tylenol really did not do a thing for me.
