@josina: M likes brushing his teeth but when he's done, he'll chew on the brush to get me to stop. LOL Also, he had fluoride put on his teeth at his 18 mo appt with the ped, so hope he's okay for a bit because I forgot to ask when the dentist should be added.
@KayKay: M has to be distracted for me to cut his nails....you tube videos usually. He holds out 1 finger to clip over & over. LOL

Ethan's limping tonight and no idea why, trying not to worry too much. It doesn't seem to be hurting him at all and daycare wasn't sure if what happened since he never cried or fell, she thought maybe he just went off the step wrong or something. Calling the Dr. Tomorrow.

@josina: sorry! Maybe a cut or small brusie?!
G had a cut on her hand for a day or two and wouldn't close her fist, it was weird how she kept keeping it open...lol
I saw a tiny cut and thought that was it!

Still limping this morning. Dr appt for this afternoon. Daycare thought maybe it was a hole one of her dog's had dug that he stepped into wrong - I actually feel better knowing that he actually DID something, vs. he's just limping for no reason, because who knows what would cause that.
So maybe hip or knee? But you'd think that would hurt? I'll find out later I guess.

DH took him to the dr, and I guess he said he was fine... until DH mentioned the tick he had on him 2 weeks ago, so they put him on Amoxy and took blood to make sure, and we'll find out Friday on that.
I really don't think it's lyme disease though since the tick was only on him for 5 minutes (was still moving when I saw it) and was most likely a wood tick (not deer), but better safe than sorry for sure. I had DH mention it just in case.
Hopefully this limp goes away sooner than later and really is nothing.

@josina: must be so hard not fully know what caused it! i hope it goes away too and that it's nothing!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@josina: Better safe than think about it later, and be sorry you didn't bring it up! I hope it is nothing!

@josina: Poor little guy!! Hopefully he stops limping soon. And I'm sure the tick thing is nothing, but agreed - better safe than sorry.

I think we are starting a speration anxiety phase too, she says "hold me" and wants me to hold her at home (way more) than she ever does!
Cried at the bathroom door last night!
Either that or her Daddy preference is changing

No limping today so I think I was just being a paranoid mamma, but man these little people make you worry!
@FaithFertility: Awww, love those cuddles while you get em!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: Oh good! And I feel you!
I almost cried last night b/c I found a mosquito bite on her, lol! She never had one last summer!

@josina: Yay, these kiddos will always krep us guessing!
G has a bad diaper rash and I blame me because I gave her blueberries after a break and yep rash right away again
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: You know that bouncy horse thing you linked on another thread? I really think I'm going to order it... Kara is already bouncing on both of us all the time.. Now she takes a pillow on the bed and rides on it too like a horse!! She thinks it's hilaaarrrioouss..

@snowjewelz: Oh man, I want one so bad but haven't pulled the trigger cuz we have so much 'stuff' already, but I think he'd love it! We have a big ball that he bounces on already. My GF's twins have them and they love them too!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: there are soooo many cheapo versions, I'm so tempted to just get the cheapest one so that if she gets sick of it after a while, I wouldn't have spent much and I can just deflate and wait for the next kit haha. Ugh, so so tempted!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: get it
I just packed away her ball pit, activity table and old toys!
Time for new stuff...bahahaha
eggplant / 11861 posts
Anyone else feel like there kids are not into toys?!
G has a kitchen, rocking horse, tons of little people animals and such but really isn't into them!
Likes to color, puzzels and that is about it?!!
Already over water table, slide......
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: I think they go back to it though. I packed away her activity table but she dug it up and suddenly really likes it again. I hid a bunch of her "big" toys upstairs in a guest bedroom (walker thing, bead maze) and now she demands to go in there and plays with all of them!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: Hope so! Yes, her kitchen I put in AJs too..for now!
Maybe I should break out her activity cube
All her favorite activities need supervision! Coloring, play doh..etc!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: Logan's only into what his brother is into: matchbox cars, blocks, Megabloks, balls.

@FaithFertility: we actually moved a ton of her toys from the living room to the shelves in her room last night. All she seems to do with most is throw it on the ground and then doesn't seem to notice it anymore.
Of course this morning she was so excited to see her pillow pet on the shelf in her room. I tot I haven't seen her interact with in months.
I don't think they necessarily need new toys but for them to feel new since they may not have seen it lately or it may be in a different place.
With that said, I want to buy her a slide since she's always sliding off the couch, or my lap, or anywhere saying "whee!"
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Miss Ariel: our slides gets no love, haha! I'm thinking of moving it somewhere else in the yard for her to "discover"....
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@snowjewelz: I agree, get it!
@FaithFertility: Does G like to eat the playdough? E is constantly licking it! He must like the salty flavor (which would also explain why he's constantly after the salt shaker too!)
@Adira: Those are all our favorite toys right now too, Legos and cars.
@Miss Ariel: Whee is our favorite word, lol. E just got this big plastic 3-story garage that has a slide for the cars on the front, he climbs up it and slides down. ha ha.

K's favorite toy is to pull all the books off the shelf. Or throw anything she can her hands on. Just as soon as I have some time I'm doing a toy purge. I'm so tired of all the toys in our house that don't get played with. I think K would play with our duplo blocks right now, but I don't have room to get them out of the closet!
I will keep: Books, Kitchen, Little People, Blocks/building things. Doll bed/doll/stroller. Most everything else gets ignored by both kids these days and I'm over the excess.
C has a whole box of coloring books/paper and three boxes of crayons, pencils, markers etc. Those get kept too.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: K def got more into duplo's recently!
She loves to dump out all the toy food from the bin and laugh manically, hahahah. But she will actually put them back, phew, for now.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@josina: she has, not too often? I still keep a good eye because one day she might take a bite... lol
@Miss Ariel: yep, slide was cool for 2-3 days
@MamaG: I forgot about her duplos she does like those:)
nectarine / 2210 posts
@MamaG: we have both megablocks and duplos and K likes both. But the duplos are harder for her and when she can't connect them she'll throw tantrums. Because of that the duplos didn't make last nights toy purge and are put away until she's "mature" enough to play with them without freaking out.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Miss Ariel: Yeah, duplos are hard for kids this age. Xander didn't really start playing with Duplos until he was closer to 2.5. And now at 3, he still prefers the Megabloks, so that's what we have out.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
Well, K loves Duplo's b/c of the animals/people in there but yeah she cannot physically put them toegther so I have to help her. With Megabloks she can put them together herself. So we leave both out for different reasons!

How did I get so behind here? Yikes!
@winniebee: I hope that things are settling down with T & R. It must be so hard to deal with all of that on top of everything that you're going through

@FaithFertility: J is usually into whatever toy M is playing with I had another Moms club playdate here yesterday with 10 kids - so now my kids are super interested in the toys that other kids were playing with of course!
J has been a miserable mess for the last week or so but he's getting better. He had 4 days of high fevers and just as he was getting better he got a rash all over his back and belly - classic Roseola. So at least we're through with that one! He's still super clingy and wants to be held all the time, but hopefully getting better.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@MrsF: Oh funny G plays with so many things at her sitters that we have at home and she wants nothing to do with.
Her sitter says it is because all the other kids want it
But at home...no pressure!
Awww glad J is feeling better!

@FaithFertility: Ryan doesn't play with toys! He just climbs on stuff and tries to type on my computer all day. Or is only interested in Tylers toys.

You guys. We received the wind chimes today. My goodness, they are beautiful. And so incredibly meaningful and thoughtful. I am so lucky to have you in my life!! Will take a picture once we find a place to hang them
