@winniebee: how was your flight? Mine was miserable. I got sick the entire flight. Note to self, don't travel 1st trimester. Oh and Vegas is no place for a pregnant woman. Aghhhh. I'm dreading the flight back on Wednesday. I hope your flight was better.

I had my appointment this morning. I don't have any pictures to post (they printed very dark) but it was a great u/s. We got to see the hands and feet moving around a good amount. We also saw/heard the heartbeat.
We also discussed my repeat elective c-section which is likely to be the week of November 17 (38 weeks) as well as tubal ligation. I'll be 40 when this kiddo is born and we are DONE!
The appointment went very well and I will not be doing a NT scan, as I had blood draws today for "Panorama". My doctor didn't recommend MaternT21 as it only tests for one chromosomal abnormality. Given that I'm AMA, Panorama will hopefully be covered by insurance for me. The test covers multiple chromosomal abnormalities AND gender! The down side is it can take two weeks for results. But, really at 12 weeks we have a great chance of knowing gender. I'm so excited.
I will still see an MFM for my anatomy scans at 16 and 20 weeks. And I will be early tested for gestational diabetes, since I had it last time.
All in all, it was a great appointment.
***Next appointment 6/6/14***

all I'm saying is that women who work during their 1st trimester should get an award.. I am having a hard time making it through the day at work.. and it's only 10:30

@whenoceansrise: SERIOUSLY. This weekend, I really turned the corner into all day sickness. I am so miserable at work!!

@whenoceansrise: I ended up telling my boss. I had my annual review, and my boss asked if I had been upset at him or w/ my work b/c I either just seemed really sad or angry. I was like nooo! So I told him I'm pregnant and I am hanging by a thread at work lol.

@MRSJX3: Me too! & I've been getting killer headaches. That + crazy nausea is way too much right now. haha
@snowjewelz: I was so close to telling my boss today and asking her if I can go home. I'm taking off friday and next monday though for my trip to see my mom so I decided I would just tough it out.

@whenoceansrise: The headaches!!! I feel like they make me 10X more nauseated than I otherwise would be! Have you tried preggie pops? I got the drop version and they help a little.

@whenoceansrise: Every morning I say that I'm gonna take today off lol. But I want to save as many days as I can! Hopefully we can all get through this & laugh about it in 2nd trimester...

I just need to whine for a bit... I hope nobody minds. Im so tired of feeling nauseated and tired. Sigh... I think its funny I don't remember it being this bad with LO, but my husband assured me it was... I must admit there is a small amount of relief every morning I wake up sick because I experience zero morning sickness with my MC... that being said, I know there are tons of pregnancies w/o morning sickness, but it seems that it is my norm for a healthy pregnancy. I must admit though that it is making this first tri go by soooo slowly. I'm not telling anybody at work until I get to second tri and there are times it is just impossible to even talk to co workers, I wish I had an office I could hide in... oye... poor me. Sorry, i just really needed a whine session. My husband is the only one that gets to hear about it and I'm sure he is getting tired of me. Counting my blessings, feeling confident for a sticky little baby and at least I'm not actually throwing up yet, just sick. Crossing fingers this doesn't get worse.
I've seen other posts of people experiencing the same thing... hang in there green bees. I know we can get through this. Too bad there isnt a little green faced sick emoticon.

@Brawly: It's okay, I think we're all whining here today I feel bad for DH too, I whine all day and night to him and he does everything for me... Annnnd he's not even getting any... Poor guy!

@Brawly: it's fine to moan. Its what we are here for. Iv been moaning all day to my husband. We were coming home on a train from a visit to family and it got delayed so we were stuck on the train with no food and the whole time I kept thinking I was going to throw up. It was horrible. I need to carry snacks wherever i go to keep the sickness at bay i think. Dreading work tomorrow. I just want to curl up on the sofa.
Hope all the sickness goes away for us soon! This part truly sucks but I'm still so thankful too!
Quick question, anyone still going to the gym or exercising? I'm not but think I need to as I have put on some weight already which is totally unlike me. If you do go, what do you do there? I usually go to pretty intense classes but thy wouldn't be suitable now I don't think...

10w1d today! Can't believe it. I am so ready for the first trimester to be over though, and hoping I will start to feel better. This is miserable. Between the headaches, non-stop dizziness and nausea, throwing up up to 5 times a day, and holy smokes crazy woman tear-fests, I'm tired. Plus we are moving in 3 weeks and somehow I have to pack up the entire house while also being gone for work 12 hours a day, and having weddings/showers/bachelorette parties every day of every weekend for the next month. Sigh. I'm super thankful to be pregnant and am so excited to be a mom, but I am tired and feel really worn down, which is making me an emotional wreck. Poor hubby, he is taking a beating with all of this (but maybe now he will appreciate all the housework I do on top of working so much, since he has been doing pretty much all of the cleaning for me since it makes me throw up)
But on Wednesday I have my next appt, and if all goes well, we will be announcing on facebook that evening! Early but it is getting impossible to hide between my bump and being super sick, and we just don't want to keep it a secret anymore! Kind of scary, but we are really excited.

@littlek: Oh no! Hope your flight back is better. That kinda frightens me because we fly out to visit my family in 24 days, but I'm hoping that being 13 weeks by then will help.
@MRSJX3: AMA is advanced medical age, so basically anyone over 35.
Hope the M/S starts going away for everyone soon. I'm usually fine for a couple of days, then it's back for a day.
I love my DH. I mentioned biscuits & gravy sounded good yesterday afternoon & he went to the store & bought them for dinner last night. (didn't have to beg or anything lol)

I feel all of your pain!! I am just miserable. I was fine until last Friday. Then it all started. Yesterday was my worst day so far, luckily it was on the weekend. I just hate being so run down and moody and sick!!

I hear you all on the m/s!!! Smells have really started to get to me now! I realized the reason that I feel sick EVERY evening is because of the smell of Xander's food! When I was mixing his meals over the weekend, every single time I'd open a bottle, I'd start to get nauseous! And then this morning, when I walked into the cafe at work to get breakfast, the smells just hit me and made me feel so sick!! I don't remember smells being an issue last time around!
And both Xander and Hubs are sick, so I've been having to try to just suck it up and be the only adult in the family taking care of these babies!

@whenoceansrise: Those tumblers are adorable! Where did you order them from?
pomelo / 5298 posts
@MRSJX3: AMA = advanced maternal age. I think there is a difference in this by doctor, but for my doctor it is over 35. Though I will be 40 when this one is born. I think consistently all doctors consider 40 to be AMA, some just back it up further to be more conservative.
cherry / 245 posts
@MamaG: Interesting. I will have to ask my doctor what her proceedure is. I'm 32 and will be 33 when this baby is born but by the time we have another (this is our first), I will probably be over 35.

@genarator: thanks! I ordered them from an etsy shop

I also want to clarify on the MaternT21, I think I misunderstood. I Think it does test for the same things as but the degree of accuracy is slightly less than Panorama. It's probably just a doctor preference as to which test to administer (there are several!).

I had my appointment this morning and our baby stopped growing at 7 weeks. I will have to decide on a D&C or to take a pill to start the miscarriage. Heartbroken.

@MamaG: forgive my ignorance, any idea if those two tests are the same as Universal Life plus test? I already got my results f rom that but I forgot to ask my doctor.
