It's still early....but SO just put together the crib! It was a gift from my mom so wanted to make sure all the pieces were there and not damaged.

Cool! We haven't started at all on the nursery but I've done plenty of other shopping for smaller things.
Is everyone feeling their baby move now? Now I can tell for sure when baby is moving, at 20 weeks. I remember feeling some light movements as early as 17 weeks and not being sure whether it was gas, digestion or what, but so glad I finally can tell the difference. We're still not at the point where my husband would be able to feel anything though. He would have to sit there with his hand on my belly for a loooooong time, since there's no consistency in baby's movements.

@travelingbrit: exciting! we just have a dresser and nightstand and glider so far. i'm gonna try to attach a photo and see this new feature!
@gracecat: i can feel the baby move on the inside, but not really on the outside. it doesn't feel strong enough yet. altho it seems since yesterday i can feel something when my hand is on my stomach. but its so sporadic that my hubs would have his hand on my stomach forever to feel something. can't wait tho till he can feel the baby!

@kodybear: Impressive, that is a good start! We haven't even cleared our junk out of the nursery room yet, let alone purchased any furniture.

@Kodybear- The pregnancy has been great, thanks for asking! My OB says is part of the 2nd tri "honeymoon phase," and I'm glad to be able to eat without feeling nauseated again. Great job on the nursery set up!
@Gracecat- I still only feel those "was it/wasn't it?" little maybe-movements, but I'm still 18-weeks. I can't wait until they become more definite.

Ugh ladies, I just had a bout of food poisoning. I never once threw up in my first trimester but of course in the glorious second trimester I threw up 4 times in 1 minute. This was followed by sweaty chills, a slight fever and other nasty stuff. It's taking me a few days to recover, I still can't eat properly. My mom thinks my bump reduced in size, which scares me a little but I feel baby move still so I think it's all good. Eep! Be careful out there ladies, especially when eating out. I have no idea what it was that I ate that made me sick unfortunately.

@kodybear: It looks fabulous! I'm envious that you're already nesting (we'll be in our current one bedroom condo for the first few months with LO).
@MaisyMay: Hooray! Congratulations on your beautiful little girl!
@rawrasaur: Good luck! Can't wait to hear how it goes!

@gracecat: yuck! Food poisoning is never fun. I hope you're feeling better!
@MaisyMay: Yay! So exciting!
@rawrasaur: My anatomy scan is today too, but not until this evening. We're team green tho so we won't know the gender(s) of our twins.

@MaisyMay: congrats on your baby girl!!
@rawrasaur: let us know when you find out! its fun to hear what everyone's having
@littlehunny: we're team green too, it was so hard to look away! if the hubs wasn't there i'm sure i would've caved and looked
@rattles: random note, you look beautiful in ur avatar pic! i'm guessing its a pic from your wedding?
cherry / 231 posts
@kodybear: It's going to be hard to look away for me too! I have this sudden urge to know. I told my hubby this morning that if he saw anything or heard the tech slip up that he has to tell me! hahaha

I'm shocked; it is a girl. This shot isn't the best, but it is all I have. My brothers think it looks like a cat.
grapefruit / 4903 posts
@kodybear: How sweet are you?! That made my day. It is indeed from my wedding. I think I had that grin plastered on my face all day. Besides, it's the only day I've ever had a professional team making me look good
@rawrasaur: How exciting! Congrats on your little girl, and enjoy the little bows and shoes and such that come with having her!
We're team green too, and while it's tough now, I'm still enjoying the anticipation. I'm glad to have some company though!

@rawrasaur: congrats on your baby girl!! seems to be more girls on this thread than boys! haha that comment from your brothers sounds like something my brother would say too!

@rawrasaur: congratulations!
New development these days? Heartburn. Ugh.... At least it has curbed my eating though, I have already gained way too much.

@gracecat: I had some heartburn last night. I told Hubs that little girl must not like chicken sandwiches.

Had my anatomy scan today! Our little boy seems to be doing ok so far. Found out I had an anterior placenta so that may explain why I'm not feeling much movement.
GOLD / cantaloupe / 6703 posts
@travelingbrit: I also have the anterior placenta, haven't felt any movements yet.
grapefruit / 4903 posts
@travelingbrit: @MaisyMay: I have an anterior placenta and just felt movement for the first time this week at 22w0d. Hopefully it'll be soon, and at least you've got photographic proof all is well in the meantime!

@rattles: I'm at the doc every 3 weeks, so munchkin is very carefully monitored!

i have an anterior placenta too. i'm starting to feel stronger movement this week (22 weeks on sat). i've seen my belly move a couple times! but yah it still doesn't seem like a lot compared to other people at this stage. i keep googling stuff like "how much movement should u feel at 21 weeks" etc , yeah i really need to stop googling. haha
grapefruit / 4903 posts
@MaisyMay: I always feel so confident right after appointments! In the early days when I didn't feel pregnant yet, it felt like forever between them (only 4 weeks really) before they'd confirm that of course the baby was still there.
GOLD / cantaloupe / 6703 posts
@rattles: I find that I worry briefly like 2 days after the appointment, and then I start to get a little worried about a week before. I just have to shake it off and remind myself that everything is a-okay.

@kodybear: I need to stop googling too. I have been googling for weeks.

Hey ladies, I'm a little late to the game, but I'm due December 8th with our first baby. So that makes me around 23 and a 1/2 weeks along with our baby girl.
Hope everyone is doing well.
So glad to be here!

@lovebird: welcome! things have been pretty quiet here lately, after many of us had our anatomy scans. Great due date by the way - that's my birthday!
I guess the next milestones for everyone will be the 24 week milestone and the glucose test.
Has anyone scheduled their glucose testing yet?
I'm scheduled for next week - August 23rd. Not looking forward to it!
In non-baby related news, I am going for my citizenship test next month!
pear / 1616 posts
@lovebird: welcome!! i'm due dec 8th as well with our first! i can't believe we're 5+ months in! i'm sure the coming weeks will fly by.
my glucose test is scheduled for sept 7th. i hope i pass bc sweets is my biggest weakness! nothing else new besides random aches and pains. i'm excited to hit the 24 week viability mark on sat!
apricot / 301 posts
@travelingbrit good luck on your glucose test and citizenship test!
@kodybear~ yay! hello fellow due date twin~ anyone due that date?
I have my next appointment on Monday, the 20th, but I don't think I'm doing my glucose test then. At least they didn't say I was. I should probably call and ask to be sure...

I was looking at a new calculator today - I can't believe that I'm 5 1/2 months.
I am 58% of the way through my pregnancy. CRAZY! Gone so quickly. August 22nd I will be 24 weeks.

24 weeks today! It's starting to feel real now. I could have a baby boy soon!

@MsInformation: Congrats on your girl! How exciting!
@rattles: A shower already! How did it go?

i'm 24w4d! i have a feeling the rest of the 2nd trimester will go kind of slow as there aren't many milestones coming up!
hows everyone feeling at this point? i'm starting to get uncomfortable. i think i'm having round ligament pain and was so uncomfy last night. and i'm getting charlie horses more frequently! hope it passes soon. otherwise not much going on. hoping to get a crib soon so we can get the nursery finished!
