@jedeve: I'm 14w tomorrow! This pregnancy is really moving. It seems like I was peeing on sticks just last week.
@eiko2010: Stay strong! I'm sure your results will come back ok. When will you find out? I'll be thinking about you!

@eiko2010: keeping my fingers crossed for you.
I had my first appointment thursday, and it was pretty uneventful, which is good. Until she gave me my internal and said "oh my, you feel like you're close to 12 weeks (which, having had an iui, I knew was impossible.) she apologized and said she mixed me up with the patient she saw right before me.
EDD: Officially jan. 25th
How far along? 11 weeks today.
Total weight gain: 0
Maternity clothes? Not yet, but I'm making sure to work my smaller clothes into the rotation now before it's too late. Some of my tops are getting tight and/or gaping at the buttons. My cups are beginning to runneth over.
Stretch marks? Not yet.
Best moment this week: Getting a pregnancy goodie bag at the dr was much better than the infertility "goodie" bag.
Food cravings: Nothing. I'm making myself eat. Nothing sounds appetizing at all.
Symptoms: tired, boobs hurt allll the time.
Looking forward to: making it to the second trimester.
Baby Number? Will be our first.
Recent milestone: First Ob/gyn pregnancy checkup.
My nt scan is July 16. I was debating not getting it but I kind of want another look after 2 u/s so early.

Ive been a little outta thing the last week in half, started a new job... But good to read everyone is doing good for the most part
@eiko2010: I really hope this turns out okay for you! My dr. never asked about having cats, we have 3. Should I bring this up and ask for the toxo screening Im already almost 13 weeks....?
But... also I just had my second appt. today! Got to hear baby's heartbeat again. Everything sounded good. I still can't wrap this around my head that there's someone growing in me and that I'll have a baby in 6 months!! Next appointment is finding out what they are!!! EEK !!

I'm 12w2d. I agree that it's going very fast. I can't believe there's already a March babies board!
I'm starting to feel better and get more energy which is nice. And my bump is pretty obvious now.

I'm not wanting to jinx myself, but I do want to say that I'm feeling surprisingly good at 12 weeks 2 days. I think my morning sickness may have subsided....Wheeeeee! And, I have more energy than I've had in weeks. And finally, I bought maternity pants and am loving not having pants cutting into my gut. What relief all around!
grapefruit / 4235 posts
Oh, and after I posted I wasn't in maternity clothes yet? None of my shorts fit today. All they had at target were full- panel maternity shots and I was def not about to purchase those quite yet. So I bought a pair of khaki drawstring shorts. Hopefully these will hold do, together with sundresses, till summer's over.
I have a business dinner tomorrow and I am dreading it. It's at a steakhouse so everyone will be drinking...I just want to keep it under wraps at work for one. More. Week!

Thanks for all the support, ladies. I have my appointment on Monday and hopefully the results won't take too long to come back from the lab in CA. Also hoping the ultrasound will give me some peace of mind.
Went out today and got a few things maternity. I got a pair of jeans (smooth panel, Old Navy) that I'm hoping will last me through the pregnancy. Tried on some work pants but don't think I'm quite there yet. Got a few t-shirts from Old Navy, too (they were on sale for $8 each) and 2 cute tank tops from Gap that should last me through the whole summer, bump or no bump.

Best moment this week: Heartbeat on Doppler. Heard it on ultrasound last month but so glad to hear on the Doppler.

@eiko2010: Just popping in to see how you are doing? Any word yet? I'll be thinking about you!

Hi girls! So the appointment went ok. Ultrasound looks good so far, so that's encouraging. After the ultrasound I met with the high-risk OB to discuss everything. There are two markers for toxoplasmosis - IgG and IgM. IgG typically indicates an older infection, where as IgM indicates a newer infection, and positive IgM is what raises the red flag, and also what I have. So further bloodwork is being sent out to the lab in Palo Alto that specializes in toxo. If the results are negative, nothing to worry about. If positive, there is a treatment (antibiotics, I think) that I can take to help (but not completely) prevent passing the infection to the baby. I should get the results in a week, which is way faster than I expected.
I also found out that due to a LEEP I had in 2001 (a surgery to remove precancerous lesions on my cervix), I am at risk for compromised cervix and therefore have to get biweekly transvaginal ultrasounds from now until 26 weeks! 99% of the time, LEEP has no impact on pregnancy, but they want to monitor just to make sure.
The ultrasound tech took a bunch of pictures and one of them was of the baby's hand extended so you could see all 5 fingers. The tech typed "Hi Mom" underneath the picture. I think she's saying "Hi, Mom! Doin ok in here! Don't worry about me!"

@eiko2010: that sounds like mostly good news! i hope the tests come back negative and then your worries are over
grapefruit / 4923 posts
@eiko2010: thanks for the update. we'll cross our fingers for a negative test result, but it sounds like you know your options and are keeping a calm outlook on this. wow, biweekly vaginal ultrasounds--that's intense! i'm glad that they're going to carefully monitor the situation and make sure that you and the baby are okay!

@eiko2010: glad you are still hanging in there, it must be tough waiting for the second round of results. Thankfully the treatment is fairly easy. And while the vag cam is no fun, you get to see the baby more which is a plus.

So I have been away for a few days. My in-laws are up, plus we have SD for the summer, and then the 4th and plus work. BLAH I am so tired good grief.
Buuuuut....finally I feel closer. One week from today and I get to hear the HB and see baby for the first time. SO CLOSE!!!!
@eiko2010: Just caught up on everything, glad to hear all is sounding well.

I don't want to reply directly to anyone cuz I'm afraid I'll miss someone, but I just wanted to thank you all for your support. I am so grateful to be able to come here and voice all my fears, worries, and frustrations. You girls are the best!

Where is everyone at?
Just thought I would get us going again....How is everyone feeling?

I'm feeling extremely uncomfortable! My belly has completely popped and I don't know if it's just my uterus expanding or round ligament pain or something else, but just super uncomfortable. There's a lot of pressure too and so it seems I have to pee every 30 minutes!
I also had my very first spotting today. It was brown, so I'm not extremely worried, but I was quite enjoying having absolutely none. I have an appt tomorrow (13 weeks!) so I can make sure everything is ok.

@eiko2010: I have my fingers crossed for you, too!!
I am not feeling pregnant AT ALL recently. It is kind of freaking me out. I have an OB appointment in a week, can't wait for a heartbeat check!!
pineapple / 12793 posts
I'm feeling normal, but have been in an extremely good mood lately. I think I might have felt the baby move yesterday. My bump is definitely here and recognizable by strangers which is exciting.
I had a funny dream last night that we were at the anatomy scan and the tech showed is "the parts" and I started crying because the baby had three legs. Then DH pointed out that the one in the middle was a penis. A rather large adult sized penis between two baby legs. Weird.

@Mrs Green Grass: I'm definitely having round ligament pains. Every now and then, I just get this stabbing pain in my abdomen.
14 weeks today and other than the emotional rollercoaster I've been on, I feel pretty good. My only real complaint is that I'm having pretty terrible back pain. It started mostly in my left shoulder blade area, but has now spread across pretty much my entire upper back. If I stand for more than 10-15 minutes, it is excruciating. Cooking and doing the dishes at dinnertime is a real challenge. Hubs gave me a massage last night and said my back is full of knots. Not sure if it's pregnancy-related or not, but it's gotta stop.

@Andrea: i feel you on the not feeling pregnant front. i have two more weeks until my next appt and i'm strongly considering buying a fetal doppler on ebay just for peace of mind. haven't pulled the trigger, but i look one up every over day.

@birdofafeather: I was just thinking the same thing last night! I doubt I will get one but it is tempting!
pear / 1599 posts
First appointment with our Dr tomorrow...so excited and scared at the same time I so hope there is a wiggly little baby in there! I have been tempted many times to get a doppler but I have been able to talk myslef out of it so far. I might be crazy but I made our first big baby purchase, stroller and carseat, took advantage of the Britax free ride promotion. Starting to feel a bit better except now I have a cold or allergies or something. Pants are getting tight so shopping is not too far off.

@pinkb: Ohh sweet! Let us know how your appt went!!!!
Feeling normal here too. Almost not pregnant which is freaky. My first appt is finally on Tuesday. Getting closer. I feel so huge. I am still fitting in my normal clothes just fine, but I just feel huge. The bloating is crazy. My stomache seems so huge to me already. Yikes.

I feel huge too. I've already started strategizing my weight loss plan for after the birth! haha.
I got to hear the heart beat yesterday. What fun!

@Rescuemom10: Can't wait to hear about your appointment!
@pinkb: Yay for seeing baby! So exciting, isn't it??
@Jumpingjacks: We saw the baby during our NT scan, but there was no sound. I didn't hear the heartbeat until a week later. Both so cool.
I have my first bi-weekly transvaginal u/s tomorrow - not sure if I'll get a glimpse at the LO or not!
pineapple / 12793 posts
@Rescuemom10: Good luck at your appointment tomorrow! It will be awesome! Totally worth the wait.
@eiko2010: Have you gotten the second round of toxo results back yet?
I'm still feeling great and am still in a great mood. We had a wedding this weekend and it was my first experience with strangers acknowledging my bump. So cool!
DH and I are debating getting an early 3D scan next week so that the next week we can surprise my parents at my family reunion. I won't see them again until November so it'll be nice to share some of the excitement in person.
