Happy Monday! The weather is finally AMAZING here and I am stuck at work We were out this whole weekend playing and I am EXHAUSTED. How am I supposed to run after TWO kids later on?!
And we have problem... Kara has huge feet!! She still fits great in 18 months clothes, but her feet are 5.5-6, so they're pretty big for her size I feel like! And her feet are also kinda wide (tho she fits in her M sneakers). PLUS the killer is her feet is THICK! I can't squeeze them into any shoes that don't open up!
So now, none of her feety PJs fit now for her feet and I'm scrambling to order all footless ones and 2 pieces now!

@snowjewelz: Its soo nice here today too, but luckily was all weekend (high 70's/low 80's). Ethan had tons of fun and DH installed a gate on a deck for me so now Ethan can be outside yet while I'm in the kitchen. What a life-saver.
Ethan is in size 4's yet and moving to 5's. His cousin who is a few months older is in 7's already.
Luckily with the weather being nice our 18 month shorts are going to get worn before he out-grows them.

K is wearing anything from a 5-6 in shoes. She's got a 5, 5.5 and 6 in her current rotation. She's got some really chunky feet too which makes life challenging.

@MamaG: Exactly!!! But at least her feet match her size! Kara is still mostly in 18m clothes so I feel like her feet aren't proportional!

I sing to G You are my Sunshine or Twinkle Twinkle before bed , she would sing you are my sunshine with me so I switched to Twinkle Twinkle
Now if I sing Twinkle Twinkle she will finish each phrase...
Ex: Up above the world so..... G says High!
It is the cutest thing ever but also keeps her from getting drowsy....lol
On to song #3...lol

@snowjewelz: We had a gorgeous day here too - and a holiday in mass for patriots day (marathon monday). We took the kids to a great new playground in the morning and then spent the afternoon outside at our house.
J is wearing size 5 shoes, but he definitely has that chub on the top of his feet that makes them hard to squeeze into most shoes! That's too funny about K's PJs though - I never thought about that as an issue! Luckily it's getting warmer and footless PJs will probably work.
@josina: Glad you've had nice weather too. Those pictures were great!

@FaithFertility: Oh that's adorable So many of your stories about her make me remember M at that age. I used to love that little voice finishing the song lyrics
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: super cute! K requests songs and she gets annoyed if I sing the wrong one. Like.. There are multiple songs about kitties and bunnies (nunny in her vocab), how do I know which one?!

@snowjewelz: M still has chunky feet too. He's wearing 5's right now (though at Stride Rite he measured as 5.5W).
@FaithFertility: Super cute that she sings!
M has taken to arguing with us.... if we say no, he says yeah, then laughs. LOL

Something is up. Ryan cried 2x overnight (I rubbed his back once) and he was up FOR the DAY at 445. I shit you not! He has his molars. Canines?! Torture?!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@winniebee: sorry! Molars and canines I swear they align when G had an off night!

@MrsF: @FaithFertility: Thanks!
@FaithFertility: And love that she sings with you, soooo adorable!
@AngelicOne: Lol. Too funny.
@winniebee: Oh no, sorry! I've had a night like that, NOT fun. Torture for sure.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: Kara was up at like 5:30 too! I guess I should see if canines are the culprit, since she can't be getting 2 yr molars?!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@snowjewelz: 530 is early too. Ryas been waking pretty early the past few weeks. I am OVER IT.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: I'm just really hoping they're not going out for buggy ride again causing her to fall asleep early lol!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@snowjewelz: Ryan had to have a nap at 9. No way could he make it until 12.

@FaithFertility: Aww, that's so sweet! M still doesn't say very many words!
@winniebee: Oh, man! Drink all the coffee today!

We are starting our language explosion. K is starting to try to mimic a lot of words. They only make sense to us in context of what we just said to her, but she's really trying.
She's trying to sing along to a lot of songs these days too (ABC's, Wheels on the bus, Row Row your Boat, Twinkle Twinkle, Rock a Bye and some of her school songs).
Her new physical achievements - jumping (WHAT!), climbing up on the couch and climbing on to our dining room chairs. She's desperately trying to get into the bathtub by herself too.
We still haven't fully lowered her crib and probably should with the recent climbing she's been doing.
She hit 17 months yesterday - next stop 1.5 years old!

@mamag: that's awesome! i was just wondering the other day when E will go through her first one. i can't remember when K had her first one (i think 20ish months), but i remember that about 2 weeks before she turned 2, she went to full sentences overnight. it totally corresponded with moving up a room at daycare -- just needed incentive from the "older" kids, I guess!
