2nd time mommies.. Are you getting gift for Big bro/sis? I need to get on this stat.

@BandDmommy: Not sure yet. She loves her "babies" which is her plethora of stuffed animals. I was originally thinking a new jellycat.
But, I did order a new American Girl Bitty Baby today, so that might be it.

@BandDmommy: I'm going to get him a little people play house or some sort of doll house. He doesn't have anything like it but loves that stuff. Going to get him a baby in the next month to prep him too.

@BandDmommy: I have been collecting a few little things. I have two big sister books, an outfit, a mini sized baby carrier ( she likes to try to wear my carrier lol!) and I'm contemplating a doll. It seems like a lot but I am basically giving her part of her Christmas gifts in a "big sister" tote instead.
Ps you look great

@winniebee: @Mrs. Tea: good ideas! B is obsessed with Cars so I'm thinking about getting him some Car toys and coloring books.

Today is cleaning day. I just filled a garbage bag in just our bathroom. It's amazing how much crap accumulated in the cabinets and drawers. I even found C's pacifiers that I hid nearly two years ago when we weaned. I wasn't ready to throw them at the time. They are now firmly in the trash.
We have accumulated so.much.stuff lately and I just want to throw it all away instead of trying to determine what's worth keeping and organizing it.
Anyone doing anything fun this weekend?

@BandDmommy: Ooh, good question! I've been planning on getting M a gift from the baby, but I don't have anything picked out yet. I like the little people idea and the doll carrier is super cute!

@MamaG: I love throwing stuff out lately! I got rid of a bunch of clothes that I couldn't fit into, the dog's old bed, old papers/notebooks. I also am giving people back stuff they lent me and even lent a friend one of my guitars. It feels great!

@MamaG: We NEED a day like that! Our linen closet is full of well.....crap...lol and I want that to be for diapers and such......ohhh where is the cleaning fairy when you need them?

I'm organizing our linen closet next weekend. This weekend we tackled organizing the laundry room. DH put in shelves. It feels so good to check things off our list. :).

@sandy: Glad to hear your update and things are going as well as can be expected! I'm happy you're able to get up and about and are going to be able to take maternity photos! Good luck with everything!
@BandDmommy: Yes, we're going to get Xander something, but haven't done it yet. I'm thinking an A&A Dream Blanket because he loves his A&A swaddle blankets and he's getting old enough that I might be comfortable letting him sleep with something heavier. We're also probably going to get him a few toys (probably some cars and maybe some balls of some sort).
Haven't gotten anything done this weekend or even taken my 28 week photo which I was going to do on Saturday because we've been at the hospital. Hope everyone is doing well!

@FaithFertility: I was home when I wrote my previous reply, but only to sleep. Xander is still in the hospital and now I'm back there too.

@Adira: when are they going to let him go home? I hope he's feeling better!! Do you know what he has?

@Adira: Is everything okay! I seemed to have missed your post about Xander!

@Adira: totally missed that your baby is sick! I hope everything is ok!!!!!

@BandDmommy: Still waiting on some test results, but it's looking like some respiratory virus. We were hoping to go home today, but the doctor is saying we will have to stay at least one more night unless he shows vast improvement during the day.

I'm envious of everyone getting so organized! I have these crazy nesting urges but my husband has been working around the clock including weekends so I haven't had any help to do anything on weekends. And I can only do so much by myself during the week at this point.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: Don't strain yourself! I haven't done too much either, I think we'll focus more in Oct. And I totally agree with you that most of the projects I need DH's help! I really want to clean out our garage and our cars, once & for all. The other thing I need to do is to make some room in the kitchen for baby stuff!
DH said he dad is supposed to come next weekend to help us assemble the crib/dresser. Once the dresser is up, at least I can wash & put her clothes away and hopefully then the nursery will look much more put together!

I had a totally unexpected surprise shower today. I suspected they were up to something at work, but I didn't expect a full blown lunch like I received. I'm very fortunate.

@MamaG: That is soooo kind!!!!! It's awesome to see the joy a baby brings to all!!!!!!

@snowjewelz: @BandDmommy: @FaithFertility: @whenoceansrise: @winniebee: Thank you ladies for your well wishes! Xander was released from the hospital last night and was thrilled to be home! He's not allowed to return to daycare yet though so Hubs is home with him today and I'm taking tomorrow off to be home with him.
@winniebee: I have nesting urges too, but I really haven't gotten a ton done! We painted Xander's room a few weeks ago, but haven't even cleaned up all the paint stuff! And all the stuff I've bought for the baby is just sitting in boxes in the living room! I'm not organized at all.
@snowjewelz: That's exciting about the crib and dresser!! I think my mom said our crib arrived and they (my parents) are going to come over to assemble it at some point, but not until we move Xander out of the nursery.
@MamaG: Oh my gosh, that's awesome about your surprise shower!! How sweet!!!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: Good to hear! I hope he gets back to 100% and hope you guys get some rest too! Must have been a stressful ordeal!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: Thank you!! It was so nice to actually go to bed earlier for a change and be able to get up and get ready for work and not have to go back to the hospital! Fingers crossed we can steer clear of hospitals until this next baby is born!

@Adira: I bet. Man, I think the flu season or whatever's going on, is in full swing! I'm hearing so many people/kids starting to get sick! I better get that flu shot soon!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: Seriously! The flu shot hurts, by the way. My arm was so sore after!
@magnolia: Thank you!!!
