Definitely felt movement yesterday!! A few times in a row! I can't wait until I can feel it all the time. 18 weeks this coming Wednesday. 15 days until anatomy scan/gender!
I've been RAVENOUS the past week omg.. no matter how much I eat I'm still hungry! I'm not over indulging and I'm being careful, but I'm HUNGRYYY!!!!

@kristinleigh: I finally got my appetite back too! But I'm also weaning off Progesterone so wasn't sure if it was the baby or the lack of hormones.
But I ate half of the biggest cantaloupe I've ever seen yesterday (it was nearly the size of a watermelon), and still wanted a bagel to go with it for breakfast.

Omg! So now, even though she knows I'm pregnant, my nosy coworker is STILL asking if I'm losing weight. lol

Baby measuring almost 4 weeks behind. Don't know why.
Best case scenario (as I understand it) is the cross fingers and pray baby makes it to viability (so October) and then have a NICU baby.

@sera_87: oh no! Fingers crossed for you.
ETA- will they do additional USs?

@sera_87: oh no - I'm sending so many positive thoughts your way Is there anything that the doctors can do now to try to figure out what's going on? I'm thinking of you xx

@sera_87: Oh no! I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
Is there still a heartbeat, it's just measuring small?

@sera_87: Oh no! When was your last scan? I'm so very very sorry and hoping that everything will be fine!
pomegranate / 3604 posts
@MaryM: yes everything's fine just small. No dwarfism. Heartbeat was 165(Ish).
Last scan was today.
Going for an amino tomorrow morning at 8. Anyone ever heard of GOOD amino stories ?

@sera_87: I will be thinking of you tomorrow! I don't have any amnio stories to share, but I am hoping for good news for you and your family very soon

@sera_87: Oh I'm sorry I wasn't clear. I meant what was your last scan before this. Was baby small then too? Did they say anything about IUGR? That's a very good heart rate so that's encouraging...
pomelo / 5129 posts
@sera_87: That has to be a good sign that everything else looks ok. I hope it is!
pomegranate / 3604 posts
@travellingbee: they said IUGR is the overall name but they'd like to figure out exactly why.
And yes at my last scan they said baby was measuring small but didn't make a big deal of it.

@sera_87: Fingers crossed for good results and information from your amnio.

@sera_87: I'm sorry you're dealing with this. Prayers for you and that little one.
My mom had an amino with my youngest sister. She's now an Ivy League grad and crazy successful (and gorgeous).

@sera_87: I don't have experience, but I do know that the risks for an amnio are generally overstated, because they are based on old studies, and techniques have greatly improved.

@sera_87: I just read your update. So sorry you have to deal with this. I hope you find out good news tomorrow. Will be thinking of you!

@sera_87: oh no, so sorry to hear this news. I think there was a bee who did some blog posts on IUGR. As for the amnio, my mom had amnios done with both my brother and I and the results were great. Granted, getting the amnios were her choice though, not medically indicated. Crossing my fingers that you get encouraging results!!

@kristinleigh: Yay for baby movement, isn't it so reassuring? I think I am feeling movement, buy only at night when i am very very still.
@sera_87: thinking of you and prayers for healthy, if little, baby.
We still have 3.5 weeks until out fetal survey and I cannot wait. I am constantly getting asked if I am hoping for girl, I am not hoping for one sex over another, just to hopefully, have this one full-term, no one seems to believe that I either boy or girl is fine in my book.
In other news, I finally won my battle with my insurance company to get the market brand progesterone injections, Makena. I started injections of the compounded hormone but all the compounding pharmacies by me have stopped making it in the past month. It has been a battle and I am completely relieved.

@kristinleigh: Hurray for baby movement! I am 18 weeks and still have not really felt a solid movement. I feel bubbles here and there but not a strong kick or movement like I when I first remembered with DD1. Looking forward to feeling movement soon though.

Hi ladies, I've been lurking so I finally decided to join!
Location: Boston
EDD: 1/13/16
How far along: 18 weeks
First child? Nope, I have a 2 year old daughter
Any symptoms so far? I had a relatively easy first tri. Feeling good but starting to get up 2-3 times a night to pee!!
Who have you told? we've told most people by now, my husband just told his work yesterday and he still has some friends to tell. We didn't do a social media announcement.
we found out at our anatomy scan that I have placenta previa, so I have a c-section planned for 38 weeks in case it doesn't move.
We're team green again, which is harder the second time around! Looking forward to chatting with you all

@littlebug: thank you but it was supposed to yesterday - after not being able to sleep all night I called that morning and cancelled. I just didn't feel comfortable.
@kristinleigh: thank you. I really appreciate it

@sera_87: Will they be doing follow up scans just to make sure everything else is still looking good?

Hi ladies! Just now joining this board (a little late to the game). Nice to meet you all!
Location: NYC
EDD: 1/16/16
How far along: I think this is 17?
First child? I have a 2 year old daughter (2.5 in Oct)
Any symptoms so far? The 1st trimester was harder this time around than with my daughter, but still relatively good. I felt pukey and had certain aversions. Water also made me feel pukey, which sucked. I'm back to eating most foods and am more relaxed about "forbidden foods" than last time around.
Who have you told? We've told many of our friends at this point, and both sets of parents. Some friends we're waiting to tell in person. I will have to tell my boss in the next month b/c these flowy tops ain't gonna hide the baby much longer.
We found out it was a boy via the MaterniT21 test (think that was around 10 or 11 wks?). I turn 40 this year and am holding my breath for the 20-wk anatomy scan, hoping all looks ok. Other screening tests so far have turned out ok.
I haven't read through much of the archives but am interested in how to share the news/get my daughter used to the idea of a baby brother, figuring out a new 2-kid routine and sleeping/napping schedules - both during and after maternity leave, and thinking through sleeping arrangements long term (we have a 2BR with a very small home office).
Looking forward to sharing stories with you ladies!!

@MaryM: oh yes. I'll probably have to be seen weekly; ill be referred to a geneticist, and probably have an ultrasound every 2 weeks.
Right now they can't "do" anything - just monitor and cross fingers I make it to viability. Any week after that is a boon.

@sera_87: Thinking extra good thoughts for you too! Keep us updated.
@nycbee: Welcome! I have a 3 year old daughter and am expecting a boy too. My daughter was initially disappointed it wasn't a girl but now she's excited to have a BOY.
pomegranate / 3779 posts
@nycbee: welcome and congratulations! I'm a bit worried about the transition to 2 LOs, but there is a lot of good information in the archives and there are a bunch of other Jan '16 moms that are doing this as well, so we are in good company.
@sera_87: sorry you had to cancel your amnio. You are in my thoughts and I hope things go well.

welcome new mommies!!
@sera_87: Thinking of you and hoping for great news in the coming days.
i haven't been too active on the boards lately but have read through all the comments. finally up to speed! i hope everyone starts feeling 100% soon, i know it can come and go and that in itself is so exhausting. looking back, this pregnancy knocked me out from 8-15 weeks. i was so miserable but i'm finally feeling normal again. i'm now 18 weeks and we confirmed the sex this week - it's a BOY! our ultrasound tech's guess was right (she saw definitive boy parts at our 12 week NT scan, and so did we). we are thrilled to give our DD a little brother.
can you believe this pregnancy is already halfway over!? i hear the second half FLIES by, especially if you already have a LO to chase around.

@sera_87: I'm so sorry you're going through this, it's gotta be so hard to carry that stress while caring for your little dudes. I hope that baby kicks it into high gear and has a growth spurt before your next scan!
@brady80: I'm also having a hard time staying team green this time! My husband REALLY doesn't want to know, and I just want to start getting ready. My first was born in August, so we need to get tiny winter clothes for this one and I just don't want to buy all plain stuff again. I'm totally on the fence and still have a few weeks before the anatomy scan, I think my decision will be totally impulsive and hormonal in the moment. Ha.

I can't believe we're not even halfway there and our child is already signed up for daycare!
Three out of nine places we toured had wait lists and our number one only has one slot left do we paid our deposit today. Eeesh!

I try to keep up with all the comments! This thread moves fast
Anyone else have an anatomy scan yet? I was having some issues and dr ordered an early one and I went at 17w3d. Babies were measuring right on track and she was able to get all measurements for each twin! It was incredible. I thought it was a routine u/s - good thing DH was there and we got some images on disk. We still go for another at 20w and more after to make sure one isn't growing faster than another.

@MrsYellowJacket: mine isn't until the 31st. So glad your two are doing well!
Had an OB appt yesterday. We scheduled my section for January 15th. Crazy! She wants to avoid any labor since my deliveries will be so close together. I on the other hand want to go as late as possible so their birthdays have a little more space. So we'll have January 8th, December 29th, January 15th. And Christmas. Gotta start saving!

@MrsYellowJacket: I was supposed to at my last appointment & we all know how that went.
