Yay for a baby girl!
We still have a few weeks until our anatomy scan, but we're not going to find out. We have a girl already and decided to make the next one a surprise

@Pirouette: so excited for baby girl!
@artbee: I don't know how you and the other team green mamas do it! The suspense is killing me
I'm really hoping to find out Thursday!

@lamariniere: I wasn't team green for our first. I really wanted a girl (though I felt bad about saying that so I always said of course I just want a healthy baby) and I knew I'd be upset if I got a girl and didn't plan ahead and buy all thinks pink, glittery, and ruffly. Now I have all of that pink stored in LO's closet so if we have another girl we're ready..... and if we have a boy we'll have to do some shopping.

@artbee: do you have any feelings either way? my DH suggested we could be TG for #2, but he wants a boy so badly i think it's a bad idea, haha. I'm impressed with your patience
@lamariniere: can't wait for your update on thursday!!!

@Pirouette: I have a feeling it's a boy, just because the pregnancy is so different from LO. I had awful migraines with her, and bad acne, and I feel like all of those girly hormones caused that. This time migraines aren't as bad and no acne. DH would also like a boy, but he's not going to be upset either way. I'm actually a big planner, so I just have to plan for gender neutral. DH (who was the one who wanted to be team green in the first place) said that he was thinking about finding out, and I said no way. I have a plan for a gender neutral nursery, getting gender neutral newborn clothes, etc. I'm not changing my plan!

@artbee: my pregnancy has also been very different this time, which kind of makes me think girl since our first was a boy. BUT, I'm also trying NOT to think about it since I don't want to be, well, not disappointed, but let's just say we would love a girl this time. That is great that you are standing your ground with your team green plans! I have a friend who is due in 2 weeks and she is also team green. I would go crazy! I'm definitely a planner/mild control freak and need to know what I'm getting into!

@lamariniere: I think it's easier for me because I really don't care either way. If I wanted one or the other I might feel differently about finding out.

@artbee: ha, we agreed on a gender neutral nursery regardless because DH will be sharing his office with the baby, and we live in a rental so we can't paint anyway. I can't wait to find out if you're right!
btw my headaches have been bad but not horrible, and only 1 migraine so far. which is pretty good considering how hot/humid it has been!! I'm really hoping that continues the rest of the way!

Boooo. I hoped to find out yesterday, but the baby didn't want to share the secret just yet. Hopefully he or she will be more cooperative on August 16!

artbee - we could be the same! we're not finding out either and I also really wanted first bebe to be a girl (so I could indulge in all things girlie). this time I don't care at all! Just healthy baby please! If its a girl, we got oodles of clothes. If its a boy I've got friends with awesome hand me downs just waiting to send them.
Babies will be sharing the nursery (they will be 2 yrs) apart. Luckily the pink we painted is very neutral and I think I can add a few masculine pops of color very easily.

@beesknees: that's so fun and such a relaxed way to be! DH has said maybe we'd be TG for #2, but i think since #1 is a girl, there's going to be some pressure to have a boy next time around, so i'm not sure I could wait it out! and i'm totally jealous that you have friends with hand me downs...sadly i have very few friends with kids!

So excited that we found out it is a girl!!! It looks like the December mamas are almost evenly distributed now between pink, blue and green.

We're having another girl. It was pretty hard to tell my dr and the ultrasound tech were trying so hard to get baby to cooperate. Finally, they both agreed baby is a girl.

We're having a boy! We couldn't find out at the 20 week ultrasound because baby was curled up so tightly in a ball. They sent me back so they could get some better images of his spine, and he cooperated (just barely) enough to reveal himself!

@mynoahbear: @whatsoniasaid: yay for Team Pink!!! have you guys been buying cute little girl clothes? i haven't been able to resist a few things with ballet shoes on them
@amreis: that's awesome you got to go back (i assume everything looked ok with his spine!) he must have been starting to look even more human-like by now!!

@Pirouette: Yes! Everything with the spine was fine. He must be in a funny position because the techs struggled both times to get a good image. We got a great 3d pic of his little face. It's so surreal to think of a tiny human inside of me!

@amreis: I know!!! i don't get to go back to the u/s place until 32 weeks, she's gonna be so big by then! SO surreal! aww glad you got a good pic

I answered the poll ages ago, but never commented to say I'm team green. So fun to hear everyone else's news though!

@Pirouette: Yes! It is SO hard to control the urges to buy all things pink!
