@FaithFertility: K loves Cheerios too. She wanted to feed them to me this morning and they were actually pretty stale, but she didn't have a problem with them.

Happy Easter!
Driving back, we had an ABSOLUTE blast! G is a nut LOVED the hotel/pool saying hi to everyone wanting to share her toys with all the kids at the pool, give hugs to anyone she sees, it was hilarious!
Driving home to spend some time with family!
Hope everyone enjoys their day!

@FaithFertility: Cheerio addict here too. DH made the mistake of giving him lucky charms one morning... WHAT A MESS, ha ha. He takes them all out of his bowl/snack cup and only eats the marshmallows. Then threw a temper tantrum on the floor when I wouldn't give him anymore. Couldn't help but laugh.
So cute to G saying hi/giving hugs to everyone, glad it was a good trip!

@FaithFertility: Glad you had a good trip!
Had a great weekend! We were so busy but K was such a champ through it all! Yesterday we were at church, then went to brunch @ friend's house, then went straight to SIL's house till after dinner. She only napped for like an hour on me but did so great so I'm happy!
Today's DH bday so I asked my mom to babysit and we'll go out to dinner.. Haven't had a date night in SO long!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and a great Easter! Micah had so much fun hunting easter eggs and I was super surprised at how quickly he figured it out. He filled up his whole basket!
Also, wanted to update you ladies that after a 41 day cycle, AF finally decided to show up. I was actually pretty relieved.

Hope you all had a nice Easter! Ours was busy, but a lot of fun!
Ryan I think is the only toddler who doesn't like Cheerios. I don't get it!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@whenoceansrise: phew! hope the next one is not this long!
For some strange reason I don't have cheerio's around... But K will eat anything...

@winniebee: K is hit or miss on cheerios. Most days she's not really a huge fan. Like this morning they were serving them for b-fast at daycare. She dove into the blueberries first.

We survived the weekend. It started with K getting carsick before we really made much progress. We have an Easter curse. Someone always ends up sick. Both of the girls had a good time with more family around. Sleep was all sorts of a mess for both of them. K has a pretty good cough right now, which I hope passes quickly now that we can get back to a more normal routine for a few weeks.
This morning was rough, we were all unorganized and the big kid got her first tardy of the school year. She missed the bell by about 15 seconds. She was in the school on her way to her classroom when the bell sounded. Poor kiddo. More like poor me, I felt more bad about it than she did, I'm certain.

Just hosted a "coffee connection" for my moms club this morning (moms snack and chat and kids snack and play). Ended up being 15 moms and 22 kids! So much fun and the kids are definitely sleepy for naps

@FaithFertility: Yup. Usually these things end up being smaller groups but it was a popular day! My house isn't small but I wouldn't call it big so it was a little crazy.

@MrsF: How fun, I am hoping to do a lot of that this summer set up our back yard, water table, kiddie pool..etc and have Mama's lay out and kiddos play!

Another weekend is almost upon us. I looked at the calendar for April and May and we have a lot of stuff coming up. I was really hoping for a quiet April, but it's not happening.
Tonight, C has her first performance. The K and Pre-K kiddos are doing a "mini musical", I am so excited for her. She's been practicing for so long she's tired of practicing. I just hope she performs well in front of an audience and doesn't freeze up. She knows the music so well and has a solo and group speaking part. K is a fan of the music too, so I hope she's a good spectator. It's at 6:00 so, the little bit will be HUNGRY!
Anyone doing something fun this weekend?
C has a b-day party on Saturday but I'm inclined to skip it, we just have so much to get done around the house.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@MamaG: Hope C did great, and K enjoyed it!!!!
It's a me and G weekend, DH works so we will probably hang out outside (her favorite place) maybe hit up the fountain park or something!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@MamaG: How was the mini-musical? I hope C did well!
Nothing planned for the weekend, just hoping the 63° temps on Sunday are a reality.. It's been cold/rainy all week. Bring on spring!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: Hope it went well; you must be so proud of her! I'm sure she did great!
K's cousin's having his 3rd bday party tomorrow, so it will be something fun to do despite raining all weekend

What hours are the toddlers sleeping? I've finally switched Ryan to one nap. He's been sleeping 730-630 overnight and then a two hour nap from 1245-245. I'm hoping that nap gets a little bit longer as he was sleeping closer to 13.5-14 hours overall before we switched. That or hopefully I can put him down a little earlier for the night and have him still sleep til 630.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@winniebee:
We are on weekend 3 of 1 nap she sleeps 7:30/6-7 I still have at least once a week with a MOTN wake or a 5 a.m. wake?!?!? Can't figure that out other than I totally give in and either rock her or in our bed she goes I just need sleep!
Her nap absolute crap an hr tops
But she is happy as can be all day so I guess it is what it is!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: we have had some 430/5 am molar teething wakes. I give Motrin and a bottle and he will go back down usually until 7. I have no advice on short naps. T was 1.5 hours tops!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@winniebee: Yeah, I give Motrin MOTN or if it is 5 she will pass out in our bed until 7/7:30
Yeah, I think that is her, she is a light sleeper and doesn't need tons, as tired as I am these days if she is happy, what more can I do?!
pomelo / 5298 posts
@winniebee: K goes to bed around 7:30 and we get her from bed at 7:00 during the week. At daycare her nap has been pretty consistent at 1.5 hours. She has a classmate that's waking her up. At home she naps for at least 2 hours.
She's often awake earlier, but will play and be up and down in her crib. We leave her in there as long as possible.
