EDD: Right now December 9 but it may change depending on how many are in there
First child? No, second!
Any symptoms? Fatigue! I'm so utterly exhausted all the time, started getting headaches and nausea yesterday. Whee!
Who have you told? My husband and a few close friends and one of my sisters
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? We had an early scan and saw two sacs but our doctor told us not to get attached as there is a good chance one won't develop. We have another scan Friday and I'm really hoping they are both doing well, but we will see.

EDD: December??
Symptoms? Tired here and there, but nothing to write home about which makes me a tad nervous. Now and then I feel a little vaguely nauseous.
Who have you told? SO, mom, cousin, and a few close friends
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? I've had recurrent miscarriages, the most recent February. I hadn't even gotten my period when, Surprise! pregnant again. Had a first scan and we didn't see anything but my levels were low. They quadrupled between blood tests, so that's a good start. Have another scan next week so a little nervous.

Oh. Hmmm. I might join this board on Monday. That is when I will know if there is a heartbeat.
2nd kid, I am almost 40, we've been trying for over a year including a mc and some infertility intervention. Plus my second beta draw was low. So I am super skittish about the outlook.
I hate worrying about being asked why I'm not drinking at social events!

EDD: TBD. Right now 12/4, but if I am carrying twins, it will likely be moved up.
First child? No, this will be number 2 (or 3?)
Any symptoms? Fatigue, queasiness, thirst.
Who have you told? Both sets of parents, and my close colleagues
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? Overwhelmed, shocked, grateful, excited. I had a 6 week check up on Tuesday which is when it was discovered that there are two sacs and two heartbeats. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that twins would be a possibility. Overjoyed. But also cautiously optimistic as it is so so early. Next appointment is 4/25 when Ill be 8 weeks and Im trying to contain my nerves until then. I dont want to be negative but Im also trying to remind myself that so much can happen and I need to be prepared for anything. Also my husband and I are trying to process possibly going from family of 3 to 5. Lots of feelings and fears right now!

@ElbieKay: The last time I was pregnant, I didn't know it yet and ended up planning my birthday gathering at a brewpub -- only to realize by the time my birthday came around, I couldn't drink! That was an interesting dance.

First child? Nope, #2
Any symptoms? Occasionally randomly gaggy and refluxy
Who have you told? Partner, midwives, daycare, a couple colleagues so they can see Zika patients for me
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? Mostly shocked that I got pregnant so quickly! With LO it took 8 cycles and I was 3 years younger and wasn't trying to time intercourse around a toddler. This time took 2 cycles!

@mybell208: My 40th birthday is in two weeks. Lots of people have asked if I am making any plans. I am a big wine drinker so it would be really tough to navigate any sort of dinner or drinks celebration. Maybe we will hire a sitter so I can just go out for dinner with my husband.
My husband's coworker chose next week to invite us specifically to go out for sushi. I love sushi. I just told my husband to lie and say our sitter is not available. So he will go and I will stay home.
And I just got called out by an insensitive jerk of a coworker for not attending my company's annual offsite in a Zika zone. I really wanted to send him a furious email but I refrained. I was TTC last year too, so this is the second year in a row that I am skipping. I'm not happy about having to be so open about such a sensitive topic.

Peeking in to say hi! I am getting squinters and had a low 10 DPO beta, so I won't officially join. But wanted to say congrats to everyone!

First child? Yes
Any symptoms? Today was the first day I felt nauseous. Not idealy timed as my husband and I are in Israel for Easter. Before this I just had super sore breasts.
Who have you told? Our parents, his sister and our closest friends in DC. If anything were to happen we would want them to know.
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? My concern about being sick while traveling has come to ahead, but its not too bad. I wasn't sick on the plane ride here which really was my main concern. I'll get through it. My husband is being super supportive. I'm also very anxious about miscarriage. I come from a family that struggles with fertility and I was born after multiple, multiple lost pregnancies. I know that it is something that is on my mom's mind, but she is being really great about it and more optimistic than me despite her history. I am really looking forward to our scan on April 25!

Screw it, I'm coming in. If something happens, I still want to acknowledge this baby.

First child? No, I have a 2 year old girl who was born on Halloween! I guess holiday babies are my thing
Any symptoms? Some cramping, mildly tender breasts but nothing too bad. Otherwise, not yet.
Who have you told? My husband, my best friend, a few online friends, and a few close coworkers. I'm in healthcare and they drew some betas for me.
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? I'm very fearful that I'll start AF or won't hear a heartbeat. The waiting game is the worst.

Location: Germany (oh how I miss the United States and can't wait to get home next summer)
EDD: 12/26
Any symptoms? Quite a few for this early - sore breasts, off and on cramps, had spotting a week before AF was due, dreams of positives and twins, noticeable veins on breasts, exhaustion, lightheadness ... enough that I'm worried I'm going to feel terrible an entire pregnancy.
Who have you told? DH ( his classic response - are you sure you didn't just imagine the positive result) and a best friend who is an OB/GYN
Current thoughts/fears: I had a feeling right away that I'm pregnant and it is going to be okay - gives me comfort as I start this journey. Fears - that I imagined the line and AF is going to show today on my cd 28.

@ElbieKay: Hope everything goes well for you today!
@Run2shore: Congratulations! Twins are terrifying but exciting! So far both ours are measuring right on track and we saw heartbeats for both on Friday, our next appointment is Thursday so hoping to see the same thing then. Hope the time goes quickly for you until your next appointment!
@lilyofthewest: Congratulations! When's your first appointment?
@tramdoof: Can't wait to hear how your first scan goes! Hope you're still feeling okay.
@Mrs.Panda: Welcome! I hope everything goes well for you. Are they doing betas for you?
@MrsJBeeG: Hi! Congratulations! How long have you been in Germany? When will your first appointment be?

@MrsTal: I drew betas on Friday and I'm redrawing them today. Being a provider and having access to labs is very helpful

@MrsTal: we have been in Germany since last July. Almost a year.
I forgot to say that this will be our first. As my DH says - he had to grow up before he met me so we met later in life. But so happy to have him and be on this emotional adventure with him.
As to first appointment - going to be on the phone tomorrow working on that. Decided to wait until I could say I missed AF (due today and totally absent) and got a bfp. I get the joys of wading into German health care, and as high risk - age and surgery a few years back to minimize a higher risk of cancer that runs in my mother's family - this ought to be fun.

Today's scan didn't go that well. I am 7 weeks but measuring about a week behind, and still no heartbeat. I go back on Friday but am definitely keeping my hopes in check.

I go for another scan tomorrow. I have no idea how far along I am (maybe a week behind MrsTal) so I don't know what to expect (what will we see/not see) and my nerves are starting to build. I have yet to get to a doc appointment that turned out well (have yet to have a pregnancy and see any heartbeat; usually measure way behind). I'm slightly hopeful because I've started to have a few other symptoms but it's hard to be super excited right now.

Got initially screened today and the pregnancy confirmed, which is good. Have to schedule my OB care later this week for that nerve wracking first appointment.

@MrsTal: First appointment won't be until the last week of May. I see a super crunchy midwifery practice that does 1st appointments at 10-13 weeks. I'm going to be traveling weeks 10 and 11. Fortunately, I can use the ultrasound at work and confirm things before then. I'm going to try to look today...but...I can tell you from my last pregnancy that doing a transvaginal ultrasound on yourself is awkward and pretty tough this early (5w3d).
@mybell208: when is your scan? Thinking of you.
@ElbieKay: So sorry. Limbo is hard.

@lilyofthewest: it was supposed to be first thing this morning but work asked me to push it back a bit, so not til 5. Trying to keep myself preoccupied.

@elbiekay the waiting is so hard. hopefully you get some reassurance on Friday

First child? yes
Any symptoms? tender breasts, mild cramping, and a lot of indigestion??
Who have you told? DH, work bestie, and one other coworker.
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? I work for an OBGYN so i think I'm a bit jaded in the aspect that I've seen a whole bunch of things happen. But i'm staying optimistic with the 2.5 seconds since the second line appeared on the test.

First child? 2nd! I have a daughter that will be one in a couple weeks.
Any symptoms? Not really, a little crampy.
Who have you told? Just DH and a small mom group on FB that doesn't include anyone I know in real life.
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? Just the typical miscarriage fears...that first ultrasound can't come soon enough! I am also still nursing my soon-to-be one year old, so I'm starting to think about what I want to do there. I don't really want to wean soon, but also don't think I want to tandem nurse. Not sure when the best time would be to wean.

Went for my scan today and we are cautiously optimistic! I'm measuring where I'm supposed to be for just under 6 weeks and we saw the faintest flick of a heartbeat -- which is something I had yet to experience. With my history it's going to be hard not being anxious but I'm gonna try to take it day by day.

@MrsJBeeG: When will your first appointment be? Everything is so wonky for me because I'm with an RE for the first few weeks and then transfer to my OB.
@lilyofthewest: Haha, I have this picture of trying to scan myself and it's hilarious! I imagine that's awkward but nice that you can take a peek yourself.
@chypmunk: Congratulations!
@kayla0416: Congratulations! My little guy pretty much weaned himself around 15/16 months so maybe your LO will do the same and make it easy on you.

First child? Second. DS1 is almost 2.
Any symptoms? Bloat and sore boobs
Who have you told? DH and bf.
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? I had two recurring miscarriages before DS1. This is our first go at #2, so I'm nervous but excited. I am calling dr. To press for betas, but already see better FRER then I did with DS1. AF is due tomorrow and got clear lines on cheap wondfo and positive on digital with 1.5 hour old urine.

I was going to not post until after my scan next week, but the further along this gets, the more real it seems, so I'm jumping in!

EDD: 12/5
First child? No, #2. Also a December baby also!
Any symptoms? Morning sickness off and on, bloat, fatigue, sore boobs
Who have you told? DH, my parents, my sister, and my best friend. And I was forced to tell my boss because we are relocating for a year due to our office being renovated, and needed to let her know for planning purposes.
Current thoughts/feelings/fears? A lot of anxiety earlier, but mostly calm now. We have had 2 losses the past year and a half and I'm trying very hard to temper my enthusiasm until I hear a heartbeat. I'm so very ready to have #2!
