@MamaG: I can't get over the crawling/pulling up! G is not interested at all....lol but I know her personality she will act as if she can't then one day boom...lol
I can't believe they are getting soon big!
I truly hope the spit up greys better for you!
I had a friend over for a play date last week and her little guy spit up like 3x and she was like this is normal?!
I got very lucky on that end!
It looked like no fun

@Adira: woo-hoo to better naps We seem to be taking a turn for the better too although last night sucked
She just wanted her Mama I think....I finally pulled her in our bed at 5 and she rolled on her side and crashed until 8
P.S. your boys are stinking adorable love your IG photos!!

@FaithFertility: You're so sweet! I need to post to IG more often.
I can't believe our babies are 7-8 months already. Are people thinking of birthday parties yet??
pomelo / 5298 posts
@Adira: We won't be doing a big party. My mom is flying in and my sister will drive in (4+ hours away) and we will have cake at home with some balloons, but it will really just be a small family affair.
We are just now (at 4) doing an official party for C for the first time.
I also don't really enjoy playing hostess, so that factors in as well.

@MamaG: Haha! I see the pics! K is trying to pull up too! She can stand holding onto something for like 5 secs maybe. And she tries to "walk" to where the remotes are. Her memory is crazy.. She always knows where the things she wants are!
@Adira: Yes you do! Hehe
We'll def have a party, but stinks that it'll be winter and cold so it has to be indoors! Prob nothing fancy. So far I decided against cake smash haha; but I def want a photo session.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: I hear you. Xander's birthday is also in the winter, so I'm used to indoor parties, but it's definitely a bummer!

@Adira: Yes, my sister is actually getting married the day before G's b day at the courthouse so her and her fiance can fly out to Paris for an elopement/honeymoon so we had to plan the date for her party already....lol
What we will do I have NO clue!

Hmm..I hadn't even thought about a party yet. We'll probably just do something low-key since we'll be in a new city with maybe not many friends yet? It's the weekend before Thanksgiving, though, so possible that grandparents would come into town for it. We didn't do a "real" birthday party (although small) for K until this year when she turned 3.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: Oh neat! I don't think we'll do anything too fancy. Just good food and opening presents - no activities. But ours will be mostly just family with some friends.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: My bday is in Nov and the weather is the ONLY reason I don't like it!
@FaithFertility: As long as she is in the living room, she knows exactly where the remote caddy thing is and will crawl there and try to stand up to grab them! And on our bed, she knows where I put my phone, water bottle, etc! I don't know how she knows all the stuff, lol!!!

We did a large party for Bs first but after the MIl drama with Bs 3rd bday, I have 0 interest in doing a big party for D. We have 1 year photos set up already.

@MamaG: we still have spit up too. Definitely better but not gone. I'm gonna try me some dairy too soon!

I've been spending way too much time thinking about her birthday party. I think we're going to have a small party at our house. I was thinking of staging a hot chocolate bar on the carport since there's not that much room in the house. Although when I told all this to my husband he looked at me like I was crazy!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Miss Ariel: haha, my husband always thinks I'm crazy with party planning!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Miss Ariel: haha, he is probably like uh, it's July! We're probably just doing a small party at home too.

@winniebee: Sorry sleep has been so tough Sometimes the hardest times with babies are the things that would have been so much fun pre-kids!
We have a family party on Sunday and with naps, etc I'm sort of dreading it.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@Adira: @winniebee: J's spit up is better but definitely still spitting up every day. It's less frequent, but larger volume.
Today I was trying to get out of the house with both kids. I picked him up and he spit up a ton. His (clean) clothes were covered, my (clean and had just showered) clothes were covered. The kicker was that I was holding a spare pair of clean shorts and underwear for Molly so those were drenched as well and then *splat* the carpet was covered too. All in one fell swoop

@Adira: I hadn't really thought about birthday parties at all. Crazy! M's bday is at the end of September - she'll be 3 - and we usually do a BBQ for her. Not sure what we'll do for J. It's 2 days before Thanksgiving so it might be a little harder to get people together.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MrsF: Yeah, Logan's is right around Thanksgiving too AND my nephew's birthday is right around then too. Not sure how it will all work out.
Ugh, sucks about all the spit up.
pomelo / 5298 posts
@MrsF: I shouldn't laugh but I did. Sorry. I can count on it pretty much every morning. I've now started changing diapers BEFORE feeding so she doesn't have to lay down after feeding. But this morning, she decided to take care of business before we left for daycare, necessitating a second change. Grabbed her and headed downstairs. That little extra bump down the stairs gets her (and me) every single time!
The only good news is now that she's more on the move, she's pretty good about getting it everywhere else and less on her. Not so great for my carpet though!

@Adira: M's bday falls on Thanksgiving this year. We're planning on going to visit my family around then so we can have a little family get together to celebrate. Otherwise, I was going to let him do a smash cake & take lots of pics because I don't have many people here that'd I invite for a party.
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@Adira @AngelicOne: Ditto to bday being on Thanksgiving... I think I'll just do a cake as well and bring it to whichever family get-together we are at that day!
I'll buy Ethan's one-year photo shoot on black friday again. Got a good deal last year for his newborn shoot.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@MamaG: You can laugh! If we couldn't laugh at this stuff our days would seem pretty sad
@josina: That's a good idea on the black friday photo deal. Did you go through a big company or an individual?

I've been a little MIA, but have been following along! We were on the west coast visiting family last week. I was nervous about the flight and sleep, but H did so well on both flights!! Although the night flight was definitely harder for him, because it was his bedtime and he just got really overtired and overstimulated. Only a few minutes of hard crying, though; he slept most of the flight. And the day flight back was great!
Also, his sleep while we were in Seattle was better than here. haha. He had a 7.5 hr stretch, and it was glorious. Sadly, his sleep since we have been home has been a mess due to the time change. Yikes. Overall, a really great trip, though! I was expecting the worst.
He's soooo close to crawling. Still getting up on all fours, and is now scootching his knees up! So he's scootching forward, just needs to figure out the hands. He does crawl backwards, though. And he's been getting up on his hands and feet, too, like bear crawling. Starting to try to pull up on me and in the bath, too. Can't quite do it himself yet.
I don't think we will be doing anything big for his first bday party. Probably just invite the babies from our mom/babies group over or something.
We still have a little bit of spit up here too. It's so hard to burp him these days!! And yep, diaper changes can be challenging.
How is time going so quickly?!

I saw a clap tonight and it was so precious. C was standing next the crib and K was standing up inside. C was doing her evening serenade of rock a bye baby. K sat down (fell?) and started clapping while smiling at C. My heart exploded just a bit.
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@MrsF: Its through a small company, just 2 photographers. Last year I was able to schedule for 3 days after I bought it which was perfect.
@MamaG: aww, too cute!

@theotherstark: glad to hear the flight went well! We're flying next month and I'm fed nervous about how it will go.

So crazy these babies moving around, love the bear crawl analogy....lol

Anyone else with a babe not interested in crawling/pulling up? G acts like she wants to but then resorts right back to rolling.....lol

So Wednesday I had to leave work early. I woke up feeling dizzy/light headed but went to work and it just got worse all day. Then I was nauseated and the thought of all food made me want to vomit. I tried to fight it but eventually had to run to the bathroom annnnnd so everyone was asking me if I'm pregnant. Seeing as how I just had my period two weeks ago, I'm going to say it was the stomach bug. Yuck! I'm better today though!
I've been thinking about party planning too though and kind of have no idea what I'll do. My house is too small to have the party there though so I don't know yet!

@FaithFertility: Micah is more interested in rolling than crawling. haha sometimes he tries but then just gives up!

@BandDmommy: I go back and forth daily....lol But I would be thrilled if it happened, but 2 and 3 are HUGE differences I am sure! I know 1 and 2 are, well I think I know....lol

@FaithFertility: If we have a 3rd (big IF) we are going to aim for another 2.5 year age gap. B will be in school and D would be in preschool. I just started working again and LOVE it! Plus I'm finally getting my fat body back in shape. Pregnancy is sooo rough on my body.

@BandDmommy: I'm not crazy enough to start TTC just yet buuuuuuuut if it happened by accident... I'd be pretty happy. haha- even with my crappy sleep!
