@winniebee: nurse to sleep every night, and he usually has pretty good feeds then. Still won't take a bottle We tried the Merlin and zipadeezip but he really fights them. Considering the bathroom
@josina: bah I'm so sorry. That sounds really rough.
@Adira: ugh, I am not quite sure how to approach sleep training in a one bedroom apt we will see. He's been super congested lately, poor boy, which I think is contributing to the wake ups.
@MrsF: @winniebee: Ha, I'm so ready for the spit up to end!!

@theotherstark: Ugh, yes, Logan wakes up more when sick too. Does he take a pacifier at all? That's what worked for us to get Logan (and Xander) to start sleeping those longer stretches. Though I have good sleepers in general, so I'm probably not the best person to give advice.

Ahh lots to catch up! Was off work this morning since I had no childcare. Decided to take K to work myself to visit boss/co-workers. SO.MUCH.WORK It was actually my first time being out w/ baby by myself lol. Wrangling car seat alone got me exhausted!

@FaithFertility: And still G slept through all that?! I guess that's a huge victory! But I'm sorry you have so many house troubles lately!!
Also about the habit thing... Don't worry about it! I'm just doing whatever it takes until we sleep/nap train

@winniebee: This is great! Maybe Ryan is skipping the regression since his sleep was bad before! In my book he's pretty much STTN lol!

@theotherstark: No worry, H's birthday twin here is still keeping him company! Her night sleep is not the worst... Lately it's 4-5 hrs, then 3-4, then like 2-ish. BUUUT getting her down for the night is a crap shoot. I work on putting her down from like 7-9 and she either fights the whole way, or sleeps for 30 min then wakes up... And I end up nursing her to sleep some time after 9pm.. And her naps are horrendous.
One day, ONE day we shall look back and laugh...

@josina: That's why I bedshare. I can't even imagine physically getting up and walking from room to room even just once or twice at night! I will keep on doing this until we sleep train!

@snowjewelz: ugh,I'm so sorry she is fighting going down!! Yuck. I hope it gets better for you!

For the second time moms, how long did it take from your little one starting to try to crawl to actually crawling? I have time, right??
And h was rolling over tummy to back a ton a few weeks ago, and now isn't really doing it much. Should I be worried??
pomegranate / 3045 posts
Of course one minute after I posted that, he looked me in the eye and very deliberately rolled over. Eff you, mom!!

@theotherstark: Hahaha! I think I read that b/c they're constantly learning new things, sometimes they forget what they learned. K would do something and not do it for a while either, but then suddenly jump to some other new skill... Everything is crazy!!

@theotherstark: G too, it is like ok I rolled check on to the next thing....lol

@theotherstark: haha babies always making liars of us!

I think Ryan is hitting the regression in the form of naps. Up since 1 with two 15 min naps. I've tried hard! Holy smokes.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@theotherstark: I honestly don't remember how long it was from Xander getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth to actual crawling. A couple weeks to a month maybe? But he didn't crawl until around 9 months.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@theotherstark: a few weeks to maybe a month? I can't remember! T stated crawling at 7.5 mos

@winniebee: yikes!! Hopefully the lack of naps will mean awesome sleep tonight!!
@FaithFertility: @snowjewelz: phew. I know I have read that too, but as a ftm I worry about this stuff too much. Haha.
@Adira: @winniebee: thanks, ladies. I know we have a ways to go! During tummy time he keeps trying to pull himself forward and kicking with his legs, so I was just wondering.

@theotherstark: I would probably put off sleep training until he is no longer sick/congested. A is also sick and has been waking up 2-3x at night. Sick babies suck! Also, DD rolled when she was 3.5 months but never really crawled. She did a weird butt scoot!
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@Freckles: haha I love it when babies do the butt scoot. So funny.

@theotherstark: I think it was about a month from the time that M was up on all fours until she actually crawled (at about 9 months). She never army crawled.
J rolled from belly to back two times in a row two weeks ago and hasn't done it since. I don't think DH believes me!

K has been getting soo close to rolling back to front. She'll get all the way to her side, but can't move her arm out of the way so eventually she'll go back.
And like others I just commented in the Dec 2015 thread. I know others have said it, but it's so crazy to think it's been a year. I know I told my dad the first night of Passover and my inlaws on Easter I was pregnant, which were now at again!

@Miss Ariel: it's crazy! Every time I see that December board I think it's ours

@FaithFertility: Can't wait for pics!
K miraculously slept from 6:40 to 11:30 BUT we had to go in a few times to pick up and rock her... And then the rest of the night was kinda bad, 3 and then 2 hrs.
Once we get the ped's okay on Monday, we might just start sleep training... She really needs to learn how to self soothe!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: awwww let me know what pedi says.....
I'm so confused with G and self soothing
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: She can right? But just doesn't do it consistently? I think it's like all their other skills... Maybe she forgets she can sometimes? I'll also wall you some stuff I found useful from the sleep training group I joined on FB
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: She can and seems to do so more MOTN......thankfully I'll hear her up sucking and she will go back down......but drowsy/awake is less and less these days..thanks!!!
I also think I dint give her enough time to work.it out.....10 mins in swing/crib of awake/tiny fussing and I intervine.....if she is chill I should let her chill
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@whenoceansrise: No, Logan hasn't rolled at all as far as I know. Unless he does it at daycare, but he's never done it at home. And his laughs are just chuckles - not belly laughs.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@whenoceansrise: It took Xander a while to roll too so I'm not too concerned yet.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@whenoceansrise: Ryan rolled belly to back multiple times at 5 weeks but it was a fluke! No rolling yet. I think he will go back to belly first - he gets up on his side.
pear / 1961 posts
@whenoceansrise: we had one squeal but mostly smiles and no laughs. And she rolled once from belly to back earlier this week but nothing even close since. You're not alone, and E is one of the older babies of this group!
persimmon / 1050 posts
@FaithFertility: We did Easter bunny pics on Monday. No crying, so I was happy. lol
@whenoceansrise: M is 18 weeks & gets half way there when trying to roll over, but can never move the arm out of the way to complete it. Keeping the phone handy so I can try & catch it since he's soooo close.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@whenoceansrise: k has only rolled tummy to back like 3 times.. And her laugh is more chuckles too. And she is soooo stingy with them!

I just had an uninterrupted night of sleep with no kids. Yippee. We left both of them with family. I bet we are the only rested ones today.
