@babypie: @PawPrints: @busylizzy111: Welcome and congratulations!!!
@winniebee: You look fantastic!!!
@sandy: OMG, you are so thin - I hate you!
So I will admit, getting past when AF was due really DID help! I feel a lot less panicked about this pregnancy and sometimes I even forget to check for spotting when I go to the bathroom! But I'm still trying not to get TOO attached until I see or hear this thing! Which probably won't be until around 12 weeks... ugh.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@busylizzy111: welcome and congrats!! Are u a German citizen or an ex pat??
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Adira: I'm still worried! I feel like a poser/like this pregnancy is too good to be true. Hoping for a dating ultrasound by 7 weeks but not sure if I will get one....

@busylizzy111: Welcome, and congratulations!!
@sandy: & @winniebee: you ladies look great!! At this point, I'm still just all bloat.
Did everyone have a nice weekend? I had a great weekend, although was pretty nauseous yesterday. I don't really have any food aversions, but nothing really sounds good. And I threw up a lot this morning, so that was fun. My husband keeps saying "just 6-8 more weeks of this!" Haha. Bless his heart.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: I hear you! I feel like a poser too! Especially since I have no symptoms except mild bloating! I was really hoping I'd get a dating ultrasound too, but when I called, the secretary basically just ignored me when I told her I had long cycles and I wasn't sure how far along I was and she just scheduled the normal appointments based on my LMP. Bleh.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Adira: ugh! Well then you get to go in earlier at least since u have long cycles!! The receptionist scheduled me for an appt next week and said I might get scheduled for an early ultrasound but I'm not sure if it's because I might be high risk?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: Well they didn't have anything available when I WANTED to go in, so I'm actually going in two weeks later, bleh! I THINK I'll be 8 weeks (based on ovulation). Stupid OB office. And I'll envy you for an early u/s but not for being high risk!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
You ladies look so cute with your little bumps! I stare at my midsectin every morning wondering when I can tell it's not fat anymore but bump, haha
@Adira: @winniebee: Ugh tell me about it! I have no symptoms. Not even cramping/bloating anymore. My boobs are still so sore but I kinda got used to it and basically wear my sports bra 24/7. I've gone to the OB twice now, but without much progress of course since it's early. I asked her if I just shouldn't come in for 2 weeks, but now that I have my heart shaped uterus, OB wants to see me every week!
@theotherstark: I'm exhausted from the weekend! Spent it with 400+ teens (50 of our own). I really tried not to over extend myself, but I felt like other adults might thought that I was being lazy since I can't tell anyone!

glad to hear i'm not the only one looking like, 3 months pregnant already!! i'm a little nervous since i really don't have any symptoms. with my last pregnancy, i felt nauseous, but never got sick. i guess there is still time...
it doesn't help that i'm an ultrasound tech and could scan myself whenever i'd like, but i really want to try to stay away from that. plus, doing a transvaginal on yourself isn't easy! =P
i'll probably still take a peek transabdominal on thursday- i should be 6 weeks by then and hopefully see something!!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: Oh my gosh, every week??? That's crazy! Although I'd kind of enjoy that, haha.
So I realized that this time around, I won't have enough sick and vacation time to cover my maternity leave. Which means I'll have to go a few weeks unpaid AND when I come back to work, I will have ZERO vacation time left. I'm really worried about what that will mean for nursing. Last time around, I had to use 2-4 hours of vacation every single week just to cover my time pumping in order to provide for Xander. If I don't have any vacation left, will that mean I won't be able to pump at work?? I'm already stressed just thinking about this! I can't wait until I'm far enough along to tell people at work and have a big sit down with HR to figure this out!

@babypie: @PawPrints: @busylizzy111: Welcome and congratulations.
I'm so pleased it's Monday so I can see if the doctor will prescribe something for the nausea. It was a rough weekend. My DH and kiddo aren't used to me not feeling well. And I don't much enjoy being miserable either.
I'm officially 7 wks today and only 3 more weeks to go before I can see the dr.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@snowjewelz: wow every week! Will that be the case for your whole pregnancy? I don't even have sore boobs yet....only intermittent cramps
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@snowjewelz: My boobs are still really really sore too. And they've definitely gotten bigger! I wish I could wear a sports bra to work. Haha. I bet you're exhausted after dealing with all those youngin's this weekend! Hopefully you can take some naps here and there this week
@ustechie: Oh man - that's neat you can do the ultrasounds on yourself! So crazy. I am going a little nuts waiting for my first appt I just want to see the little bean and know that everything is progressing okay!
@Adira: Yeah, I'm a little nervous about this too. We have a few big trips and some weddings coming up, which are eating into my PTO. We'll see how things work out! I'm looking forward to speaking with my HR people as well.
@MamaG: Ugh, I'm sorry you're feeling so miserable. I hope you can get a prescription to help!!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@ustechie: That's very cool that you're an ultrasound tech! So you'd know exactly what you'd be looking for too!
@Adira: Yeah! And they know I'm early too. I told them I literally JUST missed my period. I was about to ask the OB last week if I should just skip a week, but now that I have my heart shaped uterus, she wants to see me every week for sure
@MamaG: Yay! So glad you'll finally be getting something to help with the nausea!
@winniebee: I don't know! I should ask next time huh
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
I finally got up the courage to take a digital. Positive. Phew.

Oh, also, my allergies have been horrendous the past couple of days! We're finally getting spring weather here and all of the pollen is out. Joy!
cantaloupe / 6687 posts
@snowjewelz: it's takes soooo long to show with the first pregnancy...and super quick with the second it appears . That's great your OB is being cautious...better than the alternative for sure!
@MamaG: sorry you had a rough weekend! Hope it was the worst of it and you're feeling better this week!

@sandy @mrsf @mrsscallop @angelicone @adira @mamag: thank you and congrats to you ladies too.
I just made my u/s appt for 4/29.
pomelo / 5298 posts
@theotherstark: @snowjewelz: @sandy: Thanks ladies. Call has been made to my OB. I went to get some pretzels from the vending machine (thinking they would help) and there is all sorts of other stuff, but no pretzels. So here I sit sucking on a peppermint disc and sipping water. It seems to be helping.
I'm envious of all these early appointments (sort of!). My insurance isn't great so I keep trying to remind myself that the less frequently I go to the doctor the less this is going to cost me.
@adira: I will have exactly 6 weeks of accumulated time off when I am due. Looks like a short leave for me. I'm bummed about it, but there's not much I can do.
I'm debating if I will try to breastfeed again. I really struggled the first time around and gave up at 10 days. My heart was never set on it. I often wonder though if my daughters seasonal allergies would be less significant if she had been breastfed.

@winniebee: hahaha.. Nice to get that over with. That's good they are able to get you in early. How far will you be then? @snowjewelz: that's so weird they are seeing you every week. Any idea how long? Just first trimester?
@theotherstark: it was such a beautiful weekend!
@MamaG: hopefully your dr will be able to give you something for your nausea.
@Adira: that stinks about having to go unpaid. I'm planning on taking off at least 4 months maybe more.

I have been so crazy sick the past week. I'm really dizzy and nauseaous all day, and then from 2pm until I go to sleep I'm throwing up. Usually around 4 times a day. I know it could be worse, but man this is awful. I've started taking naps every evening, not because I'm tired (even though I am) but just because when I'm asleep, I don't realize how sick I feel. The hubs was asking me if I am losing weight, and I probably am which is sad because I want a bump haha. Last night we were about to dtd, and he's all, "whoa missy, you've got a 6-pack!" to which I replied, "probably the only time in my life that I am very sad to hear that!" But then he made it up to me and said I still have my tiny little bump at the bottom, so maybe it's more like a 4-pack... great. haha
But this morning I woke up and had a bit of a bump without it being bloat! So that's exciting Also, I'm getting an ultrasound April 25!!! Yippee!
