Ladies... The clear solution is to not wear pants! All my "pants" are elastic waist, muahaha.
Everynight at like 9:30 I'm like, I'm ready to sleep!
Do you bees always wake up w/ nausea? Or it can develop during the day? I was fine this morning but sitting here at work I'm starting to feel not so great... But then I'm hungry at the same time..

@littlek: Those look fantastic! But I'm curious - what's the fit? I usually try to wear straight-leg or flare jeans because I have wide hips. What are these like?
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@snowjewelz: I'm actually fine first thing in the morning but feel worse as the day goes on.
@Adira: I would say relaxed fit with stretch. Sooooo comfy!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@littlek: Thanks! I think I'll just go ahead and order them! I can always return to the store if they don't fit, right?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@littlek: Double-checked their return policy and I can return to a store, so I'm just going to do it!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@littlek: Bleh! So you don't even really know what you're up against till it hits!
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@snowjewelz: My sickness is related to strong food/smell aversions so its random throughout the day. But I've found most smells and food do make me nauseous.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
Uggh. Today I would be starving, so I eat. And then I feel nauseous from eating. Repeat. But I can't help but eat b/c I feel so hungry!

@missybear: Glad to know I'm not alone
@snowjewelz: Haha lucky!! I wish I had more elastic-waist pants. I am wearing a skirt today, and it's amazing.
@littlek: I don't shop at Gap too often, so I don't know my size in their clothing really. I need to make an excursion, because I see their maternity stuff constantly recommended I love the look of their 1969 skinnies!
Is anyone else insanely thirsty?? I usually drink about 3 full Nalgenes of water a day (32 oz each) plus sometimes a glass or two after work. The last few days, I have been drinking at least 5 full Nalgenes a day!! WTF?? And I still feel parched at the end of the day! It is crazy-pants.
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@snowjewelz: I'm constantly starving. Thankfully, I don't get too much nausea during the middle of the day, so I'm trying to eat as much as possible now before the ms really kicks in. Watch, it won't ever hit me and I'll gain a million pounds. Oh well.
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
@snowjewelz: I do wake up nauseous in the morning. And it's pretty much there all day long unless I'm eating or just ate. The only thing that makes it go away is eating but I don't really have the energy to cook anything and handling food is not fun while being nauseous. It is not fun but at least there's a good reason why I'm feeling awful all day long
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@theotherstark: I know, I'm so afraid of ballooning up!
@sandy: Maybe you can try to prepare extra when you don't feel as bad so you can still eat! I am so sorry your m/s has been so bad Hugs
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
@littlek: thanks for the link! I just got a pair of Paige maternity jeans on consignment so they were $80! The panel is not huge so I think they would work for 1st trimester. I'm sooo bloated! Wearing my regular jeans with a belly band is just not very comfy
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@sandy: which ones? do you like them? I like the panel on the paige for 1st timester
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@theotherstark: I never shopped at gap until I had LO. I like the kids clothes and I feel like they are reasonably priced.
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
@littlek: I'm wrong - they're citizens Ava straight leg jeans. Pregnancy brain strikes again.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
I tried scrolling through 14 pages of updates and...I just can't catch up. I'll keep up from this point on
@sandy: I have citizens maternity jeans and love them! So stretchy and comfy.
@snowjewelz: we go to bed at 9:30 as it is.....I'm scared what is going to happen with this pregnancy. I'll be going to bed before my toddler lol!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: At least you tried! I think I was on like page 7 when I came on board and I didn't even try!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: haha, I read all the old posts, but it was when I was in the TWW and I was hoping to join! I didn't actually respond to any of them.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
I think there were only 3 pages when I joined, so it wasn't hard to catch up.

This is random, but what do you guys usually do for Christmas? Do you travel to family? What do you think you'll do this year with a newborn?
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
They're coming to us! And bringing all the food! I don't even know what we've done; I think we go to my parents usually, his parents aren't gung ho on gathering on that day. I guess we can ask them to come together, or just visit us separately
ETA: The twist this year is my SIL is due 11/30 so I guess I won't be seeing them and they won't be seeing us lol
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@Adira: Well, we alternate between his family and mine.; we're on the East Coast and both of our families are on the West (in different states). This year, we were going back to be with my family for Christmas. Clearly, that won't be happening, so when we tell them the news, we're going to see if they can come to us! Hopefully we can all be together, which would be nice

@Adira: We never see family for Christmas. We keep saying we need to, but always had trouble getting time off work for both of us. (Now we just have his time off to worry about). Guessing next year, we'll be visiting somewhere (I vote for SC instead of MN though lol)
ETA: We might see if my MIL will come visit us this year which would be nice so we'll have help.
pomelo / 5298 posts
@Adira: Our families live in different states than us. I'm extremely selfish and protective of my immediate family. I declared when we started our family that I didn't want to spend Christmas away from home. Everyone is welcome to travel to us, but I don't want to travel.
Fortunately (or not), my DH now has a job that has a blackout on November and December so he can't get time off regardless.
My parents had already stated they wanted to come again this year for Christmas before we knew I was expecting. My sister lives within driving distance (4 hours) so I expect she will drive to us as well.
I'm worried as I'm a last minute shopper. I'm going to need to have everything done early this year. It will be a challenge!

I think I've found the source of my daily misery, my vitamins! Today I opted not to take them first thing and I've felt better all day. I guess, I will try to take them this evening before bed and hope for the best.
I've read of others having this issue, but it wasn't an issue for me previously.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
We usually go to GA for christmas and visit both sets of parents. My parents live in Savannah and DH's live in Atlanta. However, after the disastrous trip last year we planned on staying home for christmas. So, no change to our plans. My cousin is getting married NYE, not sure what we will decide. The wedding is in Dallas. We live in VA, just to give you a bearing.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MamaG: I know that one set of vitamins I used to take caused me problems so I switched to taking them before bed too!
Our family is all mostly lucky (maybe 2 hour drive at most) and we usually alternate holidays between Hubs family and mine. This year it's his family's turn to have Christmas, but I'm not sure I'll want to travel with a newborn. And I'm not sure I want to be around germy people (SIL has two kids of her own). But then again, they all visited us when Xander was born and he was fine, so I guess I shouldn't worry about it. I'm thinking I might try to get people to come to us though instead of us traveling with a newborn!

We usually stay over my parents Christmas eve and spend Christmas morning at their house with my siblings and their kids and then head to DH's family lakehouse (about an hour away from my parents) for a few days to spend time with his mom and sisters.
We will be living about 1.5 hours away from our families come this fall. And, my husband is starting a new job in Sept. and might have to take call Christmas. I'll be due so close to Christmas (though, I did go a little early last time). So, I really don't know what we will do.
persimmon / 1050 posts
@MamaG: That was the cause of my misery as well. I started taking them with dinner (not 100% better but about 90%). Hope before bed works for you.
honeydew / 7283 posts
Our families are both within an hour so that definitely makes holiday plans easier. We usually go to my parents' house but I wonder if it would be easier for people to come to us this year. We'll see!
@MamaG: I hope it helps you to take the vitamins later! I couldn't keep mine down this morning but I was able to take them ok just now.
Is the first day spent puking a pregnancy milestone or what? On that note - it's 8:25 and I'm going to bed!

Good question re Christmas. I think il try to go to my family MAYBE but it's a 5 hour drive so not sure... Could get the train as that's only 2 hours. I'm more worried about a very close friends wedding on NYE. DH is an usher (groomsman) so he is definitely going to have to go and I would love to be there but I'm not taking a tiny new baby! I guess we will just have to see.
@MamaG: My sister found taking folic acid made her really sick during a pregnancy (it was prescribed by the doctor). I have been taking my supplements in the afternoon. Think that helps.

Oh my gosh girls, I'm telling my best friend today about the pregnancy!!! I'm soooooo excited!! Her and another friend are going to be the only people in real life I tell before 12 weeks!!
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Adira: Exciting!
@snowjewelz: Good luck today at your appointment!
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@Adira: Yaaay so exciting!
Uggggh you guys. I feel SO gross today. Vomited this morning and now I just feel so disgusting. I want to go home and sleep all day. Haha. I'm 6 weeks tomorrow (or 6w1d today based on ovulation), so I suppose it's right on time, but blergh.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@littlek: Thanks! I'm so nervous! I think today is the one where they're checking for the heartbeat. I'm praying everything is alright in there!
@theotherstark: Bleh! I hope it won't be too bad! I'm dreading 6 weeks too... I'm technically almost there too
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@snowjewelz: Ahh, yay for your appt today! That's awesome. I hope you see the little heartbeat BUT, just remember that sometimes you can't see it until 7 or 8 weeks. You're still really early, so don't freak out if they can't find it yet
Yeah, it is not pleasant ... I'm hoping it isn't too bad ... Ha.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
I think, rather hope, I had food poisoning last night. I was up all night with nausea like woah. I never had morning sickness with my son. Is it even possible to feel that bad before you miss your period? I still feel nauseous this morning.
In other news at 11dpo, the per stick line is so much more clear and pink. Still not as dark as the control though! With my son I held off on testing until 12dpo and the line was definitely not this dark!
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@theotherstark: sorry you aren't feeling well!
@snowjewelz: hopefully you get to see it.. But remember it's super early.. So don't stress
