@whenoceansrise: @snowjewelz: thanks, ladies hopefully his sleep settles back down again soon!
@Miss Ariel: our babes are getting so big!! I meet every week with a group of other moms that had babies in the last few months, and h is the oldest. So crazy, seeing the other younger babes!
@MamaG: sounds like a brutal night!! Yikes. Hopefully tonight is better.

In the good news dept (bc sometimes I feel like I complain too much on here ), h has started saying 'mamamama' and 'momomomom' (and 'bababababa') alllll day. Haha. So cute!! Im 98% sure he doesn't associate me with it at all, but I'm totally pretending he knows

@theotherstark: awww- micah started doing the "mamamamamama" thing but when he was crying like crazy when we tried to sleep train. it was a knife in my heart!
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@whenoceansrise: that is so tough!! Knife to the heart indeed. H's hard cries have always sounded like 'maamaa,' but since this weekend he's definitely purposefully forming the sounds, just to talk. So so cute! It'll be crazy when these babies actually start saying words!!

@theotherstark: ahh so exciting! although it's hard that are little ones are growing so fast- we have sooo much to look forward to!

@theotherstark: Because I've been trying to distance myself from the sickness, and DH is really pushing dadadada, when it sounded like K was saying it in her crib last night, I played along eagerly. Look Daddy, she's calling for YOU! He loves having Daddy's girls.
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@MamaG: haha!! Love it yeah, one of my friends said she was pushing dada before mama, so her Lo would call for dad at night and not mom

@theotherstark: awwwww!
We have an official stander here. She even lets go and smiles at us. What a weirdo...

@BandDmommy: I saw on IG - that is so great!! Good job, D! What a rockstar.

@theotherstark: Jealous!! No real "mamamamas" or "bababas" here yet. Just cooing still.
@BandDmommy: What a show-off!!! But an adorable one.

Love the mamamamam and dadadadda talk!
G also now makes a squeling sound when she sees the dogs!
I feel bad for DH today he worked 15hrs and ia sleeping today and G is going "bonkers" with this new toy that makes sounds and lights up! She knows it is supposed to sing so if I turn the volume off she gets mad....lol ohhh well
Also has been up since that great nap I wrote about that ended at 10:30..... but my sis is on her way over to watch her so I can go to my classroom and pack some stuff, hate to say it but I'm glad she will deal with her cranky booty

@BandDmommy: So awesome! She is growing up so fast!
K makes distinct bababa all the time, the "m" is more like MmmMmm. She also will shriek/scream/yell haha. I think she learned how to make noise to get our attention. One day she was in the jumperoo and we're all busy doing something else and she made a very distinct "yell" while looking straight at me! She also "calls" to the dog haha.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: @BandDmommy: Yes! Logan LOVES to screech and just do this high pitched yell!

we've STTN 3 nights in a row. i am a new woman.
e is finally rolling tummy to back A LOT. i don't think she realizes she can sleep on her tummy, though, so we'll see how that goes! this morning she was cobra-posing and eyeing me in the monitor when i checked on her.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@KayKay: hahahahha I have to laugh at the eyeing you in the monitor comment....lol I swear G waves to me as to say hey mom I'm up!
Yay on STTN 3 nights in a row!!! That must feel amazing!!!!I

K's sleep is sort of all over the place and she's definitely got a cold. She came home with a runny nose yesterday. She was congested overnight and coughing a fair amount this morning. Yippee! I hope its short lived.
DH also thinks he has whatever stomach bug was ailing the girls over the weekend. Ugh, I don't want it!
We are forecasted in the low 90's for the forseeable future, maybe we will get some pool time this weekend.

@theotherstark: So cute that H is chatting away J does lots of sqreeching and squealing, but not much real babbling.
@BandDmommy: I still can't believe D is standing. J is barely sitting! Crazy!
@FaithFertility: Yay for great naps!
@KayKay: You must feel great! STTN 3 nights is amazing!
@MamaG: Your poor sick family!
honeydew / 7283 posts
We had our third night of not feeding overnight last night and DH didn't even have to give J the pacifier. He works himself up to the head of the crib so he's crashing into the top and can't get back down. I guess DH just went in and pulled him back down to the bottom. He fussed for 10 minutes or so and then went back to sleep and slept 'til 7am!!! I woke up in a panic because he never sleeps past 5:30. It definitely makes me feel better because if he really *needed* to eat overnight he definitley wouldn't be sleeping so late.
Unfortunately we're going away this weekend so sleeping arangements will be all mixed up. I'm worried we're going to lose all this progress we've made!

@MrsF: Wow that is awesome!!!!!!! Good job DH and Mommy!!!!!
When we had to stay with my mom for a few weeks when we had our house being worked on I was sooo worried about G, but she did no better and no worse
eggplant / 11861 posts
@MamaG: hope you all get better!
Sleep is just a crap shoot.....lol
I give up the only pattern I see is one night great next night maaaaaa then good then maaa....
pomelo / 5298 posts
@MrsF: Awesome sleeping. I wish we could get K here. I'm not sure why she won't STTN. I took food to daycare today so maybe more calories during the day will help. Last night her wakeup was at at 12:30! And then again at 6:00. All in all, not horrible. But she also didn't finish two of her bottles during the day and was short a bottle. So she's not eating as much as she had been just last week.
Let's just say I'm jealous - can you send your DH to my house for three days I promise to only use him for his baby sleeping abilities and send him back well rested and rewarded for baby sleep victories
eggplant / 11861 posts
@MamaG: She should loan him out some nights I would pay top dollar!
nectarine / 2210 posts
@snowjewelz: @BandDmommy: @Adira: K does that too! She may not laugh that often, but instead does this high pitched happy squeal.
eggplant / 11861 posts
Ohh no....lol I just moved her mat and saw the letters and thought only HB bees would see this hahah
nectarine / 2210 posts
@FaithFertility: haha! I took my a while at first to get it and kept thinking it was about breastfeeding at first. Although it could be a cute way to announce in general... At least here!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@KayKay: So great! And I'm so jealous!
@MamaG: We are freezing here these couple of days! I had to dig out K's fleece and we had to turn on the heat!
@FaithFertility: Hahaha! Yeah only we'd see something like that! It's so hard for me to remember to use normal people terms when talking to my newly pregnant friend!

@mamag: who knows?! the big change for us was 2 weeks ago. e was still waking up 2x a night most nights, usually at 10ish and 2ish. one night i decided there was no way she was actually hungry at 10 (she had eaten a good amount of solids at dinner and then nursed for a long time before bed), so i let her fuss for 10 minutes on & off before she settled herself. that pretty much ended that wake-up and left one around 2 or 3. she skipped it one night (i accidentally turned the monitor off her room without setting an alarm to check on her in 10 minutes...whoops!), and we've been good ever since! she still wakes a couple times a night, but mostly just talks to herself for 10-15 minutes before she falls back asleep. so i guess i'm technically still waking up, but not having to get out of bed is pretty nice she also is doing pretty well with solids and taking a fair amount 2x a day (breakfast and dinner) so maybe the extra calories are helping?!

I'm way behind!
@MamaG: I just pack cereal right now for him and have her give to him at lunch when the other kids eat. I mainly only started that because he wasn't taking his bottles. I occasionally send applesauce with, and she knows he can have bananas if she has them there.
@theotherstark: E is great a mommommom, lol. Love it. No dadada's yet, but dh tries!
Ethan does a LOT of talking/screaming/singing!
@KayKay: Wow, awesome sleep. Hopefully it's permanent! E has become a side-sleeper most often. He STILL has not rolled back to belly. (that I've seen).
@MrsF: Awesome sleep. Motivation for us to try this sometime soon!
@KayKay: I've done the accidentally turn-off-the-monitor thing too and it gave me 6 hour stretch of sleep and a one-wake-up night the next night! Too bad it was short-lived and not ready to do it on purpose yet.

E's follow up appt. was good, his ears look good and chest sounded perfect. Still haven't gotten to 3 bottles at daycare again but she said he takes them easier.
He's so funny when he nurses anymore, he'll latch for a bit, then stop and look at me, latch, look, repeat. Has to know whats going on at ALL times.

Quick checkin here! We survived our flight yesterday & our first night sleeping somewhere new. He took 2 naps on the plane (first was during takeoff) & drank a bottle right before landing, so he did great. Carrying stuff & having a baby sucks when going through an airport though!
@BandDmommy: WTG D! Such a big girl!
@MrsScallop: Thinking of you guys! Glad you got another batch of goodies!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@KayKay: no, but I'm pretty sure
@josina: awww glad he is doing better!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: They are sooo cute. I know I'm supposed to not interact with her when she's nursing so she can focus but when she arches back to look at me I can't help but smile at her and then she smiles back and I melt! But then she is distracted lol
@AngelicOne: That is awesome!
