Baaah so over winter illnesses! K's cold isn't TOO bad. Just really congested, runny nose, coughing. And of course our humidifier decided to die so I gotta get a new one asap.
Surprisingly her sleep is still pretty good. She's just up early though and can't fall back asleep and gets legit angry!
I know many, many of you are dealing with one thing or another too... Hugs all around today

Sorry for the sick kiddos. R's stomach bug seems to have been a 48 hour thing. He hasn't had any bad diapers today....just not all that hungry.

So sorry for all the sickness ladies! I've been absent as both kids have had fevers and general misery
Between that and my night shifts I feel like a zombie... bleh.

@snowjewelz: I don't really work many nights - I shouldn't complain! Just bad timing this week with the sick kids!

@FaithFertility: Thank goodness! And daylight savings time change is only 6 weeks away
And poor G! Those molars are terrible
@whenoceansrise: That's so nice! We've had a few warm days in the 50s I bet M had a blast! I'm really looking forward to J being upright when we can get to the parks in the spring.

Talked to D's teacher yesterday and she was amazed at her social skills. There's a new baby in her class, 10 months old, and D went over sat next to her, patted her head and said "baby" and gave her hug. I think she's ready to be a big sister after all.

@winniebee: Oh no. Hope YOU don't catch it either!

@winniebee: Oh no! Glad that R seems a bit better but it's so tough when the parents start getting sick.
@BandDmommy: How sweet! She'll be a great big sister
@whenoceansrise: Oh that's too cute!

We are quite the exciting bunch here! So many sickies. My kids seem to be about baseline winter healthy at the moment (constantly runny noses but no fever or cough or anything worrisome/keeping them home), but I am on Day 11 of the crud. I feel just bad enough that it's annoying, but not so bad that I'm laid up on the couch.
On the plus side, I realized last night as we were leaving gymnastics at 5p that it was still very light out! It may still be winter, but we made it through the feels-like-it-gets-dark-at-3pm phase. Woo!
Anyone doing anything fun this weekend? We are going to look at houses on Saturday, and then the normal church/nap/swim lesson grind on Sunday
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@FaithFertility: Enjoy the girls night and try not to feel guilty, although I imagine I would be the same.
@KayKay: YES! So glad I can at least drive home in daylight yet! Enjoy house hunting!
Taxes tomorrow, fun, and probably Super Bowl party Sunday although I'll be home early. Really wish they'd move the Super Bowl to a Saturday!
E got his first bloody nose last night! Biffed it in the hallway and must've face-planted, poor guy. Not much I could do for a wiggly toddler, but we were headed to the bathtub anyways, and it stopped on its own pretty quickly.

@josina: whoa totally forgot about the super bowl! Clearly we have no plans other than to watch at home. Ha!

Our plans, we are participating in a roving dinner on Saturday night and Sunday Brennan has a bday party.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@KayKay: The baseline winter health. HA! Fun re: houses!!
This weekend, we are headed to my parents to celebrate my mom's bday. We took this week off sorta, but my husband and I are both working today. Tomorrow, we're getting some errands done and will head to my parents in the afternoon. If my husband is feeling better, go out for dinner tomorrow night with free babysitters. Saturday hopefully take T skiing in the morning if the weather cooperates and then cook for my mom Saturday afternoon. My siblings and the cousins will be home too!

@FaithFertility: Aw - poor G Try to go to your girls' night if you can! You can't take good care of G if you don't take care of yourself
@KayKay: Sorry for the sickness I feel like this is the winter of the perpetual cold for the whole family. It's the worst! You're right about the sunlight though - so exciting!
@josina: Oh no! Glad the bloody nose stopped quickly. J's had the bloody lips but no nose yet.
@winniebee: Sounds like a fun weekend! Hope you're all feeling better.

Not very exciting plans for us. DH has grad classes on Saturdays so it kind of feels like any other day My sister wants to come down and meet me and the kids for lunch out somewhere. It will be nice to see her but thinking about shlepping 2 kids out to lunch by myself (even if she's meeting us) makes me a little tired.
Sunday we'll have BIL & SIL here for the superbowl. Still have to plan a menu!

RSV over here! I was home with her yesterday since she had a fever. Spiked up to 102 last night. She slept from 7pm-7am... Took her to the dr today and confirmed RSV. Used the nebulizer at the dr's office but it didn't do much. I def have it too but really just a cold for me. I feel so so bad DH is home with her now and my mom will come over later.
We're supposed to be celebrating Chinese New Year this weekend, so we have to see if she gets visibly better.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@whenoceansrise: Glad to hear you're enjoying M so much They are just so cute and so fun and surprise you every day!!
@FaithFertility: I don't know K isn't really affected by teething@ I see her molars poking through and they look painful to me! But I guess teething is nothing compared to being sick all the time
Go! Daddy will be able to comfort her. There will never be a good time (trust me... K is sick like, ALL the time), so just try to get out of the house and relax a bit so you have more patience to deal with your sick family!
@KayKay: Yes I totally noticed on Monday when I left work too! Summer cannot come fast enough!
@josina: Aww! Good that it stopped!
@winniebee: Love all your skiing pictures! Love seeing T at it!
pomelo / 5298 posts
@snowjewelz: RSV is worst typically on day 3 (if I recall), hopefully your doctor warned you that it typically gets worse before it gets better. Since the nebulizer didn't seem to help at the office, what are they suggesting for home care?
Fortunately when K had it last year she did respond to the nebulizer so we did it at home every 4 hours. It at least made me feel like I had some control and could do something to help her. I don't like the helpless feeling.
pomelo / 5298 posts
@FaithFertility: seal like? Do you think she has croup? We've never had it, but I always hear that it's seal like barking/coughing. Hope she gets better and have fun tonight.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: I think she's over her worse then; today is either day 3 or 4 depending on when you start counting. Make sense since last night was her highest of fevers. He said if she's had it since Sunday/Monday, she should start to get better by end of the week. He said to just do what we're doing - humidifier, we're giving her zarbee's natural honey stuff, and he told us to try to pat her back to help loosen the mucus.
The nebulizer actually made her wheeze more! He said it almost acts like caffeine and makes her breathe. Plus she refuse to wear the mask so we could only blast thing mist into her face lol.

We are the start of week 4 of coughing for K. It seems to come and go as to severity but it has never left her. She's also got a snotty nose but she seems to be mostly tolerating it. That's our current norm. I'm just chugging along trying to get to spring.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Well, fuck. I had some lab work done because of the chemical pregnancies I've had and apparently I have low AMH, which is low egg quantity, but can apparently also be linked to low egg quality. I meet with my doctor in a few weeks. Maybe we won't be having a 3rd baby after all.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: ugh, I feel ya. chugging along...
@winniebee: I hope mtg with ob will give you more clarity as to what's going on.
