@FaithFertility: how much are you feeding? I still nurse every 3 hours and then cluster feed right before bed. I give her 3 meals, 2 stage 2 and one stage 3 as well as puffs and yogurt melts.

@FaithFertility: it's usually 2 wakes - 12 and 4 so I feed since it's 4 or more hours since bed time. Last night I fed at all wakings but he barely drank.

@winniebee: I bet its new surroundings.. That was what darcy was doing last week.. It was killer

@banddmommy: @winniebee: i admire you guys being w/o DH! we'll use the term "vacation" very loosely
@adira: scary! but glad it was hives and not breathing troubles!
E has started saying her M's! here's hoping "mama" comes a little earlier in her word development than it did with K...who said Dada, Dog, Hi, Thank-you, Uh Oh, and Pizza before she said Mama. she clearly had her priorities straight. ha!

@BandDmommy: She nurses every 3 we do breakfast and dinner
And lunch if we are not out
Puffs she takes and last night she ate about 10 peas out of the shell
I think I need to do lunch daily!

@FaithFertility: I still nurse at every wake-up... he's pretty random lately, one night he'll only wake once, and the next he's up every 2 hours and I'm just too lazy to try anything else.
Ethan gets cereal in the morning, a fruit or veggie in the afternoon, and then fruits/veggies in the evening.

@winniebee: Yeah she usually has one and I feed
Last night she woke at 2 I fed her then again at 5
DH tried to rock her but she sucked his neck and protested so I went in to fed her

@Adira: so glad his reaction was mild.. must have been scary tho!
@mamag: I'm trying to find space to store all this stuff for #2! I wish I can just sell things off or give them away! I loaned my maternity clothes to my friend, but I'm afraid to loan certain baby things in case I don't get it back later haha!
@winniebee: I'm def not sleep training either. She is making some improvements and I have faith that one day she will STTN by herself! I hope you have a good time still! T looks like he's having the time of his life!
@josina: wow, he's sleeping so good even while sick!
@Miss Ariel: it really is so hard! I fought to be ebf till 6 mo and honestly my stress level with nursing def went down after i started supplementing with formula. now I'm just adamant about her getting at least half breast milk till hopefully 10 months, then some breast mill till a year or beyond! whatever you can do, you are already giving her so much!
@MrsF: aww i think it's hard for others to understand the connection between us and the baby sometimes! Like others, I'm pretty sure someome would have heard J if he was really that upset.
@faithfertility: she is really letting you know that she is ready and you don't need to worry There are nights I don't feed K at all till after 5am. Her issue is never hunger... B/c sometimes I'd nurse her and still need to hold/rock her. And I recently started giving her 6 oz of formula before bed, PLUS nursing... And it doesn't really affect her sleep one way or another. And she eats 3 meals plus snacks sometimes!
@BandDmommy: I really think it's just from being on vacation and maybe being so stimulated all day long! So not like D to not sleep!
@KayKay: pizza? haha!

@Adira: @BandDmommy: @FaithFertility: Glad to know M isn't alone. Did they have reactions the first time or after they'd had the fruits a few times?
@winniebee: Hope things calm down & you can enjoy the rest of your vacation.
@FaithFertility: I usually end up feeding M overnight if it's been at least 3 hrs since he last ate (only way to calm him sometimes). He doesn't seem to be too enthused about solids though

@AngelicOne: I don't remember Xander having any reaction the first few times he's had watermelon. It was just this summer that it started happening. He got a ton of watermelon juice on his face and neck and just broke out in hives from it! Now whenever he has watermelon, we just wipe it off his face as he's eating it instead of waiting until he's done. That seems to help a ton.

I think we are going to have a crawler soon! E started to get up on his knees this weekend and will rock back and forth... he was checking out my curio full of breakables - time to get a lock on it! He's also got reverse figured out in his walker and loves it, lol.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: he will before you know it! K figured it out so fast and now she's crawling everywhere and I really need to decide on which gate I'm buying asap!
K supposedly had some peanut butter on my mom's toast one day. We've given her squid and shrimp too, we're just banking on neither of us having allergies to anything!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: Fingers crossed!! Hubs and I don't have any food allergies, but I have seasonal allergies and had asthma as a kid, so that increased our kids chances of having allergies, unfortunately.

So b/c it's Monday, and I'm at work with a slight migraine that makes me nauseous, I decided to read through the our birth story thread, and I can't believe it's already been so long! It's weird... On one hand I feel like it was soo long ago but on the other hand I can still recall the details like it just happened!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: hahaha too funny I did this yesterday after I replied to a birth story!
It truly is crazy!
Also the word bitter sweet has never had so much meaning!
I can't believe how fast this goes......as much as I LOVE watching her grow, I miss my little baby....lol

@FaithFertility: I held a 2 mo old on Sunday.. K looked GIANT next to him! He was sooo soft, warm, and squishy... I was like.. I want!!! lol. I told DH I can't think about being pregnant again until I can get some better sleep first haha!

@snowjewelz: @FaithFertility: I was with a friend whose due date is next week and it's crazy because even though it hasn't been that long, I can barely remember what it felt like to be pregnant.

@snowjewelz: A year ago yesterday is when we announced we were having a boy! Time flies! I keep reminding myself to appreciate EVERYTHING, even the MOTN wake-ups (3x last night!) because they grow up so fast!
Yesterday E starting clapping! One more date to add to his baby book.

So G kinda STTTN last night
Bed at 7:45 woke at 11:00 then not again until 7...but I swear my dog has an alarm that only goes off when I'm getting good sleep...lol she was up walking the house to go outside at 3am..nuts!
On another note DH got papers yesterday to start day shift on the 24th Sooo excited!
Only took him 3 yrs with this department, but I k ow his partner helped from above

@josina: So cute! And so true. When my arm's sore and I just want to go back to sleep, I just try to savor this quiet moment and I think about how at some point she won't even fit into my arms like this anymore!
So the 4 hr wake time before bed is working out pretty well. But for now she still needs 3 naps; I just have to make sure her last naps ends by 5 the latest otherwise she'd be staying up past 9!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Slow progress, but I do see progress! So I have hope! Right now early morning is the worst. Between 5 to whenever she wakes up for the day, she seems to not be in a deep sleep and stirs a lot.
My friend mentioned that her DD used to wake up b/c she was uncomfortable from the full diaper... I'm gonna get some baby dry and see if that helps at all.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: makes sense....some mornings I even ask G why didn't you wake me because her diaper is so full

I'm so far behind on this thread! I've read everything but one overnight at work and I'm behind. Hope everyone's doing well!
@BandDmommy: Happy 8 months to D
@josina: Aaaw - clapping is the best!
@snowjewelz: Now I want to go back and read the birth stories again! I'll probably cry... I love watching all of these babies grow up!
@FaithFertility: That's wonderful news about your DH moving to days! I only work overnights occasionally, but I know how hard it is on me AND my family. So happy for you guys

I think Darcy knew yesterday was her 8 month birthday and wanted to celebrate. She woke up about 4 times but self soothed. It was a loooooong night.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@BandDmommy: She is soooooo cute!!! Bummer about the wake up though...
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@BandDmommy: hey, BUT self soothe is great!! Kara wakes up 2-4 times too but doesn't self soothe!
DH told me yesterday she pulled to stand for a lil bit. We STILL haven't decided on the gate situation. Arggh! So indecisive.

Is anyone else struggling with nursing sessions and diaper changes? D is sooo busy. I can barely feed or diaper her before she crawls away and starts cruising. Solids go fine because she's confined to high chair but nursing sessions are challenging....
