@sandy: Awww - so glad the u/s went well!!

@babypie: 4 weeks is still super early; it's great you saw the sac!

@busylizzy111: That's super scary - am keeping you and little bean in my thoughts and prayers!!

@sandy: How wonderful! I can't believe you can see it sucking its thumb at 8 weeks! Crazy!

@babypie: I had an u/s at 4 weeks too (basically right after I called them), I only saw a tiny sac then too; very uneventful! The time when we finally heard heartbeat was 6 weeks

@BUSYLIZZY111: Def thinking of you & sending hugs & prayers!

@babypie: that's super early. Normally you can't see anything related to heartbeat until 6 weeks.

@sandy: Our babies are 3 days apart!!! When I went monday, I measured 8 weeks 2 days, so yesterday would have been 8 weeks 3 days.

@snowjewelz: I guess it's really sucking on it's hand/arm but you can clearly see it. My OB was like "looks like you have a thumb sucker" and I was like "I have one at home too"

  12. sandy

@littlek: that's super close! Btw, my OB does the NT scan as standard practice too... So even being advanced maternal age, no blood test unless there are issues after the. NT scan

For bees that get m/s, do you get a break at all?

I feel pretty normal today, and now I'm scared that something's wrong with the baby My next u/s is this Friday so at least I don't have to wait long to find out.

As much as I love getting a break from nausea, it's a little scary!

  16. oliviaoblivia

    pineapple / 12793 posts

@snowjewelz: With my first I'd have two days of m/s and a day of feeling great.

  17. snowjewelz

@oliviaoblivia: Haha, how nice of your LO to give you a break!

  18. littlek

@babypie: Did you think you were further than 4 weeks? That's early for a first OB appt. My OB normally starts prenatal care around 8 weeks.

@littlek: mine has you come in early (5-6 wks) to meet with midwife for a history and then for a dating scan. I kind of think it's Bc I live in a hippy town with a lot of uneducated ppl who have no idea how far along they are!

  20. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@winniebee: I wonder if MW have different policy than OBs?

  21. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@littlek: And then you have me with the strangest OB practice where I got an u/s when I went in for blood test and every week after that!

  22. littlek

    GOLD / squash / 13576 posts

@snowjewelz: It's so interesting seeing how different practices operate.

  23. winniebee

    hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts

@littlek: my practice is a combo midwife/OB practice actually. But it has different policies than my last practice which was also a combo midwife/OB practice (started prenatal care at 8 wks like yours)

  24. oliviaoblivia

@littlek: I don't go in to my OB until 11 weeks.

The few symptoms I have had are going away. The only thing I feel right now is tired but I have a cold so that's probably why. I'm really trying not to worry! I know symptoms can come and go and I never thought it would worry me. Ha. It's worrying me.

@littlek: At my OB, I was told the dr would want to see me between 6 and 10 weeks, but they scheduled me for 10 weeks. With my first I was scheduled at 8 weeks. Finally, next week I will get to see the dr.

@snowjewelz: Mine has kinda gone away since my appt last week. Makes me a little nervous because next u/s isn't until 18 weeks, but I still have sore boobs, cramps & food aversions so guess that's a good sign.

    @busylizzy111: Hope everything is okay.

Just got my first u/s scan date. Is not until June 9th!!! Il be almost 15 weeks! I'm so angry. I'm going to try and change it but with it being the NHS (free national health service) they are always so busy and oversubscribed. If they won't change it I'm going to go private for one next week. There is no way I can wait another 5 weeks! 2 more people asked my colleague today if i am pregnant. Think I must be sending out a pregnancy vibe!

    pomegranate / 3045 posts

@Mrs.Lilac: I can't believe people have the nerve to ask!! From what I've seen on these boards (admittedly I'm not an expert on the NHS haha!), it sounds like they tend to do fewer u/s, so the scans are generally much later. Hopefully you can get in for a private one ahead of time!

@snowjewelz: I seem to get my m/s mostly in the evening! Driving home from daycare is when it starts (maybe because I'm hungry)? It does seem to go away a bit after I have dinner though. And mostly throughout the day I feel okay! So I think I'm lucky in the m/s department! And there are definitely days where I feel fine, so try not to worry! I remember with my first I'd feel sick a couple days then fine for a couple days! It was on and off!

@Mrs.Lilac: Wow! I'm surprised your first u/s isn't until 15 weeks! Did you want to do the first trimester screening? Because I thought that had to be done before 13 weeks? But I'm not positive on that...
