Back from spring break (at my parents'...with cold/snow...)!
E is sleeping 7p-630a, give or take. And napping 1-3, with an occasional long one (til 330 or 4). I think we have teeth til 2 year molars, but hoping to sneak past the 18mo sleep regression with minimal issues, too! We will see...

M has been sleeping 7:30pm - 7:30am since he turned one. Lately though, he's been waking anywhere between 6:30am - 7:30am, but I think that's because of his molars popping through finally. He's still taking 30-45 min naps twice a day usually. (2 weeks ago, he was taking a 45 min morning nap & 2 hr afternoon one....I want those back! LOL)

Ah, I haven't been on here in forever!! Things have been just nuts with our move, vacation, then actually getting to the Bay Area. Sheesh!!
With all the craziness, H's sleep has totally gone to crap. He's also going through some insane mommy-preference, so that, combined with horrible sleep, makes me a walking zombie. And his sleep has always been pretty bad, so that should tell you something
Come on, kiddo!!
Anyway, just trying to get settled here, and start finding good places to go to the playground, meet new moms and kiddos, etc. etc.
Hope everyone is doing well!!

@AngelicOne: ohhh yes those molars are awful!
@theotherstark: I'm sure it is a combo of new place new house, and the age!
G will ask for me 1,000 times if I leave or leave the room
"Where's Mama"
But, does the same with DH......
They love their parents

@winniebee: Logan is in bed by 7:30 and wakes up around 7:00. Nap is 12:00-2:00 (or 12:30-2:30).

Typically asleep by 7:30 (sometimes earlier/later depending on nap), wakes between 6-6:30 (again wake up depending on bed time, haha).
Naps at daycare are very consistent; hour and a half to two. At home mostly it's consistent too but lately she's been waking around an hour mark and needed to be put back down for some reason. But that's just been happening last week.
Super duper duper mommy preference for sure still (she never preferrs daddy even tho he spends more time with her!) Every morning as soon as I leave her sight it's "maaaamaa???" then she knows that I'm in the bathroom getting ready so she comes to find me
My body is so sore from every weekend b/c she naps on me if we're out and only wants me to hold her lol!
eggplant / 11861 posts
G is getting her shots today DH is taking her, I am.glad I am not there as I hate shots, but I am sad I can't hold her after....ughh Mom struggles!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Aww!! I'm sooo bad at holding her cause I don't like needles haha. It was hard holding her when she needed blood taken
Btw I think DH just solved our nap mystery of waking up mid-way. I think she's finally ready to go down at 11:30 vs 11! Woohoo.

@FaithFertility: Aww poor G! Hope her appt goes well.
@snowjewelz: WTG DH! I think I need to bite the bullet & start getting M on a 1 nap schedule. I'd love 2 hr naps everyday.
I'm not talking about sleep anymore! M decided 5:53am was a good time to start stirring & fussing this morning. Momma is tired!

@AngelicOne: My motto is just never take anything as the norm regarding sleep, haha!

@AngelicOne: Mine is on one nap and it is not 2 hrs 1 hr tops beware...lol

Omg we almost had a huge fall G got on the couch I was sitting on it too but she stood up and before I could say anything ran full speed to the arm of sectional and over she went
I literally grabbed her ankle aas she went over and she hung upside down, my heart was in my feet, I wanted to kiss and kill her at the same time

J is sleeping 7:45 to about 6:30 with a 2 hour-ish nap mid-day. Of course he started another cold last night so DH and I were taking turns holding him upright in the chair so that he could breathe and he hardly napped today

@theotherstark: Nice to see you here! I hope you all settle in quickly and that good sleep follows

@FaithFertility: Oh that's so scary. So glad that you caught her! It's amazing how quickly these kids can move!
J is climbing everything lately and I'm trying so hard to keep him safe but you can only do so much! I've been letting him stand in M's kitchen tower sometimes when I can watch him closely. Last week I turned for a second and he fell backwards straight on the back of his head on our hard tile floor . He had an enormous egg on his head and I was so scared. My friends (helps to have a lot of ICU staff in my life) convinced me that he didn't need a CT, but I still woke him up twice over night to check on him. It was such a bad fall and I was standing right there. I still feel terrible.

@MrsF: Yes, she is a climbing machine! So glad J is OK, G has had a few eggs that I was "right" there
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: Yikes, scary!!! But don't worry - these kids have hard heads. Xander has toppled off a chair in the kitchen onto the tile floor multiple times. So I know they are durable. Also, FAST reflexes!!! I'm so impressed you caught her!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Not that this will be impressive to anyone because I'm sure Logan's the last hold out in this arena, but he's finally eating REAL FOOD! He's been eating crackers (and french fries) here and there, but over the weekend, he finally relented and actually ate MEAT!
Now if I can just get him to eat some vegetables...

@Adira: I can't believe I got her.....lol literally at the last second:silly:

@Adira: Awesome! I am sure once he gets a taste he will enjoy!!!!

@adira: nice! i can't believe he's held out this long! silly boy.
@faithfertility: @mrsf: E is a crazy little climber, too. we had to get the high chair tray back out (we just pull her up to the table for meals) just to keep her from climbing up and standing in it over and over.
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@FaithFertility: Good catch! Ethan is such a climber too... he takes his little rocker, positions it just so, and hurls it backwards so he can get onto the couch. Luckily he actually makes it everytime!
@MrsF: Oh no, that would be awful, yay for having good friends to reassure you! How scary.
@Adira: Yay for real food! Hopefully he realized what he's been missing out on and keeps it up!
E did NOT want to sleep last night, up at 2:30 until 3:30, back to his crib for an hour, and then he was up again from 4:30 on for no reason other than he wanted to be up. He got to daycare, ate his banana, and grabbed his blanket and went straight to bed! Wish I could join.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: K fell down 5 steps of stairs before.. I was a wreck She recently got a huge bruise right in the middle of her forehead that everyone had to ask about, ugh. Then last night she slammed something down her hands and her poor finger was scraped and swollen.
@Adira: Go Logan! Yeah, it's hard for us to get veggies in too! She does like veggies but I realized that we don't even make/eat enough veggies (or eat veggies appropriate for her too)
@josina: Oh how wonderful. Chug that coffee today!!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@Adira: That's so great! Veggies are tough for J too.
@KayKay: Yeah - we definitely can't take the high chair tray off over here either... J's favorite trick is standing up and turning around in the shopping cart with the belt still clipped. I take my hand off of him for a second and he's climbing into the back. Yeesh.

I've started this week trying to wean M off his morning breastfeeding sessions. It's been going pretty smoothly so far. I am not looking forward to weaning the before bed feeds though!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@whenoceansrise: Aww!! Treasure these last moments! And good job weaning breakfast!

@whenoceansrise: glad it is going well, I thought the before bed one she would freak but she did great!

@snowjewelz: @FaithFertility: it's going a lot smoother than I thought it would!

Slow news week, so I'll throw in mine -- BFP this past weekend! Was totally not expecting it, just happened to test an HCG wondfo while doing an OPK one since I had had 2 positive OPK days in a row (and not like...almost positive...they were both VERY positive). Figured I was going to waste the HCG one, but whatever ---- and then it was positive!! Looking at my tracking, I think I'm a bit over 5w along so due early Dec. Shock has worn off, but I always have a bit of trouble being confident it will stick (even though I've never mc or anything)...so here we go, I guess! Dating u/s later this month.
Other than that, just living with a climbing cavewoman

@whenoceansrise: E's before-bed nursing was the last to go too, and it ended up being really easy just swapping a sippy of milk for nursing. Good luck!
@KayKay: Congrats!!

@whenoceansrise: good luck! I thought weaning before bed would be so hard but Ryan was totally fine when we weaned!

@josina: G had a night like E I really think it's teeth related as as is tired and I can tell wants to slepp but is clingy and whimpers, hope his sleep has been better!
