Well back from the Dr. And poor Ethan has an ear and sinus infection and was sent home with an inhaler. I type this as he sits on the floor happily singing his heart out! He had me fooled!
Hopefully that is the answer to the bottle problems then and maybe (one can hope) his sleep will magically get awesome after the round of amoxy?
I'm just glad we have a happy baby yet, tough guy!
His 6 mo. Weight is 19 lbs 10 oz., didn't get height.

@BandDmommy: !@Miss Ariel: peanuts unite! Nothing to feel bad about. Genehics dictates most of this stuff....

@josina: glad you took him in! That may be the answer to the bottle strike!

@josina: awww that most definitely might be the reason for the bottle strike

Would you give Tylenol? She keeps waking in what seems like pain, whimpering and such.....I mean it could be gas too, but she isn't arching
Just upset

@FaithFertility: Do you think she has a tooth coming in? (You probably said this but I worked today so I'm behind!). J just got his first bottom tooth and I bet the other one is on his way up. He was a disaster for DH today so he's gotten Tylenol twice
If you can see or feel a tooth and she's acting miserable I'd probably give it - particular at nighttime.
nectarine / 2210 posts
@winniebee: Very true... I was never on the charts growing up, which is why I'm not really worried about her tiny size.
nectarine / 2210 posts
@josina: Hope Ethan starts feeling better and he starts drinking his bottles again!

@MrsF: Ohh I am sure at her 4 month check up Pedi said he saw a bud...I can see like a white bump on the lower left side where she CHEWS her finger or thumb ALL DAY

@josina: Glad he's happy tonight, hope the antibiotics help him quickly and the bottles aren't a problem going forward.

Sleep training night number one is so brutal. He's been crying for an hour. I'm about to crack. I can't handle it!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@whenoceansrise: I'm sorry! Hugs! Did he stop yet or did you cave? No judgment if you did, I caved a couple nights too! Its so tough to here them cry, just remember its better in the long run, and they really will be fine!
nectarine / 2053 posts
@josina: it was going on 2 hours so I caved. I don't even know how I am going to try this again. Ughhhh
nectarine / 2210 posts
@whenoceansrise: I'm impressed you made it two hours! I'm not sure I could've handled it. Hopefully it goes better the next time you try.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: yeah I would give Tylenol
@Miss Ariel: I wasn't either! My older kid is barely on the charts too. Ryan is huge compared to how little he was!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@whenoceansrise: :(. Maybe try a different method? With checks? Ryan responds well to checks whereas my first did not.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@whenoceansrise: I am so sorry, listen to your heart..... maybe try check ins?

Gave Tylenol after like 5 wakes between 8-11
I am not even going to type our night
All I can say is poor baby!!
nectarine / 2053 posts
@winniebee: @FaithFertility: it was with checks. Maybe I should try without checks?
eggplant / 11861 posts
@whenoceansrise: What ever you decided ((hugs)) I am sure it is not easy!!!!

After a good night, I went to feed k when she was waking at 5. She was almost done, coughed and threw up the whole bottle on both of us. She later tried to throw up again but really had an empty tummy. Eventually she fell asleep on me. Not sure if this is random, drainage related or a tummy bug. We had a full weekend planned too.

@faithfertility: hope that tooth cuts soon! sorry you guys are having some rough nights
@whenoceansrise: we did some sleep training with my first so that she would put herself to sleep at bedtime and those went ok. i totally bailed the 2x we tried to night wean her because she was stubborn and it was awful. definitely take your time to re-assess and figure out if you want to try again/when and if you want to try a different method. too many variables, but i know you'll find something that works for you guys & sweet Micah.

@whenoceansrise: That must have been awful I'm sorry you guys are having a hard time. We didn't use checks for either of my kids because they just seemed to make them angry. Obviously every baby is different though!
@MamaG: Oh no! Does she seem to be feeling any better now?
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@MamaG: Hope she's doing better?
@FaithFertility: Poor baby. Not looking forward to teething! Is she happy during the day?
We had one wake up last night, amazing. We had planned on the zoo today but it's raining so saving for tomorrow. Excited! Ethan is still happy as usual, def. can't tell he's sick at all.
pomelo / 5298 posts
@MrsF: @josina: Thanks for asking ladies, she seems okay. She was in a good mood after. She's had a few bottles and we went with our plans for the day and she's been a trooper. I have a feeling this one just has a touchy tummy. She has been coughing some, so I wonder if it was originally a mucous thing.
pomelo / 5298 posts
Sigh! And again, nearly three hours after eating (and 14 hours after her first episode), throw up again. Again it was a cough, that didn't seem like that hard of a cough. I'm in for a long night, I'm afraid.
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@MamaG: Hope your night isn't too rough... When Ethan was sick with tummy issues it was a quick bug, so hopefully the same for you!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@MamaG: man! I didn't even get to read your good news before there was bad news I hope that she's feeling better and the night is better than you're expecting!
@josina: Glad that Ethan doesn't seem too affected. Have fun at the zoo!
honeydew / 7283 posts
J seems fussy on and off at night lately. I've been assuming that his second tooth is coming in, but it's really hard to get a look. He's already cried out a few times tonight so I might give him some Tylenol if he keeps it up. He was happier than usual today though so it's kind of a mystery!

@MamaG: Ohhhh no I am sorry
I hope she feels better soon
Hurts my heart when they are sick
eggplant / 11861 posts
@MrsF: Omg I was going to post the exact Sam thing
She had the worst night last night And has been up 3 times again already
We are thinking teeth too
honeydew / 7283 posts
@FaithFertility: Bummer Did you end up giving her Tylenol last night? Teething is no fair. I can't imagine how painful it must be!
pomelo / 5298 posts
@josina: Did Ethan have a fever with his tummy bug? What about with his current infection?
K doesn't have a fever just a cough (that seems minor to me) and sneezing. And the periodic throwing up.
Y'all throwing up is my weakness. It makes my stomach turn in knots and my head spin. I really want to run away and let someone else handle it and I will come back when it's all better. DH is feeding her now and trying to put her to bed. He normally does bedtime anyway, but I told him I just couldn't tonight and I couldn't make any decisions regarding to feed or not.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@MamaG: sometimes I find the decisions to be so overwhelming. Glad your DH could step in!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@MamaG: No fever with either. When he had tummy issues he was happy then too besides puking, I didn't realize he was actually sick till I got sick, he handled it much better than me!
Hopefully she's better in the morning!
