@snowjewelz: I stayed 3 nights last time but the first night I was laboring.

@snowjewelz: The safest location for the car seat is in the middle, but double-check when you install whether you can use latch there or not.
As for hospital stay, I arrived Monday at 5:00 p.m., gave birth Tuesday at 2:06 a.m., and left on Thursday around 11:00 a.m.

I feel pretty good minus contractions and intense cervical stinging when I walk. My sleep is ok, not as bad as last time. Last night sucked because my son woke up which he never ever does. I don't think I'm all that huge though since baby's growth has slowed as per my growth scans so I'm just not that uncomfortable at this point. But I'm only 34 weeks and change.

Hi ladies. Hope everyone is good. Sandy - good luck on Thursday! So exciting. Hope all goes well and baby is born healthy and happy.
I don't have to go back to hospital until Thursday which im please about as I have been monitored so much this past week. Unpacking our house is going well. I feel like we are getting there. The crib is put together which made everything seem very real! Just need to buy some baby clothes for preemies as although she is only going to be 3 weeks early, they think she could be small and have told me to prepare for her to be in nicu and for me to be kept in. Ordinarily in England you can leave 12 hours after a normal vaginal birth! I am really hoping I will get to leave quickly as I hate hospitals so much! Anyway, i have no internet at my new house yet which is driving me insane but im going to try and check in on you all, especially Sandy, and see how you are. Cant believe this time next week i could be holding my baby!

@BandDmommy: @Adira: @whenoceansrise: @snowjewelz: I just requested to follow each of you on IG. My IG name is pretty much my real name (and my husband is a paranoid internet security professional ) so I haven't shared it on HB. If you can't tell who I am or if anyone else would like to follow me, let me know! It will be so much fun to see some December babies on IG soon!

I had another good OB appointment today as well as an uneventful NST and ultrasound . BP was still high but stable, the blood flow to the baby, etc looked good on ultrasound and he did great on the NST! I will hear from my OB if there's any problem with the labs that they drew, but no news so far is good news. I'm just so happy to be full term today without things progressing any further.
I'll continued to be monitored twice a week with NSTs and ultrasounds weekly and basically be induced quickly if anything worsens. My OB said today that she won't let me go past 39 weeks with my history and current situation. It's crazy to know that, no matter what happens, I'll be heading towards a baby two weeks from today!

@MrsF: Accepted and requested to follow you back!
Glad to hear your OB appointment was good! I can't believe you might have your baby in two weeks!! I wonder how many of us will actually end up with November babies!

@Mrs.Lilac: so excited for you! will be thinking of you from across the pond I have a feeling NB clothes would be okay too so hopefully you don't need to buy too many preemie size!
@MrsF: the NSTs are always so uneventful! But I guess being forced to relax in a recliner for 30min isn't that bad I'm glad everything is going well and that you are on your way to meeting your baby!!

@whenoceansrise: love your photos! You look great!
@BandDmommy: I am feeling ok for the most part. It is definitely harder to get up off the floor, which is not helpful when the only place LO wants to read books is on the carpet. I have 35 days (!) until my expected induction date, which is slightly terrifying as I still feel like I have a lot to do and time is just slipping away very quickly. I really need to get myself in gear.
@sandy: I am glad your last appointment went well. I will definitely be thinking of you and little Ava on Thursday! I can't believe she is coming already and am hoping for the best for you both!
@snowjewelz: I always read the safest place is the middle, but that is entirely dependent on your car and how you install it too. Many cars don't have LATCH in the middle, so people choose to put it on one side.
As for the hospital stay, my hospital allowed two days after a normal vaginal birth, but that wasn't 24 hour days, it was calendar days. So if your baby was born at 11:59 pm December 1, you had to check out December 3, but if your baby was born 12:01 am December 2, you could stay til December 4. My LO was born at 1:39 am, so we stayed the full two days after and I was really glad to have that extra time with the nurses.

I don't use it often right now, but I would love to keep track of all of you on IG. My IG name is avicula33 and will request to follow those of you who have put your names up. I'll probably start using it again, which means you will all see pictures of LO#1 for now until baby boy comes.

I'm behind on everyone's updates. Just chiming in to say I feel like officially the grumpiest pregnant person ever at work today (after not getting paid for 16 hours of overtime I worked) and I also cannot put my shoes on thanks to the baby bump.

@josina: wow sounds like you have got a lot done!
I think baby in NICU for a month at 36 weeks is worse case...my friend had her DS at 36 and a few days and he wasn't even in NICU.....he was a bigger baby at 7lbs but still... all cases are different, I just think they want to prep and educate us for the worse cases....I am sure all will be fine, and baby stays!!!!

@MrsScallop: I hear you on trying to get up off the floor! My two year old's favorite request is "mama! sit on carpet with me!". I just can't say no to her knowing that in the next two weeks I won't have as much time for her, but it's not easy to get up!
I requested you on IG

@MrsF: Glad to hear that your appointment went well and things are looking good!!
I'm feeling so behind on this thread. I requested to follow everyone on IG that posted their usernames here, as well as (I think!) @sandy: and @winniebee: . If you want my username, feel free to wall me!
I cannot believe we are going to be meeting these little ones so soon!!
Glad that people are feeling okay for the most part. I still need to add some stuff to our hospital bag, and do a last run to Target and BBB. We also took an infant CPR class this weekend that sort of freaked me out. Ha. Hopefully I will never have to put it to use!!

Hmm installing a carseat is proving to be more difficult than I thought! I just need to make sure our car has a latch system for the middle seat and that it's wide enough for the carseat, I think?? We better bring it somewhere to have it checked afterwards too!
I'm so excited to be following you guys in IG! I guess that means I need to post more 98% of my IG posts are about my dog, my 1st baby haha!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: I know for my car and my particular car seat, you can't use the latch in the middle. But figuring that out is challenging!! And we didn't actually figure it out until we installed our convertible car seats (or maybe it's just the convertible car seat that we couldn't use latch in the middle?? I have no idea).
Good luck!
ETA: Just checked my car manual and it specifically says "Your vehicle is equipped with LATCH (lower anchors and tethers for children) at the outer rear seats." To me that means you can't use the LATCH system in the middle. So definitely read both your car seat manual and your car manual!
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@snowjewelz: Ha, most of my IG pictures are of my dog too
And we can't use the Latch in the middle seat either; we'll probably just do the latch on one of the side seats, although I know that isn't ideal.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: I'm reading so many conflicting things online! Bleh. Maybe we just go to one of those inspection stations to do it!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: It's definitely complicated! You could also join the FB group "Car Seats for the Littles" and ask them about your specific car seat and car. They're pretty knowledgeable!
