@winniebee: I am German.
I am back from my first OB/Gyn visit - other than waiting for an hour it was very pleasant. He did an US, but obviously it is way too early to see something, and took some blood for all kinds of test, blood type etc.
And then I got 3 goody bags! Is that the norm? Felt like christmas. one was obviously meant for way later (it says 8-9months on the label), but so nice!
The first had a mini mama massage oil and mini mama shower creme and a baby book/diary, the one for later is a cute wash bag with mini baby lotion, oil and body wash, a bottle and a tea sample for me and the third was a bag full of information, leaflets, another little diary 2 magazines for parents and coupons. -

This is my first full day knowing that I'm pregnant and I cannot concentrate on work at all. I'm so excited I can barely stand it. Also, I really want to go back to the coffee pot for a second cup and I'm having to tell myself not to. I have so much work I need to get done today but I'm worried I'm going to spend it all browsing HB and looking on Craigslist for baby gear.

Now I am waiting for hubby to get home, dying to tell him! -
@PawPrints: haha, YEP! That was so me for my first!!! I could not concentrate at work almost the entire pregnancy, haha!! I just kept looking up all the things you need to avoid or do in each trimester! It's such a fun and exciting time!!

@pawprintsI hear that! Its hard to believe it is real. My doc keeps encouraging me to be positive.
Luckily I got a nice surprise at my appointment today. Not only did all my bloodwork come back normal but my doc had a sono done and I got to hear the heartbeat! It was amazing! The tech said the measurements were right for 6weeks 3 days!
Excited to share this blurry pic with all you mamas to be as my partner is the only one I can share it with in real life so far...

So I'm not sure if it was just because I was hungry, but I actually felt kind of nauseous earlier. But I'm not even 5 weeks yet... did any of you ladies experience nausea this early? Last pregnancy I didn't have any until after 6 weeks.

@Adira: nausea didn't set in for me until week 6 my first pregnancy but it started week 5 this time and that first week was soooo tough for me. I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow and it's already feeling better...just kind of a nagging queasiness rather than I feel like I'm going to die if I move all consuming nausea

@Adira: I felt nauseous last week when I was hungry too. As long I can eat whenever I am hungry I feel ok.
@sandy and @winniebee hope yall feel better! Wrist bands are great or you could try pressing in between the two small bones that come down vertically from your hand/wrist for some temporary relief at least. -
@magnolia: DH picked up those acupressure wrist bands for me this weekend. He's basically like it can't hurt so give it a try. My friend who had awful nausea with her twins said it helped her so I've been rocking my sexy wrist bands since Sunday. LO calls them "mama's ouchies" bc they look like band aids

@Adira: I felt sick (and was actually sick) in week 4 too and it's my first. Totally sucks
@sandy: I really find the wrist bands work. I feel way worse when I take them off but they are so tight they really annoy me and kinda hurt but its better than bring sick I guess. Hope they work for you.

Sorry to hear about the nausea. I am really afraid of ms... I am with my colleague all day including all breaks, with my boss joining us for the breaks- hope I can pull it off
And, can I say how happy I am for clear blue digital pregnancy tests? Took a wondfo today again, and it is still really faint
