@snowjewelz: Awww Nope G is pretty white still, girl is outside in FL all day but she is light like my sister!
I also wanted to chime in on Co-sleeping and being PG I know I am 29 weeks and belly will get bigger, I was afraid of her kicking me but she usualy cuddles up to DH so I have my back to her, or I put the comforter infront of my belly.......it works! I know that was something you were thinking of!

@MrsF: That is so cute! So glad to hear all of his new words!!!!!!

@Adira: Ohh sorry to hear of the wheezing! I hope he is feeling ok! I also hope your drive is a breeze!
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@Adira: aw, sorry about the wheezing. Poor kiddo.
@MrsF: haha!! that is so cute. H has started calling us mommy and daddy now, although it's still a pretty even mix with mama/dada. He calls my MIL Nana, and recently began also calling her "Nanny" and I had no idea why/where he got it from. But then today realized since he started calling us Mommy & Daddy, he probably edited hers to Nanny too. Haha. Mama changes to mommy, dada changes to daddy, so of course nana should change to nanny too
@snowjewelz: h is still pretty pale! Haha. He has Scandinavian and British blood, so I'm not too surprised
I can't believe all you preggo co-sleepers!!
H's sleep has gotten SO much better since we sleep trained. Every so often he'll have a wake up in the middle of the night, but he generally goes right back to sleep after I check on him. So, just wanted to say, don't be afraid to sleep-train now that they are a bit older. It actually helped me because I knew that he could understand a bit more

@theotherstark: So great to hear you're finally getting good sleep!!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@FaithFertility: I usually sleep with a pillow in between my legs, so that'll have to act as cushion from E's kicks ... although he's usually kicking closer to our faces!
@theotherstark: Oh man, I'd be all over sleep training if I could keep Ethan locked in his crib. Now that he's free it makes me nervous... one time I tried (by shutting his door) he got so mad he knocked the rocking chair over!
Ethan has mom/mommy and dad/daddy down. He calls grandpa's 'papa' and I think mema for grandma although I'm still trying to figure that one out for sure.
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@josina: that was part of my incentive to sleep train when I did; wanted him to still be contained in the crib ha.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@theotherstark: haha well we 30-40% co-sleep these days, she comes in around 2-4 a.m.
I would totally train but I think my hormones enjoy the cuddled too much

@snowjewelz: my kids are in the sun all day every day. Tyler is a darker shade of pale and Ryan is legitimately tan, despite sunscreen!

All of you still co-sleeping with a toddler are amazing We were on vacation this past weekend, and the last night E woke up screaming around 5a, co-"slept" with us (i.e., rolled around and wiggled) for almost 2 solid hours, then finally crashed again. I think we were all happy to be back home last night!
@snowjewelz: my kids are still pretty pasty. I tanned fairly easily as a kid, but DH is pasty as hell. Not sure if they got his skin or just wear all.the.sunscreen (slash we do lots in the shade).
Anyone else have any bedtime stallers lately? I remember K doing the EXACT same thing at this age, and it being frustrating as shit. Basically E just protests as soon as I put her in her crib, crying and carrying on for one more song, etc...but doing that just leads to another protest after that song/hug/whatever. She doesn't protest for long (maybe 5 minutes of hollering), but man, kid! Considering she has gone down basically without a peep for almost 18m....GRRRR. I try to enjoy the extra snuggles and know it will pass, but some nights I just can't handle it.

@KayKay: She is so silly at bedtime lately! She knows we sing 2 songs in our arms and in she goes! Usually ABC's for Twinkle Twinkle.....
I will ask her what song, she will say ABCD..so I start to sing about 1/2 way she says "No Star..." So I start to sing Twinkle Twinkle again 1/2 way she will switch and say " No bahh bahh sheep!
Hahahahah I truly think she knows if we don't finish the song then we don't go to bed

@KayKay: I crack up, these babies are getting sooo big!
Manners?! G has the best! It is so sweet! Yes, Please, Thank you, and sorry!
Sorry I feel she uses way too much...lol but it is cute!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@KayKay: @FaithFertility: I'm the sucker so she knows she can pretty much get me to do whatever she wants so bed time takes like 20-30 min lol. With DH she falls asleep in like 10!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: hahaha they know!
Lately if DH does bed time she is fine until he goes to leave.....cries and screams?!?!?
If I intervene and go in sing 1 song she is fine..so odd!

@KayKay: Lots of shenanigans at bedtime lately. The 2 kids have to jump on M's bed together and then we do a book and songs. Every song that I start J will shake his head and say "noooooo" in a goofy voice until I get to one that he wants.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
Have to share a really sweet moment last night! After shenanigans in the bed, she cuddled close to me and just stared at me for a long time (in a good way). Mid-way she whispered softly, "mommy" and continued to look at me. So I took the opportunity to just tell her how much we love her, how proud we are, etc etc. She just looked so mature and like she understood everything I was telling her. Then she didn't look for her binky and tried really hard to fall asleep without! She was eating her finger tho. And it was getting late so I ended up giving her the binky but from now on I'm gonna try without first!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: I'm gonna be so sad when she's like 16 and doesn't want to cuddle with mommy anymore
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: This made me cry!
So sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ummm G has no choice I will take the car away at 16 if she wont cuddle with me...bahahahah
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Oo, I like that, haha! no driving unless u cuddle with mommy! I told DH that when she's being annoying as a teen.. I'm gonna tell her that once upon a time, you begged to be in the bathroom with me even for #2
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
Oh but please don't forget before that, she cried wolf about pooping to delay bedtime, lol

@snowjewelz: Popping in really quick to say that M now has really dark legs from Disney & Universal last week, despite using sunscreen.
Also, M decided to grab Dada's razor last Saturday, so now he has an ouchie on his left hand....fun ER trip during our vacation.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@AngelicOne: Oh no! K def has reached for the razor more than once!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
Hope everyone will have a good weekend!
@Adira: Have a safe trip!
We have a wedding tomorrow and have to leave DD with my in-laws who don't really see her often... So I just have a teeny bit of anxiety! Obviously, it's one day, she's a big girl, and she'll be fine, so I don't know why I still worry so much sometimes!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: So we ended up not going! There was some drama there so the trip was canceled! I hope you had fun at the wedding and everything went well with the in-laws!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@AngelicOne: Hope you had a wonderful trip! How did he like Disney?!
Sorry about the ER trip I saw on IG! He looked, ok I am sure it is harder on Mommy and Daddy!
@Adira: Sorry your trip was canceled!
@snowjewelz: Hope the wedding was fun and I am sure K had fun too!

We had G dedicated last night, it was intimate and sweet!
It melted my heart as the pastor was saying a blessing over her she said amen before he did!!!
ohh then she was running all around during his talk....lol
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@FaithFertility: aww, that's so cute lol. 'amen'. Loved the pictures!
@snowjewelz: Looked like you guys had fun! How did K do?
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: I hope the drama wasn't too dramatic! At least you got to have a peaceful weekend without any traveling chaos!
@FaithFertility: The pictures were so sweet
@josina: She did great! Of course I always over worry haha. MIL said she put K on the bed, laid with her, she rolled around for 5 min and fell asleep! She will just never do that with me, hah! It was just SO nice to be without her hahaha... We haven't had a date in a really long time!
@winniebee: Wanted to say happy birthday here again!!! Where you celebrated looked gorgeous!! And you seriously look 30....!
@MamaG: Hope you had a great birthday too!

K barely ate dinner and it was some of her favorites. Checked her temp because that's what I do when kids are off. 100.2. Ugh. She's acting normal. Only other symptom is a runny nose. Hopefully she sleeps it off.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@snowjewelz: So glad you guys had some nice time alone and that K did well!
@MamaG: Bummer I hope it's nothing!

@mamag: we've got the summer cold/stomach bug around here too. probably from some combination of indoor pool (i'm never confident they are actually clean!) and air travel last weekend. E's nose is basically a fire hydrant of nasty snot, she is coughing, and today K was complaining her stomach hurt sporadically (although she was in good spirits inbetween). hopefully they get over it quickly!!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Summer sickness is the worst! Sucks ladies, I'm sorry!
Our nanny is on vacation this week (and because of a mix up we are not!) so we have a backup sitter and OMG Ryan was a hysterical mess on Monday with her. So bad that I took his temperature x3! He seems a little better with her today but it makes me super nervous for him to start "school" in a month.
