EDD: 1/13/2019

First child?: DS will be 4 by then.

Symptoms: Bloating and cramping seem to have gone away. Today my nipples were really itchy. Some nausea which I never had with DS.

Shared the news with: DH

Thoughts/concerns: I'm 6w today and had a MC last year at 6.5w so will feel a little better in a few days after that "milestone."

Also, DH has balanced translocation. We did CVS with DS and will with this baby as well. We aren't planning to announce to family until after the CVS.

Curious how you all did your pregnancy tests. How early did you test, and when did you get your positive?

This was my first time actively TTC and I started testing 5 days before my expected period, like the box says, and I got 4 stark white negative tests before I finally got a positive one day after I thought my period was due. Is that normal?

After the third one I thought I was definitely done, tested the fourth time just to be sure since I was going to a wedding and wanted to drink (it was negative), and then after STILL no period, tested again after the wedding and got my BFP! I was really shocked after four negatives!

EDD: 1/14/2019 (but I went to 41+5 with my first...so...just hoping for not February)

First child?: My first just turned 3 at the beginning of the month.

Symptoms: Tired, tired, tired. I'm not exactly nauseous, but my gut doesn't feel great either. My nipples HURT. Last week I was so bloated that multiple people asked me how far along I was (and I lied and said I was just fat). Thankfully that has started to ease off a little bit.

Thoughts/concerns: This is my 5th pregnancy in the last year and a half. Things look promising so far though -- I had an ultrasound yesterday that was right on track. I also didn't feel particularly pregnant with 3 of the 4 dud pregnancies. I have another sono next Friday.

@SteelerGirl: Do you typically have very regular, predictable cycles? Or were you tracking ovulation in any way? Most of the time when you have a negative that close to your anticipated period you ovulated later than expected. But implantation timing can vary too.

@lilyofthewest: was just lurking and so so glad to hear you had a good ultrasound!

First child?: No. DD is 16 months right now.

Symptoms: Lots of cramping and extremely tired.

Thoughts/concerns: I’m 4w3d today, so super early. Im worried about miscarriage, just really looking forward to the next couple weeks flying by so I can make it to my first ultrasound, June 8.

EDD: 1/21/19

First child? Nope, DS is 20 months

Thoughts/concerns: I had an early u/s last week and my OB saw absolutely nothing so I’ve been worried. I also feel zero symptoms and by this point with DS, my boobs killed and I felt nauseous. I had a feeling this pregnancy might not work out, which would be sad but not devastating as it was our first month tring for baby 2. Well, went back for another u/s today and not only was there one sac in there, there were two! Obviously it’s super early but looks like twins so I am freaking out!

How's everyone doing?

I'm getting nervous because I haven't had any pregnancy symptoms yet. Last pregnancy, one week after my missed period I was suddenly hit with it. All food seemed revolting to me. I never threw up but I could barely force myself to choke down food. It lasted until 14 weeks and then magically disappeared overnight.

I used unisom & B6 to manage it last time, and I've already stocked up for this time, but haven't needed to use it yet.

@lilyofthewest: I have another scan next Thursday. Still very few symptoms over here except extreme bloating.

@SteelerGirl: My husband is totally panicking. I'm feeling pretty calm because it doesn't feel real. If we see a heartbeat(s) I think the panic will set in! And btw my dad is an identical twin so I was not totally shocked. He and his brother are 81 and still besties. I can't tell them apart on the phone

EDD: 1/2/2019

First child?: #2, my DD will have just turned 2 when this baby arrives

Symptoms: So much nausea and fatigue, just like last time. Also, my bloat belly is popping out and causing my coworkers to get suspicious.

Shared the news with: Husband, parents, IL's, two random coworkers that asked me if I was pregnant -- I couldn't lie, but jeez...

Thoughts/concerns: I have my first clinic appointment next week, so I'm hoping all is well and we hear a heartbeat. Otherwise, I'm trying to conceal it at work best I can until I'm ready to officially announce!

I had another ultrasound on Friday at 7w4d that was still good - so this is my longest normally-progressing pregnancy since my 3-year-old!

First child?: yup

Symptoms: Peeing all the time, super smell (so not a fan of this), a lil nausea, and a bit of cramping. Oh and not sleeping, but often tired.

Thoughts/concerns: Had a miscarriage about a year ago, so trying to balance excitement. Today is 6 weeks, so that is a good milestone. First appt is at 8 weeks, at which point if all goes well we'll both be a fair bit more relaxed.

Just had my scan and there was ONE baby with a great heartbeat, and a second tiny sac that the doctor said will disappear soon. DH and I are both relieved. Twins sounded great as a novelty but we barely want two kids, lol, so the idea of going from 1 to 3 was freaking us out. baby is measuring a few days behind but the doctor didn't seem concerned.

@Lucy_goosey: What a relief to see a healthy heartbeat! I'm getting excited for my appointment next week!

I ultrasounded myself at work today and fetus still has cardiac motion! This is my furthest progressing pregnancy since my kid. I've ditched the medical practice and I have my first midwife appointment (and NIPT draw) next Friday. I'm hoping I'll be able to relax a little if I get low risk NIPT results.
