@PrincessBaby: If its helpful my waist was about 26 prepreg and 44 (!!) by 40 weeks. The medium fit two days pp barely and now 7 days pp it's almost too big and I'm guessing ill be in the small by Tuesday. It has really helped my back soreness but i cant nurse in it very effectively so i only wear it about half the day good luck on the induction!!

Awwww!! I'm so flattered by all the well wishes:). I am in the hospital- they inserted my cervadil at 8pm, so they'll check me after 12 hours, at 8 am. From talking to the nurses, we are expecting a baby at some point tomorrow- whether it's early afternoon or late at night- just depending on how things progress. That's SO hard to imagine!
DH & I have just been having a slumber party in the hospital room, and we're about to rest up for our big day tomorrow!
I'll keep you all posted!!!!

Had another checkup at the clinic today at 39.5 weeks. Everything is fine but baby (a girl) was measuring 99% in size for most of the measurements! They estimated her weight was over 9 pounds!!!! I know the estimates aren't always accurate but I tend to believe she must be on the bigger side since all the other measurements were consistently big (femur length, head size, torso size, etc...) Needless to say, I am a little frightened.
I feel like I am complaining quite a lot for someone who hasn't even passed their due date. Sorry!

@gracecat: i had a friend that they estimated her little boy would be over 10 lbs. When he came out, he was 7lbs and 1 oz. Big, but definitely not 10 lbs! Good luck! i know you can do it!
@PrincessBaby: How are you feeling? mine was inserted every 4 hours...I hope things are going on and we will be seeing Harper soon!
pomelo / 5789 posts
@gracecat: yikes! I have heard the measurements can often be a little inflated though so don't worry yourself too much. Our bodies were meant to do this!

I'm new here! 39 weeks today, next Monday is my due date. Pregnant with my first and so excited to meet him!
Excited for you girls who are so close to meeting your little ones!!!

@gracecat: I don't have much else to add besides what the PPs said. The measurements could be off and if they aren't you an still have a great delivery. Lots of petite women have large babies-you can do it!
@CibMomma: Welcome to the group!
I had my 7 week check. 50-75% effaced. Not dilated, but head engaged. MD said to take it easy because it won't take much to get labor going and he is going out of town for a couple days.
He found a cyst that wasn't there last week that is about 1.5 cm. He said not to worry about it for now, but honestly, who wouldn't worry?

@CibMomma: welcome! how have you been feeling? you're almost there!
@gracecat: those measurements aren't very accurate i've heard. when i got my growth scan it said the weight was +/- 1 lb of the measurement! but anyway, you can do it!

You guys I'm in the middle of biggest fear. 12 hours of cervadil led to Pitocin at 9am (est), I was dilated to a loose 2. Long story short, my dr was supposed to come around 130 to break my water but some emergency stopped her from being able to. So they let me labor on my own until the dr can get here at 6p. I ended up dilating to a loose 3 and having major back pain with my contractions, so I went ahead and got an epidural. I slept for a couple of hours and they just checked me, and I'm STILL AT A LOOSE 3!!!! I am so frustrated. I had hoped the epi would speed things up!!! I can't believe I've been here almost 24 hours and I'm not moving past a 3. So the dr is supposed to be here in 40 minutes and will check me again and break my water. The nurse says I'm contracting every 2-3 minutes so I'm pretty much devastated that this is happening and I'm stuck.
I feel like they're going to break my water, I'm still going to stall, and I'll end up with a Csection. I'm so upset right now! I just started crying and I cant stop!
My parents are here, along with DH, and all of our family and friends are calling/texting/etc wanting to know wth is going on and why she's not here yet, and my parents are getting impatient, and it's all stressing me out. DHis wonderful, and I really wish it was just him and me bc he's so calming. And I haven't eaten in years, so we all know how crappy that is.
Sorry for the rant. I should be happy bc H is fine and healthy, but I'm so so upset that my biggest fear is totally happening!

@PrincessBaby: I'm thread stalking...I'm thinking of you! I hope everything goes the way you want from here on out and you get to meet Harper ASAP!
pomelo / 5789 posts
@PrincessBaby: so sorry that you are going through this. Easier said than done, but try to relax, it may help with dilation. Hopefully when the doctor breaks your water, it will help you to dilate as well.
I don't know much about induction, but I understand how you mus be feeling. Stalling during labor and having a caesarean is once of my biggest fears too.
No matter what, in a few hours baby H will be here, so just try to focus on the positive. Easier said than done, again. Know that we are all rooting for you!

@PrincessBaby: aw hun! big hugs!! I would give your phone to your DH so you don't have to deal with the texts/calls. An if your parents are impatient, tell them to go take a walk! Just focus on relaxing and letting your body do what it needs to do. And for a LOT of people, once their water is broken things speed waaaay up. FIngers crossed that's how it is for you!! I know it's frustrating to not have things go the way you imagined. Just try not to imagine "what if" and just stay in the moment as much as you can. YOu'll only have this birth experience once, and whether it's the way you wanted it, it's YOUR and Harper's birth experience!! It's special and wonderful just because of that! Thinking of you

@PrincessBaby: things progressed quickly once doc broke my water. Give your phone to DH. We are thinking about you! Cry if you need and see if you can get it all out and then relax.

Oh and my pit had to be up to 24 I think before it started working at all for me
clementine / 780 posts
@PrincessBaby: Don't worry, you got this! Baby Harper will be here before you know it! Put the phone away, ignore the chatter, and tell the anxious folks to go get some food or take a stroll. Try not to think of it as a nightmare come true, rather the best day of your life! It all works out in the end how it's supposed to, hang in there hun!
