@snowjewelz: I should clarify....lol I meant weaning the MOTN feeds is hard/would be hard! Especially since I just give her the boob 90% of the time...lol
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Oh yeah! Usually for any other wake ups I can just rock her slightly for a lil bit, but if it's nursing time she won't relent until the boob is in her mouth lol!

@MamaG: I hope all will be back to normal at your house soon!

@snowjewelz: Being up for an extended period of time overnight is WAY worse than feeds. That's horrible!
@MamaG: I'm actually shocked that my husband was able to soothe J without feeding him overnight. He was apparently happy with just the paci and some rocking in the chair. We'll see how tonight goes!
So glad that your household seems to be feeling better. Not every day is a great day, but you are super-mom to those two girls, for sure

@MrsScallop: I hope that you all had a good day today and many ahead!
I mentioned this to the other girls, but I showed Molly (2.5) Cayla and Charlie's pictures when she was making cards for them. She looked at Charlie and said "he's so handsome! he has nice hair!". No mention of the medical "accessories". Made me smile (and he IS so handsome!)

@MrsF: that's great that last night went so well! Glad your pediatrician is on board

Ryan has been waking up soooo early even with night wakings. (By 530) But last night slept 7-645 with wakings at 1 and 445 and my older slept til 645 as well and I feel like a new woman. How sad is that?!

@MrsScallop: Yay! Glad it all made it to you! We're all thinking of Charlie and your whole family all the time and wishing you all the very best!

@winniebee: Woohoo for sleep!!! You deserve it! I'm really hoping R starts giving you some longer stretches soon. I don't know how you've been keeping it together on so little sleep this whole time. PLUS a restricted diet! You're amazing.

@winniebee: nice sleep!! keep it up, R!
@MrsF: Great that he was able to soothe without feelings!

I haven't been posting much - hard to keep up! We are on night, oh, 8? Of waking up before 5am for the day. I've tried moving bedtime forward and back, and nothing is helping. And that's on top of many night wakings. So I've been a bit of a zombie. Ha. Hopefully it's just teething or a growth spurt or something, and he grows out of it soon?? He had a few weeks of only waking 1-2 times a night, so I got a bit spoiled. Haha.

@theotherstark: whoooo so early

@theotherstark: yuck! hope you get a good sleep-in soon! (and by sleep-in, clearly i mean post-5am....oh the things i never thought i would say pre-kids! haha)

@KayKay: nooo who knows??? She chews on her thumb/fingers all day!
You guys?

@faithfertility: still just the bottom two are in. i thought the top two were coming but the blisters i thought i saw are gone...must've just been spit bubbles so i think we're in the calm before the (next) storm.

@KayKay: ha, right?! Last night, I caught myself thinking 'oh, if only he would sleep in until 6'
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@theotherstark: oh dear lord!!! Ryan has woken at 445 multiple times and usually it's by 530. Today when he woke at 445 I thought well here we go again. I hope it ends soon!!

@FaithFertility: awesome! How much longer did G actually sleep for?

K is officially no longer the youngest baby at her daycare. When I dropped her off the morning there was a mom dropping her 12 week son off so the first time. Crazy that she's no longer the baby in her class! Although I'm pretty sure size-wise she's still the tiniest in her class. I'm guessing she's only around 12 lbs? But her 6 month appointment isn't till next Friday.

@FaithFertility: awrsome!! Naps are so hit or miss here still! Usually a good one every other day and the rest crap
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@winniebee: Ryan and h need to get it together!! at least I'm not running around after a toddler!! I don't know how you do it. Hang in there!

Last night sleep was a mess in our house! K went down around 7:30, but then was awake "playing" in her crib from about 8:30 - 9:30. DH was up at 12:30 freezing cold and feeling feverish (no fever). K woke up shortly after at about 1:00 with gas. Which needed to be followed with a bottle. Then she was playing in her crib again until near 3:00. Sleep kid! Everyone was up and out the door at about 7:30, let's hope for the best today.
@Adira: @josina: how are you handling solids/daycare? I need to let them know today how to proceed for the month. My old daycare just fed their food when they saw fit. Here I have to provide the food and a schedule (or let the teacher figure out a schedule).
Non-BLW feeders, when will you introduce things like puffs? I can't remember when I let C have them.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MamaG: sorry about the illness and poor sleep. I feel you in that dept. we are doing a mix of purée and blw. I will give stuff like puffs once he has a pincer grip. He still is really clumsy with coordination though. I feel like I have it to my older around 7-8 mos?
nectarine / 2053 posts
@theotherstark: so early! sorry! hoping he'll start sleeping in a little (or a lot) for you soon!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: It is sad how we're so easily satisfied, haha! I call it a success as long as she doesn't wake up for 2 hours MOTN!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MamaG: So we JUST started solids at home (rice cereal), so I told daycare to start giving him rice cereal once a day (in the morning). They're going to experiment to figure out exactly how much. Today they are going to mix it with water, but if he hates it, I'll provide extra breast milk for that. If I needed to provide them more details about when, I'd tell them to give it to him an hour after his first bottle probably.
As for puffs, I can't for the life of me remember when we introduced them with Xander. It was definitely sometime AFTER 8 months because it was after we realized Xander was allergic to milk.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@theotherstark: I push bedtime as late as possible (contrary to the norm) b/c if she goes to bed too early she wakes up for like 2 hrs MOTN! Some crazy kids we have. I don't even know how I function at work sometimes lol!
