@snowjewelz: Yeah, my bump photo is NOT flattering because I have a serious pouch going on from the first pregnancy. But I'm hoping that it eventually looks like a baby bump... just not until the 2nd trimester, haha!

Okay ladies, am I exhausted because I'm pregnant or because I'm not drinking as much caffeine (because I'm pregnant)???
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@littlek: haha, probably! Maybe no one will notice if I crawl under my desk and take a nap...

@Adira: I've seriously considered that lately... maybe turn on a webcast and close my office door... no one will know, right?

@littlek: haha, my desk is in a cubical and I have a cubemate, so people would probably notice if I did it, haha. But you should totally do it!!! Take one for both of us!

@MamaG: thanks so much for the info. I had my first appointment and my Dr had blood drawn to test for progesterone levels, hcg and thrombophilia (although I had that done before with no issue), among other things. I go back monday to find out the results. Did the progesterone affect you?

@MrsMangoMochi: I was craving mashed potatoes and gravy tonite and made a bunch, maybe its a sign?

@magnolia: I didn't have any noticeable negative effects from taking progesterone. This pregnancy my levels are fine but I had already picked up the prescription before I got my lab results so I'm taking it regardless.

@littlek: I'm already thick in the middle, so you can't tell necessarily, but I'm getting real limited in which pants still fit comfortably. I certainly don't remember feeling this way last time.

I switched things up this morning, and had a breakfast burrito instead of my usual cheerios and banana. I'm hoping the protein will help with my all day miserable feeling. I'm still exhausted but LO didn't wake up in the middle of the night so I was able to get a better night sleep, finally.
If I feel miserable again today I'll be calling the doctor to request Zofran. It kept the morning sickness at bay last time. I'm also starting to get heartburn too. Yippee, this was an issue my entire pregnancy last time too.
I'm quite the ray of sunshine this morning In more positive thinking, the sun is shining this morning and it's supposed to be a nice spring day. And it's Wednesday, the week is half over!

@MamaG: I popped in a week. I showed early last time, short torso, but this is cah-razy...

@littlek: Wow bump already! I think so far its' still my own pudgy stomach... I so wish I can blame my current weight on the baby

@snowjewelz: If I had not been eating extremely healthy and very small portions (food makes me nauseous) I would think I was just packing on pounds. But that plus my exercise regime the only thing I can guess is my body is used to being stretched out and started early...

@littlek: That makes a lot of sense! I wish I had lost some weight before I got pregnant! I really don't know when I will be able to tell bump vs fat hahaha. And this is also the same reason why so many people have been guessing that I'm pregnant (even before my actual BFP) b/c I've been gaining weight

@ustechie: Congratulations!!!
@littlek: Umm... I started off looking pregnant, haha.

So I have my first appointments booked! Friday, May 9th and Thursday, May 15th. The May 9th one I think is just the intro one where they go over everything I already know because this isn't my first rodeo. The second is the one with the actual midwife. No u/s scheduled - the secretary just ignored me when I tried to insist that I have wonky cycles and wasn't as far along as my LMP date would suggest. Oh well.

@Adira: You also had a baby a year ago and I've had 2 years to lose the baby weight.

@Adira: @littlek: And I've had no kid and zero excuse to already look pregnant

@littlek: Thanks for the validation!
@snowjewelz: haha, don't worry! I wasn't skinny the first time around either!

OK, I definitely won't be announcing anything. I finally got an early doctor's appointment and it turns out I'm not pregnant I hope to join you all in becoming a mom again someday... But not just yet.

@littlek: cutest little bump!! I'm jealous haha right now I just feel like a big blob of bloat. But I'll just pretend it's a bump I guess maybe it's a good thing, since I'll be leaving my job after baby to be a sahm, and I just put in for a promotion before I found out so I may be getting a higher position... I guess it may be a good thing that I don't show early? (this is what I tell myself so I'm not sad about not having a bump! so dumb.)
Guys, this is so hard. Why do we have to feel the worst when it has to still be a secret and we don't even look like we're pregnant? I was throwing up last night, and my husband was acting like I have the flu and staying away. I was like, hello I'm pregnant, not sick, don't go all germaphobic on me! And I'm in the bridal party for one of my friends who is getting married next month, and her mom who is seriously the most nosy and irritating woman I know keeps pestering my mom about why I'm not helping more with the wedding (like it's even anyone's business, are we in high school or something?) when I'm just at home sleeping and throwing up and honestly can barely handle my own work and cooking, let alone helping her with a wedding. But since no one knows, it just kind of makes me feel like a jerk, even though I have a completely reasonable excuse. Sigh.
