@FaithFertility: Aw that is so nice!

Now that I'm not sick anymore I feel so much better! Surprising I'm able to sleep (with getting up max 2 times only!). And I'm just praying that I feel good enough to keep working... I need those paychecks before I have nothing!

I'm actually feeling surprisingly well. Last time I remember being sooooooo sore at this point in my pregnancy and even begged Hubs to get me a prenatal massage for Christmas (I was due in March last time). This time I only have 5 weeks left (tomorrow) and I'm not nearly as sore! I've even been able to sleep well without all the extra pillows I needed last time around. I wonder if it's the difference between a posterior placenta and an anterior one (I had an anterior one last time and so much back pain). I also wonder if maybe this means I won't have back labor? *fingers crossed*

I'm feeling fabulous compared to last pregnancy as well. Getting up from the floor is getting more challenging, but I can still do it. Sleep has been crummy, but I think that's more related to C coughing through the night than anything else. And I actually managed to get my feet into shoes today.

I have a meeting with the President and thought flip flops probably weren't the best image. This is the wrap up to the project I've been pushing to get done over the past month. If this meeting goes well, it's smooth sailing through the rest of the week as I clean up and transition.

My to-do list at home is pretty short. I have about 30 minutes of organizing left to do in the guest room and nursery. And the guest bath and master bath need a good cleaning. DH and I will divide and conquer on the bathrooms one night this week. I have a few more online orders to do this week (hopefully today).

Oh! Our BBB was having an awesome clearance sale this weekend. It was a lot of damaged packaging items for over 50% off. I got a Brest Friend pillow for $15! And we stocked up on MAM pacifiers for about $2 for the two packs. They had some great sleep sacks and miracle blankets for cheap too, we just didn't need them. If you are going there it might be worth a look.

@Adira: I find that I just need my normal body pillow and this small pregnancy wedge under my belly... I tried using a snoogle that my friend lent me but end up hating it! I switch sides at night too so it's nicer to not have so many things to maneuver!

@MamaG: Nice nice! I have my last online order to place too through Amazon... I'm debating whether to join prime/mom to get the 15% completion. I have another huge batch to return at Target today and then some stuff to return at BBB too and then I swear I am done shopping lol!

Oh and btw I TRIED to wear socks/boots now that it's cold. Realize I cannot bend in anyway to put them on unless DH puts them on for me! So now I'm back to flats. I figure I can just tough it out a few more weeks!

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@MamaG: That's awesome how much stuff you got done!! I feel like I still have soooo much to do. And yay sales!

@snowjewelz: I've been thinking about wearing boots too, but I think I'd go sockless because putting on socks now is such a hassle! And I'd only wear my boots if I can slip into them, which I'm not sure I can (they're a pair of Bearclaw). Thinking I'm sticking with flats until the baby is born! Just hope it doesn't snow!!

@Adira: I tried and I couldn't haha. Or I barely could but it's painful. I tried sitting down, standing up, slanting sideways... lol. And its' not cold enough for Uggs stuff!

Still feeling good, although Saturday night I had horrible indigestion after a big meal of steak and potatoes, so I think I'll be sticking to lighter foods from here out!

We are almost done with our remodel, floors will be complete this week. I got all the newborn clothes/blankets washed this weekend, made 1 last Target run yesterday and toured the birthing center, so definitely feeling better about baby coming early. Should be able to put the crib together this week once floors are done.

The nurse giving the tour said that if baby is born at 36 weeks they may keep him for up to 1 month in the NICU, so praying he stays put for 2 more days, still no contractions or anything so I think (hope) we're good to go.

Luckily I've had no issues with putting socks on so I've been wearing my slip on boots for awhile now! We're looking at 30's all week and snow. Unfortunately last weekend I managed to screw up my knee, so I've been pulling on a knee brace all week as well. Not so fun.

@josina: Wow, born at 36 weeks and having to stay in the NICU for a month seems crazy, especially since only one more week would be term. I'm guessing that's more of worse case?? Hopefully baby stays put for a few more days!!

  13. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@josina: I know! A month for being born a week before being full term?! Maybe that's like a cautious time frame and most babies get discharged within a week or two?

  14. josina

    pomegranate / 3973 posts

@Adira: @snowjewelz: Thats what I thought! She said they need to observe them, and find out why they were born early, etc., but I thought that was a lot for being only a few days pre- 'full term'.

Thanks everyone for your sweet comments about our maternity pictures! I love them!

I'm feeling pretty good! Still not sleeping very well and I can definitely tell some things are getting harder for me to do (like put on my shoes)- But I can't believe we are almost there!

  16. BandDmommy

    pomelo / 5660 posts

@josina: that's ridiculous! My son was born at 34 weeks and he was only in NICU for 10 days. TBH- I don't think she knows what she is talking about.

    @BandDmommy: thank you

I'm sitting at my OB's office hooked up for my last monitoring appointment - then I go in first thing thursday morning for my csection

I cannot believe how incredibly fast this time has gone! My bags are packed for my hospital stay and then a bigger bag that DH will take with him up to Seattle for the time that we'll be up there with Ava.

Monitoring went great and now I'm off to do my Costco run so the pantry and fridge are stocked for LO while we're gone

@FaithFertility: Fun! Have a great shower!

@josina: that sounds so strange to me! My DD was exactly 36 weeks and didn't go to NICU at all. Hope your baby can cook a little longer!

I'm feeling more tremendous every day. I'm officially a week later than when I had M, and I just feel huge! It's getting hard to sleep and my hips (SI joints, I think?) are killing me. All complaining aside, I'm just thrilled to be 37 weeks (full term!) today.

In the waiting room right now for my OB appointment, ultrasound and NST.

  26. MamaG

    pomelo / 5298 posts

@sandy: Lots of love and thoughts of health coming your way this week. I will be at my final OB appointment while you are having your C-section.

Your plate is significantly more full than mine, but I haven't even packed a bag yet. I managed to get the bag out of the closet and that's where it sits, empty.

@MamaG: haha, I have the bag we used last time just sitting in our bedroom, empty as well. But I'm not as far along as some of you ladies!

@BandDmommy: Ahhh!! That's only two weeks away!!!

    Ok two dumb questions -

    (1) Just to confirm what I'm reading online is correct; carseat is supposed to go in the middle seat?

    (2) I believe the standard stay after a vaginal birth is 2 days... So the countdown starts after you've officially given birth? I want to start packing the hospital bag and I don't want to go too nuts if you're really not there for all that long!
