@FaithFertility: Glad to hear that G's sleep wasn't too affected by travel. I'm worried! (also - just the sight of that "BFP" makes me nervous! )
@MamaG: I don't think my DH has any secret soothing abilities - I think he can just tolerate a lot more crying than I can! I'll be happy to lend him out to you and @FaithFertility: (and he'd probably be happy to get away from his crazy wife and two kids!)
@snowjewelz: We've had our heat on too! Ridiculous!
@josina: Glad E's follow up appointment was good!
@AngelicOne: So glad your travels are going well! Have fun

I finally got a good luck in Jack's mouth today and I can see the little hole where his second tooth is trying to poke through. Can't wait to get it over with!

@FaithFertility: hahaha, too funny! BFP!
@josina: Logan does that too. Latch on and off constantly so he can look around. It's driving me crazy and I usually end the nursing session early! It's totally going to f up my supply I think.
@AngelicOne: Glad the flight went well! Have fun!!
@MrsF: Eeeeh, teeth!!! Logan doesn't have any yet, but I have to imagine they must be coming soon! Xander got his first at 7 months.

Cereal with water at daycare was a success today! They said he did really well and actually ate most of it! And then we tried carrots tonight and he was pretty into it. I can't believe we're doing solids already!

@MrsF: aha the tooth! Hope it's over soon!
Ryan has been a total fuss budget lately and it's so unlike him. I think we might be coming down with something new even though the boys weren't even over the last round of colds. I wish it was a tooth but I can't see anything. It's just constant whining! Sleep has been ok - the last few days even slept past 6! Last night just up once. Naps are hit or miss. Usually once a day he will do a nap of 1.5 hours but the others suck and it's not every day. Better than a few weeks ago though! Of course his brother had been waking every night to make up for it. Otherwise working hard on sitting unassisted and overall trying to be less of a klutz

@KayKay: 3 nights of sttn?!? Amazing! I'm hoping to get rid of the first feeding as well but waiting for the ok from pediatrician.

@josina: glad his appt went well, and he's taking more from the bottles!
@AngelicOne: so glad everything went smoothly !!
@MrsF: hope it pops through soon! I keep trying to check in H's mouth, but it's hard because he always sticks his tongue out when I do ha.
@Adira: nice job with the solids, L!!
@winniebee: H tends to be fussier when he is working on things - maybe he's just focusing hard on sitting, and it's making him fussy? Who knows with these babies I hope he isn't getting sick again.

@Adira: Glad he did well with solids today - they really are getting to be big kids!
@winniebee: Sorry Ryan's been so fussy Maybe a tooth? It's so hard to tell! Glad that sleep is getting better for you guys though.
@theotherstark: It took me 3 days of trying before I finally saw in there with a flashlight! I always assume it's more painful before you can even feel it though. Poor kids!

@theotherstark: M does the same thing when I check his gums for teeth too! He also does the tongue thing when I try to feed him. Makes it not work so well & he ends up wearing it. lol
M has been awfully fussy today, but did do an hour & 15 minute nap (30 of those minutes was sleeping on daddy).

@winniebee: I follow wonder weeks and k is def in a leap so Ryan could be too!

More colds. Tyler wasn't even done with the other one! And I've got this one. Unreal!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@BandDmommy: yep! He was in a good mood today (unlike yesterday) so I gave Advil and sent him. He probably got it there anyways. Mostly I just feel terrible for Ryan.

@winniebee: Ugh! K has a full blown cold too. This morning she woke with crusties in all sorts of places on her head. She sneezed and it was a huge mess, but I figured she had to feel better getting all of that out of her head. She cried. I tried to rationalize with her C had a bit of a crusty nose too this morning but otherwise seemed fine.
Hope y'all feel better quickly.

Quick rant...... the ladies I work with are over the top gossipers, I guess I always kind of ignored it or was just so used to it I didn't relize how bad it was......well being away for 5 months, I've been coming and going into my classroom the past few days to gather my things and relized...ohhh my goshh... that is all they do!!! Gossip and bash others I truly was about to say something yesterday!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: Ahh, this is crazy!
@FaithFertility: That sucks to know, I guess for you ignorance is bliss before! And I can't believe it's time for you to start getting ready to go back!

@snowjewelz: me either I'm partial about it.....lol
Definitely going to enjoy this summer with her!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: How are your hours as a teacher? Would you have to spend a lot of time at home prepping stuff? At least G is not rejecting the sippy so you don't have to be worried!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: I'm contracted 8:45-4:15 so pretty good hours, but ohhhh yes honestly as a teacher you could spend all day and still have things to do, pre G I would get to work at 7:45-8 and not leave till 5-6 like 3-4 days a week Just to keep up!
That will definitely change, I'll bring a lot home and make sure to stay organized and on top of things.....lol
I have a feeling I'm not going to be liked muxh as my team likea to "stay after and plan a lot" after school unpaid mind you, and well my priorities have definitely shifted!!!!
Yes, thankfully s ippy is going good, still not taking vest amounts but hey I'll take it :)))
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: I def am working just the bare minimum... I do feel bad b/c I always come in late and only stay for like half an hour max extra. But to trade off I don't really take a lunch break anymore!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: yeah I'm planning on eating in my room next year to grade and get a few things done too
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: @snowjewelz: i totally changed post Tyler! I previously worked like 8-630/7 and after him was 8-5....granted I took work home but I flew out the door at 5!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
I think I have an over eater. Ryan nursed at 2, 445, 8, 1030, (had carrots at 11), 1245, then ate 5 oz at 245, nursed at 515, (bananas at 6), 5 oz bottle at 7. That's 6 nursing sessions, 10 oz, and two meals. Even if he only took 3 oz at each nursing session (which I highly doubt since I routinely pump 4-6) that's 18 oz plus 10 definite oz (28 oz) and 2 meals. But I'm guessing it's more like 32+meals. He shouldn't have to nurse this much right??! He acts starved though
eggplant / 11861 posts
@winniebee: G has definitely cut back on nursing i think
She nursed today at 4, 8, (cereal @9) nursed 11:30, 2:45 5:30 (peas @6:30 and about 1 oz from sippy) nursed last @7:45
The 11:30 and 2:45 sessions I feed her she really dosent show signs??? But once she sees me get the boob ready her legs kick and she grunts...lol
eggplant / 11861 posts
@winniebee: is he chugging/ swallowing when nursing? Maybe he isn't getting a lot or distracted?
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: that's great she's slowing down. 6 sessions I could live with!! 6 and 2 pump = still too much. I have a babysitter coming a few hours x2 a week and I need to leave a bottle for that and he gets one before bed. It's funny he had 5 oz at 230 and when I came home at 4 he saw me and immediately wanted to nurse. Ummmm no! He's really demanding about solids too. Cries when he drops food, yells at me to shovel it in faster. It's like I'm starving him but I know I can't be based on how much I pump and how he gains!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: one session today was a lazy suck session / was tired and wanted to sleep. But otherwise he was chugging! It's suck swallow suck swallow suck swallow with no breaks and if it slows down he lets me know by smacking me in the chest / face and kicking his little legs!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@winniebee: Huh? Hugry boy!!! G is pretty demanding on solids too, I think she would eat a ton if I let her! She has even yelled as if to say feed me your food women not just this carrot paste...lol
pomelo / 5298 posts
@winniebee: growth spurt? K seems to be eating a little less this week than she had been last week. Two days this week she's come home with a full bottle from daycare and every day she hasn't finished her last bottle of the day. And she's eating less solids too.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@winniebee: I think J would eat every single time I offer. On the days that I'm working (so he doesn't nurse at all) he gets 6 bottles, but it's probably at least 7 when he's nursing.
eggplant / 11861 posts
Naps again are just awful she will be so tired and fight, and when I mean fight I'm talking clawing your face off if you even walk in her room
this is breaking my heart, my sweet girl that is just not good! I can't bring myself to let her CIO, but this isn't working either! Some days are fine some are awful can you tell what this morning is??
I can't tell her sleep ques either she will get tired afyer 1hr, sometimes 2 sometimes 3...
I try to put her down around same time if possible..
I'm thinking maybe trying 2-3-4 but her naps usually are short execpt for a fluke a few days ago!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@FaithFertility: I'm so sorry Some days are just SO hard. I wish I had some advice but J just cried for almost 30 minutes before falling asleep for his nap
I had to go outside and let DH handle it because he was obviously so exhausted but I just feel so horrible...
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: Hmm... I'm not sure. Xander usually had 30 oz when he would bottle feed for an entire day, so your numbers don't sound totally off. Unless he's actually eating a lot more at each feeding when he nurses.
Logan usually eats 6 times a day (7 on the weekends). During the week, he gets 15 oz at daycare and then nurses three other times. I'm not positive how much he's getting during those nursing sessions, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was around 5 oz. In the morning, he has one side and I pump the other and usually get 6-7 oz, so I imagine he's eating around 5 oz just from that one side. Then when I pump throughout the day, I usually get 4-6 oz, so I imagine that's how much he's getting when he nurses, if not more?
Although if Ryan is over-eating, that could explain some of the spit up!
