I went to book Darcy's birthday venue and it was already FULL. Cue freakout. Luckily I know the owner so she is slipping us in from 11 a.m - 12:45. Phew....

@BandDmommy: @MamaG: The thread I started gave me WAY too many ideas. I think I need to just pick one thing that's from us, and then the rest can be her wish list that grandparents, etc can get her.

@MamaG: I'm totally prepared for the worst and to brace myself for a really hard week sleep wise!

We totoaly slept in today until 8, yeah no nap this morning she is nuts
@snowjewelz: I think she will do great, it is an adjustment period, but they are smart and figure it out!
She will have so much fun I am sure!!!!
@BandDmommy: Ughhh 1st birthday! Glad you got the spot!!!!
Starting this weekend in our family there is at least 1 birthday/holiday/major event from now until January and I am not kidding, I really need to start planning

My poor sick kiddo totally skipped his morning nap and I just got a text from our sitter that he's refusing the afternoon nap too I feel terrible for both of them!

@BandDmommy: oh what a relief!
I already lined up two local business to do her outfit for photos, and another for decorations (I am just not crafty, at all). I really want to just have everything ordered In Oct! I don't want to spend a lot, so I really have to pick and choose what I want. We're just hosting a small party at our house and we're gonna do the UNoriginal winter onederland theme in pink/silver.

@winnibee: how's sleep training going?
@mrsf: feeling better yet?
it's friday, people!

@KayKay: Wee!
What's everyone up to? We have a family birthday dinner tomorrow night. And there is a fall festival at a fish hatchery so we plan to check it out
K has actually been a pretty good sleeper lately! I do remember waking up b/c I feel her moving around but she has pretty much put herself back to sleep! But she always wakes between 5-6 and need me to hold her and then she'll go another 1-2 hrs.

Friday!!!!!
DH bday is tomorrow No set plans yet, but definitely dinner I am sure! Maybe zoo Sunday!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Happy birthday to him! Zoo sounds fun! I'm thinking we gotta make a trip before it gets cold too!
So I officially weaned! Yesterday I came home and just decided that I'm not gonna pump anymore and I packed everything away AND I put on a real bra today
It doesn't really fit, but oh well, haha!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: Nice! I am stuck I think weaning will be OK, but I use it as a crutch if/when she wakes at night or to get her back down at an early wake.......
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Trust me if nursing to sleep works I'd keep it too haha! She doesn't even want the boob anymore so I'm packing them up! At night now she gets her bottle, then I let her crawl around the bed to try to settle herself and pat her, and then after like 10-15 min of it she's pretty tired so I just hold her for a while
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: That is good, G is getting good at putting herself to sleep too... can't say I don't let her fuss a bit, but she isn't crying just kind of yelping.....lol

@snowjewelz: we don't have any major plans! i'll be taking a friends daughter's photos for her 2 year photoshoot. that should be fun!

Yay for the weekend!
Tomorrow a friend is coming over with her 3 yr old + 1 yr old twins and we are going to attempt taking the painted-pumpkin-butt photos that I've seen on pinterest. Stay tuned on Instagram.
Tomorrow night DH is taking the kids to a fish-fry while I go to a winery for my sis's bday. Busy day.
@snowjewelz: Glad she is sleeping better. Happy with the decision to wean? I'm not ready yet, but at the same time it'd be nice for E to decide to be done; I think nursing really helps calm him down/get him ready for bed, so should be interesting when we quit!
@FaithFertility: Hope your DH has a great bday, zoo sounds fun!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: pumpkin butts?! LOL I want to see this! You know, I feel like I mourned and grieved enough so now I am really happy! It helps that she doesn't even want the boob so it's not like I'm forcing it to end early. Just not looking fwd to buying formula, that's all!

@KayKay: GOOD! Last night was night 2. He went down at 7:15 (I feed him with light on and if he's asleep, fine, if not, he goes in crib anyways). He woke at 12:15. Let him cry 5 mins...then did my check (shhh, paci, pick up and kiss) and he cried maybe 5 more mins? Then chatted to himself at 4 am....I didn't go in. He slept til 6:30. That's over 11 hours with no feeds! Second night in a row. Hopefully he stops waking for comfort soon now that he knows he's not gonna get the teat!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@snowjewelz: The night before was similar....cried at 12:30 but needed 2 checks....cried again for a few mins later in the night but then slept til 7!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: sleep training is going great then! I'm so glad more of us with the non-sleeping babies are all doing better. K for sure wakes but I see/feel her move around then put herself back to sleep so I'm very happy about that! Now she just needs to learn how to fall asleep!
pear / 1961 posts
@winnibee: that's awesome! is that more sleep than T ever does in one night?
E has been waking up for an early morning feed (somewhere between 4-5a) lately, but i think it's a growth spurt because she has been eating HUGE meals too. yesterday for breakfast, she ate 2 sausages, a whole scrambled egg, and some blueberries. and that was after two big nursing sessions at 430 and 630! it's not every night that it happens, so i think it's partially hunger and partially us living in a tiny house where i can hear every peep.
@snowjewelz: that is great! i'm so jealous that you have your body back i've started giving E a cup of WCM with breakfast since she has already nursed then & has solids too. she seemed to like it this morning! hopefully it makes our year-ish weaning go smoothly. we'll see.
we're running a trail race tomorrow and then going to a beer festival (with kids! ha) in the afternoon. sunday we might go to the pumpkin patch or apple orchard. i'm trying to think of something fun to do if the weather holds!

@winniebee: Awesome sleep. K was up talking/playing at about 4:30 this morning. Shush little one, sleep
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@KayKay: I'm definitely fine with a 4-5 am feed! It's the 12:30 feed that is just not OK! And Tyler was a 10 hour a night sleeper ALWAYS until 1 nap then he went to 10.5/11. Then he dropped his nap and usually sleeps 11 but sometimes it's 10.5.....so I welcome an 11+ hour night from Ryan any night!
