@lovebird: You have the recipe right?

    http://www.scalinis.com/Bambino.htm

I declare Monday as Eggplant Parmesan Induction Night for the December moma's. If you're still working and/or the recipe is too time consuming or challenging - order in or buy it frozen!
    Who's in?

Oh and today is my last day of work! Wahoo!!!!!

@travelingbrit: Congrats on the last day!!!! I know you are SO excited!!!

    I just had my 39 wk appt....Not a lot's changed:(. I'm a loose 1cm and she's still around a -2 station:(. I didnt even ask about effacement bc I was so bummed...

I had a Membrane Sweep...Holy Hell. That was NOT fun! It made me doubt that I'm cut out for labor. Maybe I need to just schedule a Csection and call it a day if a membrane sweep was so painful for me!

@travelingbrit: I would join in but I don't like eggplant!

Guess baby is a Dec. baby after all. She does not seem to have any desire to come out...even though we are ready and good to go. Seriously...any day now would be fine.

I am trying not to lose it with all the people asking if I am in labor yet or what is happening. I thought moms who have been through pregnancy would know better, but the vast majority of those who are asking me such questions are already mothers! Do moms just forget how annoying it can be or is it just that they are too excited for you?

@gracecat: I think we are extremely irritable- I DEFINITELY am, and that makes all the annoying stuff just....intolerable. My mom just called me with 4 million questions about how to check in for her flight here, and I stupidly tried to walk her through it, before totally losing my patience and telling her I would get my sister to do it for her since I'm not home. At least I didn't say what I was thinking which was "My chihuahua could figure this out! Come ON!". So I think I'm in the same boat as you- I'm so ready for the baby that for some reason I want to strangle everyone:)

@PrincessBaby: sorry to thread stalk but i wanted to tell you i was where you are at during my induction and it went very very well. i did need the epidural after 11 hours med free but in general it was a major success. if you want pain free vaginal birth with epidural is the way!!! c sections are very painful once you get out of surgery and many women cant hold their babies or drive or do much for weeks after. I am sure you were teasing but just wanted to tell you. I am SO EXCITED FOR YOUR BABY!

Best of luck to all of you!!!

I'm scared to post this because I don't want to jinx myself, but maybe I won't go late after all...does anyone know what the bloody show is supposed to look like? I feel like I've read that it's the same as the mucus plug some places and distinctly different others. I had definite spotting this morning after a couple hours of false labor last night. Now I'm just back to BH and cramping, but I'm getting cautiously optimistic that things will get going at least this weekend.

@travelingbrit: Congrats on your last day! I'll join you if I can get all the ingredients in time for Monday, but Tuesday the latest!

@rattles: no idea about the bloody show, but fingers crossed for you!

@princessbaby: I too was questioning whether I'm cut for labor when I was wincing during my doctor's appointment when he was checking for dilation.... I'm in trouble.

@gracecat: day's not over yet, you never know...

@MrsMccarthy: That makes me feel better that you had similar progress and it was "enough" to make your body cooperate with the drugs! I have gotten a little nervous lately about all the induction drugs and a long labor with my body not cooperating, that ultimately results in a Csection after all of that. It's my worst fear....I was joking about the Csection - I really don't want one if I can avoid it! If it comes to that, then there's nothing I can do, but that's why I did the membrane sweep this morning, just anything I can do to help things progress so labor is as uncomplicated as possible!

@rattles: As someone who stares at the toilet paper after every wipe just HOPING for a shred of a mucus plug or spotting, I would say it sounds like you are about to GO! That's awesome news and it definitely means your body is moving toward Labor! I had the stupid membrane sweep and haven't spotted at all, even though the doctor said I probably would. So if you're getting things going on your own, I would say you've got impending labor on your hands! I'd be ECSTATIC if I were you!

Btw, I am officially consumed with all things baby. Like I am getting so annoyed with my phone- people texting and wanting to touch base with me before the baby, or wanting to send me something, or wanting to drop things off to my house. I get it, they care, but I'll be on the way to the hospital in 48 hours. I've kind of got a lot going on and it doesn't involve socializing or having visitors, or lengthy phone calls.

I am sooooo irritable. I am a beeotch. I just can't be bothered with other people or other things right now! And it's annoying me that people think I can!

    End Rant.

    Mkay Thx Bah.

Woohoo! Just got home from my last day of work! Now I am just waiting for baby...

    @rattles: Sounds promising...

@rawrasaur: @travelingbrit: Hooray for finishing work! Some well earned rest and waiting now that's finally (almost) December!

@PrincessBaby: I think the way you're feeling is totally reasonable! (Although that may be because I'm feeling the same...) I got calls from my mom, MIL, 2 aunts and 2 cousins yesterday "just checking in."

So things are unchanged around here. My OB left for a week's vacation today, so I checked in with the office before they closed just to give them a head's up and make sure all the spotting was fine before I'd have to page the on call doc. The nurse said it sounds like early labor to her and could go on for another week, but that she wouldn't be surprised if it was this weekend. More waiting, but fingers crossed!

@PrincessBaby: Hopefully the sweep gets things moving for you. I'm going to ask about one at my next appointment. I'm crossing my fingers that you go naturally today or tomorrow, but if not - best of luck Sunday. I look forward to seeing pictures of baby Harper and maybe getting to meet up with you guys in January, perhaps.

@gracecat: I get a little annoyed with the questions too, but I truly think it's just people excited for me.

@rattles: If you google image search, you'll see some really gross bloody show pictures. It sounds promising to me though! I think you'll be having the baby this weekend!

@rawrasaur: Congrats!! I just got home from my last day of work too! It feels like such a relief.

It's DECEMBER LADIES! OUR BABIES ARE COMING!!!!! ARGHHH! We will be mothers!

Thanks ladies! I definitely just lost my mucus plug! Not to be tmi, but it was all over my undies when I went to the bathroom, and I was confused bc it was totally brown (no blood), but it appears that was it....So hopefully my body won't need THAT much inducing tomorrow!!! Maybe the Cervadil alone will do it- fingers crossed!!!
