@snowjewelz: I wasn't planning to transition because I didn't want him to become dependent on it, but we will see how his sleep goes the next week. Ha.

Ok my morning adrenaline rush is gone. I am so tired and I feel like all I've done at work so far is pump!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: That's how I felt my first day. I spent the morning catching up on e-mails and getting my accounts back up and then the afternoon hit and I was like "bleh..."

@KayKay: high sleep needs. Lucky! It's a monumental task to get Ryan to nap. He usually will take a few 1.5 hour naps and then a cat nap. That's if I am lucky. Sleeps 8-7 or 730 with usually two wakes.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes... We both slept 3 hours and he's hanging out in his swing right now so I could pump one side. He started crying again when it was time for more tylenol, so sticking to it. I feel so bad for him, he's so sad.
@snowjewelz: I was the same way when I went back to work! I'd barely get into something and then have to go pump again, and I seriously forgot how to do some parts of my job! It took a couple weeks to get back into the swing of things.

@winniebee: yeah, that's what i figured. although i think the 4 month sleep regression was brutal to naps last time, so i should probably enjoy this last month just in case! it just seems like a LOT of sleeping and not much time to spend awake and learning things like how to roll over.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@KayKay: my baby is awake a lot and hasn't learned those things!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Ryan never sleeps. I am losing my mind. I have a sick toddler to look after and my husband is coming home late. This is just not fun today.
pear / 1961 posts
@winniebee: UGH - one of the worst combinations! any favors you can call in from a friend to bring you takeout or hold a baby for awhile?
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@KayKay: honestly we have like 2 friends here since we just moved here. One had a newborn and the other a toddler. So I doubt it
Ryan has been up since 115 with a 30 min cat nap. It's 6. Shoot me.

WOHM is tough! I get home at 6, hold my baby for s bit, scarf down dinner (I know I am blessed that I don't have to cook it...), nurse her, put her to bed, wash all my bottles and pump parts, quickly tidy up the house, and it's already 9 and I'll get s cat nap in before K wakes!

@josina: poor baby I hope you both get some rest!
@winniebee: Sounds like a crummy day. I'm sorry! It must be so hard to have your DH working long hours and moving around so much too. Hugs mama!
@snowjewelz: It's a tough adjustment! I hope K gives you a nice stretch of sleep!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
She is still sleeping pretty bad.. Where did 5+ hr stretch go

Best night of sleep for Ryan. 8-3 and then until almost 7. T up at 10 and 11 though coughing and needing us. Always something!!!!
@snowjewelz: my first son was doing great by 11/12 weeks and then his 12th week was up constantly and it was all wonky but he settled down again a week later. For a month until the 4m regression :). Woh is so hard and harried but there are so many great things about it too. Keep on truckin.

@winniebee: yay for good sleep!
I feel so bad for Ethan. He's got the full blown cold now, coughing, sneezing, and still a fever of 101.9 but nursing/peeing/pooping fine. Should get his test results from the nurse this am and then I can grill her on when we need to call in again if he gets worse. Having a sick baby sucks. I'm back to work today but Dh will be home with him again.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: I'm glad DH is home to take care of him! Poor little guy. My heart breaks whenever little ones get sick!
pear / 1961 posts
@winniebee: R must've known you needed a good night! Too bad T didn't get the message too
@snowjewelz: WOHM is hard, and I'm not sure if it really gets so much easier but you get used to the craziness. it also, honestly, took me...probably 6 weeks back at work before i felt like my "mommy brain" was gone, and i could actually function like a good little worker bee again.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@KayKay: oh man, good that we're not busy right now haha! I feel like I get one thing done and it's already time to pump haha!

@josina: awwww no I'm so sorry! Hope he feels better soon, extra cuddles for him
@snowjewelz: I'm sorry, I can only imagine how hrd, keep going I'm sure it will become a norm!
Give K extra kisses

So sorry for those of you not getting good sleep.
So last night when we got home from picking Micah up from my grandma's DH was changing his diaper and I hear him say "Oh my gosh!" so I ran in there to find out what was wrong and Micah had a small cut on his penis and it was bleeding. I mean it was really small and barely bleeding but I was like how in the world did that happen!? So I called my grandma and asked her and she couldn't think of how it happened but then later called me back and said she thought that it was the clasp on her bracelet and she was just crying and apologizing and was really sad that she accidentally hurt him. I felt so bad for her! Micah is totally fine, but I was thinking maybe I should put some kind of ointment on the cut?
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@whenoceansrise: Aww!! Poor grandma, she shouldn't feel too bad if it's just a small cut and he seems unaffected! Maybe put some aquaphor on?

Just got a call back from the Dr's office... Ethan has coronavirus and parainfluenza. Hoping we get through this with no emergencies.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: oh no! what's the action plan for that? I hope none of you get it from him too! poor thing
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@snowjewelz: All we can do is give him Tylenol and nose drops. Going to pick up a nosefrida tonight. Hoping he can kick this virus's ass.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: Me too!! You can do it lil guy! I hope he will continue to eat & sleep!
nectarine / 2053 posts
@josina: oh no! poor little guy! hopefull this will pass soon!
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@winniebee: awesome sleep!! Finally!! I bet he'll be the best sleeper out of all of ours, now
@josina: oh no, poor Ethan!! Hope it passes quickly. I don't know what those are, but keeping my fingers crossed that he doesn't get any worse.
@whenoceansrise: Aww poor Micah!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@theotherstark: I heard influenza and immediately assumed the worst, but its basically a cold (as is the coronavirus - runny nose, cough, fever) but can lead to croup, bronchitis, or pneumonia - so hoping he can kick it before that.
