@winniebee: Poor kids
I think Jack has been sick in one way or another for 6 weeks.

I've been MIA....work is busy....kids are keeping us busy....a disaster sewage backup at the house over the weekend....and a baby that won't STTN. That's all!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: that does not sound good! I know it's been tough that R doesn't STTN
nectarine / 2210 posts
@snowjewelz: Sadly that wasn't the case here. Although it was early enough where both of us were still awake so I could care of K, while dh changed the crib. So far she's been fine today, although I have been nursing her more often but just one side at a time when we normally do two.

I spoke too soon! Daycare called that she threw up Picked her up and waiting for my mom to come and I will go back to work. They said she was so upset; she just have been so scared that she threw up awake and wasn't home

@winniebee: Yikes......... awful!
@snowjewelz: ohhhhh poor K I can imagine how scary that would be!!!!! Hope she is feeling better!
nectarine / 2210 posts
@FaithFertility: she was fine yesterday, so we're heading back to daycare today. Hopefully daycare doesn't call like they did to you @snowjewelz.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Miss Ariel: I hope not! I'm just hoping she doesn't throw up today so she can go back on Thurs!
Annnnnd now my mom contracted the virus and threw up all night And she's still helping me watch Kara all day today too. Somehow I've been spared all of this! I had some bad stomach pains and a slight fever yesterday but I feel totally ok now.

@snowjewelz: ugh, that sounds so rough!! Poor K Hope she is feeling better soon.

@snowjewelz: ohhhh no!!!! Are you still taking pre-natals?!?
Maybe that helps?
nectarine / 2210 posts
@snowjewelz: funny enough (aka not really) my MIL is sick as well! I probably would have had her watch K today, but instead sent her back to daycare.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: yeah, but I honestly am thankful I didn't get it full on already! I'm washing everything, gonna disinfect all her toys, gonna mop the floors again... ahh!
@Miss Ariel: hopefully she will be ok! I have not heard from mom so hopefully that means no throwing up!!

So what happens after 1, eating wise? I completely forgot to ask last time. Since I FF now, I'll just stop with it completely and replace it with WCM and let her have that with meals? She eats great (not now since she's sick), but I guess I always have a peace of mind knowing she's getting tons of nutrients from BM or formula...
honeydew / 7283 posts
@snowjewelz: M was FF and when she turned one I switched cold turkey from formula in bottles to whole milk in sippy cups. I was totally freaked out because her intake dropped so much. I think she only took 5 ounces the whole day. Our pedi wasn't concerned and just recommended I start her on a multivitamin and offer milk in cups with meals (3 meals and 1-2 snacks). She still doesn't drink much milk but I don't even think about it any more.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MrsF: K eats yogurt and cheese.. That counts too right? And did she eat a lot more solids? Or about the same? I'm thinking we're okay since I actually have to take food away usually in fear that she'd be too full for milk!
nectarine / 2053 posts
@snowjewelz: i'm nervous about that! right now he totally sucks at eating solids and i've been okay with it since he's still getting breastmilk, but i want to start weaning when he turns one, i just worry he won't eat anything!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@snowjewelz: @whenoceansrise: I think M just increased her solids slowly. Yogurt and cheese definitely count as dairy but you need extra vitamin D to absorb the calcium from them (store bought milk is vit D fortified) which is why she takes a multivitamin.

It's official. D is starting daycare 3 days a week when we get back from Disney World after Christmas. It makes sense with a new baby arriving in late March. I'll have lots of doctor appointments and it would be easier going by myself.

@BandDmommy: Awww I bet D will LOVE it!!!! She can show off all her cute outfits!!!
Hoepfully you can get some nesting done before DS arrives!

Apparently G was a handful today
Wants to crawl outside and when she shuts the slider pitches a fit....or wants to stand up on the kiddos chairs and all day....ohhh boy Ms.Independent latley!!!!

@FaithFertility: Baby tantrums are too cute! lol.
@BandDmommy: I'm sure she will love having other kids to play with! Harder for you of course!

@faithfertility: ha!
i forgot how much i love this stage, where they are basically little cavemen. e doesn't have many words yet, but it's hilarious to see her communicate (albeit inefficiently) through looks, grunts, and hollers. her favorite (least favorite?) game lately is to stand in front of the open toy box that she can't reach into and yell to let you know she needs something. clearly i have no idea which she wants, so i either get everything out (oy) or go one at a time and see if she does the stare-and-holler again.

@winniebee: Hope the sewage situation gets cleared up, financial aspect and all!
@Miss Ariel: @snowjewelz: (and anyone I missed) Are the babies doing better?
I am pretty stoked that we have been ear-infection free for over 2 months now. I'm wondering if we should even keep the ENT appt? (November 20th?)
Any exciting weekend plans?
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: Horray! That's a great stretch of no ear infections! K is doing better; still have diarrhea but we're seeing improvements day to day. Dr said it takes almost a week to completely clear so we're getting there! I had been going crazy at one sanitizing and washing everything!
We're gonna hit another pumpkin patch but otherwise take it easy!
nectarine / 2210 posts
@josina: K's been feeling better as well. She didn't eat very much yesterday so in guessing she may feel a little off, but she hasn't been sick yet. As for the weekend we were planning on going to Boo at the Zoo, where kids where their costumes at the zoo, although dh wasn't feeling well last night, so we'll see if he's up for it.
nectarine / 2210 posts
@KayKay: yes to this! K will take all of her toys out that she can reach and then scream at us to get the last few in the bottom she can't pull out.

@josina: Great news on the ear infections!!! Praying it continues!
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@josina: good news!! Hope it continues.
@KayKay: I love this age!! H is so fun - so much exploring, starting to communicate more, following commands/responding to things I'm saying, interacting more with books and on walks. So crazy how far they've come in less than a year!! Can't believe birthdays are coming up so quickly.

@josina: Yay for being ear infection free for 2 months.
I'm celebrating my birthday (a day early because we'll be traveling on Monday which is the actual day) and I'm packing this weekend so we can head to MN on Monday for my FIL's service on Wednesday.
