@MaryM: oh, I am so so sorry you're going through this. Sending so many prayers your way for you, your husband and your sweet girl Frances.

My scan went fine...NT thickness about 1.5, and they visualized the nasal bone. HB good at 163. But my papp-a hormone level tested low so that plus my test results give a 1:100 chance of Downs so I just barely screened positive. I'll do the bloodwork for the NIPT tomorrow morning for more conclusive results. Regardless I'll need an additional ultrasound at 30 weeks to measure growth and placenta function.

@MaryM: Mary, I can 't even begin to say how heartbroken I am for you and your husband. Words absolutely fail in times like these but I am so sorry for what you are going through. I will absolutely be praying for you, your husband, and sweet baby Frances.

@MrsA: I'm so sorry you have this added anxiety! I hope it all turns out to be no big deal.

@MrsA: Sorry for the extra worry!! Hopefully it's nothing since you 'barely' tested positive!

@MaryM: How are you doing? Thinking of you! <hugs>
@MrsA: Did talking to the dr. yesterday alleviate any fears at all? When do you get results from the NIPT?

How is everyone doing today? I'm still thinking of @MaryM: all the time. Wishing it was different.
I am 11w today. Feeling ok. I have my first tri screening next thurs and I am soo anxious to get the results.
I am off of work all next week bc DD's daycare is closed so I am looking forward to spending 9 days with DD and a little staycation!!
So what's going on with everyone else?

@Ajsmommy: Doing good here, so glad the exhaustion ended already (and helps DS is sleeping better). My worst symptom right now is brushing my teeth and gagging everytime!
I'm counting down the days till Wednesday when I finally get to hear a heartbeat! We'll start officially telling people after that.
Excited for tomorrow b/c having a girls night - dinner and Bad Moms.

@Ajsmommy: Doing ok here. Still nauseous afternoon/evening, and same as @josina: with the gagging while brushing teeth. Getting my prenatal down in the evenings is getting challenging because it's so huge.
I'm 13+4 now. I'm feeling a little better after talking with my dr and an ob friend, but also anxious and googling "how long do Panorama results take?" A risk of 1/100 isn't bad (and logically I get that), but I'd feel better hearing 1/5,000 or something, you know? Hopefully I'll hear by this time next week.

@josina: totally jealous! I want to see bad moms! You'll have to let me know how it is
@MrsA: I hear ya, I should get my results either late next week or early the week after. I am so anxious... way more anxious than I was w DD. there's just so much more to worry about with my age, etc!
kiwi / 698 posts
@Ajsmommy: doing okay here too. The nausea and food aversions are starting to decrease, thank goodness. Haven't been sleeping very well lately though- I'm up a lot in the night worrying about handling life with two kids with a husband who works more than he should, praying that baby is doing alright in there, thinking about other life stresses. Ugh. I need to get back to yoga to help centre myself a little more. I don't have another midwife appointment until next Friday and I'm praying we hear the heartbeat on the Doppler (I'll be 13w4) so I can breathe a little easier.

@Ajsmommy: I'm doing ok, but have a lot of anxiety. I wish that I could have had the maternit21 test earlier, but will be getting the blood drawn next Wednesday for that. I think that they will also do the doppler again, but in reality, I just want to see the baby on ultrasound.

14 weeks today...hello, second tri! I'm still anxiously awaiting our test results and really hope we hear something early this week. I had a little pink spotting this morning so that's not helping my anxiety. I hate feeling like this but have to think positively that Peanut is ok!

@Ajsmommy: Bad Mom's was really good, seriously a range of emotions, I laughed AND cried!
@MrsA: Woo hoo, 2nd trimester!

Sooo excited for Wednesday and getting to hear the heartbeat FINALLY. My step daughter got back from her moms/Florida (she goes for the whole summer) Sunday so we put DS in his big bro shirt, she actually caught it pretty quick. So fun.
I had headaches all weekend and sent DH out for Tylenol, of course he comes back with ibuprofen.

@NorthStar: anxious is so the word for this pregnancy!! I wish I could get over it
@MrsA: any word on your tests results yet?? I go in Thursday and I'm already anxious to get the results
@josina: I've heard that about the movie! I can't wait to see it....Although that'll probably be in 2025 when.its on TV as a rerun every two hours

@Ajsmommy: NO. I did the blood draw a week ago so anytime now. Or next week. I keep refreshing my email and am not letting my phone out of my sight. The anxiety is really driving me nuts.

I had my latest doppler yesterday morning and heard heartbeat of 160. I have SO much anxiety this time around and cannot wait until I can actually feel something. They also did a blood draw for the Maternit21 test.
Have any of you told your work yet? I'm having a hard time hiding my bump, so I'm probably going to need to tell my boss this week or next.

Finally got to hear a heartbeat yesterday, steady at 160.
I think we're going to post on facebook this weekend, I took some pics last night of my step-daughter and son in his big brother shirt....
so work will know by Monday.

@NorthStar: @josina: beautiful heartbeats! So happy for you both.
I think I'm telling work today. I got the verbal and written offer for the promotion and need to accept, but want to tell my boss I'll need leave at the same time. I wanted to wait until my test results came back but I don't think I can.

@Ajsmommy: good luck today!
@NorthStar: @josina: yay for heartbeats! So great.
@MrsA: Hope you hear something soon. I can't imagine how awful it must feel to keep waiting. Fingers are crossed for you. And congratulations on your promotion!! So much going on.
I'm going to send an email to my principal this week. We're back in school next week, so I figure I might as well get it out of the way before then. I don't really look pregnant, but it will be easier to just have it out there.
At 14 weeks and change I am starting to feel ok again. A little more energy! I'm really hoping to get back into a good workout routine -- I've just been walking for the first tri because expending too much energy made me feel so queasy.

Love all the great updates!!
I had my appt today and the little stinker was very uncooperative. Heart rate was 170. Measured right on target at 12 wks, I was so happy to hear that!!
But it took 4 ultrasound attempts to finally get the picture they needed. And the neck fold looked "great and thin". The dr exclaimed as he saw it!
They drew my blood for the tests and I'll get those results next week...

@Ajsmommy: yay for a great appointment!!
I'm "out" at work! I just told management but I suppose word will spread. Funny but that makes it seem so much more real now that I don't have to hide it! Whew.

I got the call with results right at the end of the day!! Low risk across the board...and it's a BOY!! I didn't care either way but I really thought it was a boy so I'm liking being right
Whew!!!!

@MrsA: yay for low risk! And congrats on your boy!!! Is your first LO a girl or a boy?

Hey lovely ladies, sorry to have gone MIA but we were on vacation for nearly two weeks and didn't really have internet access. So glad most scans have gone well and so sorry for those that didn't . Our scan went well as well and both babies measured right on track and had great NT measurements. They were waving around and sucking their thumbs. And the first predicament from the doc was that my son is actually right and it is a boy and girl in there. They definitely are di/di twins. I guess we'll see in four weeks whether they are right. I was at my regular doc today for my normal check up and she wrote me a notice for work to not work more than 20h a week. Due to maternity laws here I don't even suffer a pay cut because of it so I am fine with it.

@NorthStar: @josina: @Ajsmommy: yay! Nice heartbeats!!
@MrsA: so glad to hear you got your test results back. Did you tell work? How did that go? And congrats on your boy!
@gilmoregirl: Glad you're starting to feel better. I'm very slowly starting to feel better soon... Hooray for the second tri!
@Pumuckl: who needs ultrasound when you've got a little kid with a feeling? Haha. Are your older kiddos both boys?

I have my midwife appointment today. I'm nervous... I just really want to hear the heartbeat because I haven't seen/heard anything since 7.5 weeks when I had a dating ultrasound. I'm so super anxious!

@MrsA: YAY for great results! Glad you can worry less!
And congrats on the boy!!
@Pumuckl: Great check up and so nice on the not having to work more than 20 hours a week (and no pay cut!) A Boy and girl would be so fun.
@gentlelunette: Hope your appointment goes well!
