We are covered in snow today here today too. Ugh!!!
Ryan's sick, had a little fever yesterday sooooo crabby! Just a cold you would think he had the plague he was so unhappy!
Still on 2 naps here....seems he just can't do 1. Oh well.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: Xander didn't transition to one nap until closer to 18 months, so it makes sense to me that Ryan (who's also a peanut) wouldn't be there yet either. Hopefully soon! Sorry to hear that he's sick. Logan has a cold too, but luckily it doesn't seem to be bothering him much.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: Eh. don't worry about it! He'll transition when it's time, at least he will be on 1 nap before the baby comes!
Kara's nose has been constantly dripping but nothing else... Oh spring.. Where are youuuuu

@snowjewelz: @FaithFertility: Ditto.
Ethan is teething like crazy... the Drool!! He is soaking his shirts so I got out the bibs yesterday!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Adira: you think it's related to size? Tyler was much smaller than Ryan even, and he transitioned at 14-15m! Hope Logan feels better soon!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: Molars! K had a week straight when she was like that! She had never drooled that much at all! They might have been the bottom molars that's causing so much drool.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: I thought it might be size related - Logan's bigger (weight-wise) than Xander was and he transitioned to one nap sooner. But since you've had the opposite experience, it's obviously not related to size!!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Adira: LOL. I think R just has higher sleep needs. It also seems that every time we are about to transition or trying to transition, he gets sick and then DEFINITELY needs 2 naps.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@winniebee: I would take 2 naps over this 1 45-hr or crap car nap these days, but it brings great night sleep soooo I guess I shouldn't complain either....lol
Hope he is feeling better!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: we absolutely had to avoid the car during / around the transition to one nap. Even a 5 minute car nap and T wouldn't nap the rest of the day. My kids don't transfer!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@winniebee: I know, it's so hard
I've definitely stayed in the drive way a few times
My BF daughter is like/was a unicorn child with naps and sleep I remember us going to beach with her around 1 from like 9-12 she would fall asleep in car we would go back to her house she would transfer her to crib np and she would sleep for like 2 more hrs and we would lay out
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: most of my friends have kids who will transfer! They do at bedtime, just not for naps!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@winniebee: Yeah I've done it for bed a few times, ohhh well could be worse right?!

I got E from the car to the crib last Saturday night... BUT he needed a diaper change b/c I knew he wouldn't make it overnight. I actually was THIS CLOSE to getting his diaper changed while still sleeping, but then he woke up and threw a major fit.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@josina: The worst...lol Last time we were out and I knew it would lead to bedtime I changed her into her pajamas and all in car before we left
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@FaithFertility: I know, so my bad b/c I had pajamas with us but didn't think to change him before we left!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@josina: It's those diapers that get us everytime, lately we arrive to our destination and I go to get her out of the car seat and I smell that smell
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: I once had friends bathed their DD at our house and then changed into PJs to be ready for bedtime lol. But she threw a huge fit b/c it was a strange bath!

So K got her first sunburn this weekend. we had gone to dh's baseball game and it was so cold and windy out. But apparently still sunny and both K and I have burns on our nose and cheeks. It isn't too bad, but still... I didn't even think about putting sunscreen on.
nectarine / 2210 posts
Unless K is really, really tired she won't transfer either. She's also started fighting taking naps on her own in her crib and would rather sleep on the couch. Although it makes sense since at daycare she naps is a room with her classmates and teachers. They did actually move her to a cot for naps this week and said she's been fine with it.

@Miss Ariel: How are you feeling?!
All G wants to do is jump on our couch...lol
These crazy kids!

I've never been able to transfer a child from a convertible carseat without waking them up. This weekend K fell asleep coming home from the store at lunch time. She probably slept about 15 minutes in the car. Got her out, fed her and put her in bed. And she also had parents night out. We picked her up at about 10:30, she woke up and got home and put her in her crib and she went back to sleep.
We are having the "problem" that she wakes up and plays silently in her crib. I never know when she wakes up anymore.
nectarine / 2210 posts
@FaithFertility: so tired! As soon as I put K to sleep basically the only thing I want to do the rest of the night is lay down on the couch. How are you feeling lately?
eggplant / 11861 posts
@MamaG: I wish we had that problem she still scream cries when ever she wakes

@FaithFertility: The car nap is my worst enemy! I will do *anything* to keep J awake and avoid a car nap. I'm getting pretty good at it by the second kid. If we're leaving a family member or close friend's house and it's bedtime and a decent drive I definitely do baths and PJs at their house. That's the only time of the day that I can transfer a sleeping child. Never for naps. At my SIL's house we rotate all 6 kids through the tub together. It's pretty hilarious

@Miss Ariel: @FaithFertility: @winniebee: You girls must be so exhausted! Some moments I'm feeling like we're ready to think about #3 and then I think about morning sickness and first trimester exhaustion. I don't know how I"m going to do it again!
I hope the weeks are flying by for you!
(did I miss any pregnant people?)

I doubt that, so funny how I think some forget

We had to do a bedtime transfer Saturday night. I was in a wedding, so we didn't leave until about 9pm (his bedtime is 7:30pm), so I changed him & put PJ's on before we left. He woke for a minute, but fell right back to sleep.
@josina: @winniebee: @snowjewelz: Brrr & yuck! The high is 90 here today! We'll probably go out and play after I run some errands later, once it's cooled off.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: My mom has no memory or recollection about me or my sister's babyhood, haha!
@AngelicOne: 90!! I don't think i remember what heat feels like, lol!
I'm gonna start tracking ovulation next month to prepare for TTC! So at least I feel like I get to do something instead of just having baby fever!
nectarine / 2053 posts
@snowjewelz: I took a pregnancy test today because I'm on CD 38 and my averages ar 32-33. BFN, and I was surprised that I was a little bummed about it. I'm not ready to start TTC right now though, but maybe soon. Also, I've been using the Clue app to track ovulation and it's kind of neat!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@whenoceansrise: I totally get that feeling! We totally don't even prevent but I just kinda avoid O week... But I'm always a little sad when AF comes! I'm gonna check out Clue! I've been using Ovia but I just NEED to know when for sure so we can just jump right into it later!

What's everyone's Easter/Weekend plans? Thinking about taking E to see the Easter Bunny Saturday although he'll probably be scared of him. Church and Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday - going to be cold and rainy though.

@whenoceansrise: awww I was like that a few months leading to my BFP, AF would come and I would be so bummed! Then I got a BFP ad was like OMG WTH?!?!?! lol
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: DH will be going to Good Friday service but K and I will stay home. We have people over for a mtg Sat morning, and everyone's staying after to celebrate DH's bday. Sunday we have Easter Service at church, then Easter brunch at friend's house.
