@travelgirl1: No real cravings for food, but I crave apple juice all the time. So random because I never drink juice! I was the same way when I was pregnant with my DS.

@sweetooth: happy 1st birthday to your son!! Hope your ultrasound goes well on Thursday so exciting!

@QBbride: Ugh, I hear you on night shift! I work that shift permanently. I've been doing it for 4 years now. Thank god I work part time, though! But it's rough. I worked last night, came home this morning and I still haven't even slept yet and it's 8:30 pm. So tired.

@NurseDMB: I want to smack nurses who make comments like that and make us worry unnecessarily! What idiots sometimes.

  5. NurseDMB

    kiwi / 643 posts

@LindsayInNY: The one I talked to today wasn't too bad, but the one I talked to when I had labs done the first time is a witch! I remember calling her during my pregnancy with DS because he wasn't moving much and I was worried about it, and she started asking me if I had suffered from a loss because I had too much anxiety. I was pissed- wish I would have complained about her!

  6. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@NurseDMB: Even if she thinks "lower numbers," she should never ever mention that. Anyone would start obsessing! So not necessary. Ugh. Why do people like that even work in this sort of industry?! I'm dreading my obgyn office because when I went my chemical cycle they were all trained to ask if it was a "desired pregnancy." Wtf? Can't I answer it once and be done? Or really not even have to answer it!

  7. NurseDMB

    @LindsayInNY: Ugh, that's awful.

  8. LindsayInNY

@NurseDMB: I honestly didn't even know what they were asking me at first! I was like ummm as opposed to what? You think they could note this stuff on charts!

    Hey all,

Welcome to the new joiners. I have my first appointments this week so I am probably going to be a little MIA. I'm having some anxiety now that I actually have the appointment. I'm hoping my Dr will give me the numbers tomorrow and ultrasound on Thursday. We'll see.

@Reese: I completely understand. Now that my ultrasound is getting closer and closer (next Monday) I am starting to get nervous. I guess I have a bad association with them because thas how I found out about my blighted ovum in August.
Anyway, I hope your nerves are just that and you have a wonderful appointment.

Hi there, July mamas! Just got my BFP today, thanks @simplyfelicity for pointing me to this board!

    Location: NY

EDD: July 30th, according to the date of my LMP. Which is interesting considering my daughter's birthday is July 29th.

How far along: 3 weeks, 4 days

    First child? Second!

First doctor appointment: Calling my doctor in the AM.

Any symptoms so far? Some queasiness and headaches, then a sore throat and fever last night which I remember as symptoms from my first pregnancy.

Who have you told? Just my husby!

  14. simplyfelicity

@cait: Yay! Glad you made your way over here!

Thanks for the welcome, everyone! I didn't participate on my birth date board for LO1, and I'm really excited to be part of this community this time!

So, today I was worried that in the course of three days, the line on my Wondfos wasn't getting any darker. I was (OK, am still a little) worried that this means that this pregnancy isn't going to last. So today I took myself down to the store at lunch and bought myself a pack of FRERs. Positive. Obviously positive. I need to calm down and step away from the sticks.

@BlueWolverine: yes, step away from the sticks! You are pregnant!!

    @cait: congrats and welcome!

@BlueWolverine: Yes, step away from the sticks! I drove myself crazy doing that after my first super faint BFP.
    @cait: Welcome and congrats!

So, I busted out the maternity pants and they are glorious!!!! I am finally comfortable in work clothes again! Except now I need some loose shirts to hid the blump that is now even more noticeable in the maternity pants...

@Candy_nee: Yay for comfy maternity pants!! Perfect for Thanksgiving.

@Candy_nee: my new maternity pants will be here on Friday and I was hoping that they would hide the blump?!

  20. Candy_nee

@cait: That reminds me of the Thanksgiving episode of Friends when Joey wore Phoebe's maternity pants so he could eat more!
@littlebittyhouse: I have on full panel ones folded down. To me, they accentuate the blump. I tried on some of the under belly ones with just a thick elasto waist last night and those help hide the blump. But, they're more casual (my particular pair) and I had to dress nicer today. Stupid all company meeting!

    First child? Yes

    First doctor appointment: December 18th

Any symptoms so far? No symptoms yet.

Who have you told? My husband and best friend. We are waiting until after our first u/s to tell immediate family. Planning to make the announcement on Christmas when everyone is together!

  22. cait

@Candy_nee: Yes, love that episode! When did you start noticing a bump? I was able to hide my first pregnancy all the way until the last trimester, but I've heard your body "remembers" and grows much faster the second time.

@simplyfelicity: @littlebittyhouse: @travelgirl1: @NurseDMB: Thank you all for various things Ultrasound wishes for me and birthday greetings for my boy

@simplyfelicity: That piece of watermelon TOTALLY looks like raw meat. I have to admit, I kind of threw up a little in my mouth when I first scrolled through and saw it

@travelgirl1: No real cravings here, I'm just trying to enjoy food as long as I can. I seriously ate like crap when morning sickness hit last time around. I think I have one more week before I hit the window of time I went down hill for my first pregnancy.

@littlebittyhouse: Good luck at your ultrasound on Friday!

@NurseDMB: Sending positive, doubling number thoughts your way

@Reese: Good luck at your ultrasound on Thursday!

@cait: My bloat kicked in almost immediately. There's no real bump yet. Just enough bloat to make me not be able to be comfortable in regular pants. My pants started to get uncomfortable last week, so like 5.5 weeks. This is not boding well for the size of my real bump as this pregnancy progresses. Last time I started showing around 15 weeks or so.

@cait: I've heard that too, about your body remembering. I'm enjoying not sucking it in, but man, when I catch a glimpse of my belly in the mirror I'm like - whoa! Bloat baby!

@cait: bloat was real and early for me too. i had it with my first so i was expecting it but, whoa.

@sweetooth: I nearly puked seeing the watermelon and I knew what it was!

I just have three hours left at work...trying to hold it together. I felt SO much better yesterday with the Unisom and b6 and definitely don't feel as great today even though I took the same dosage last night. I am starting to notice that it's worse when I don't sleep as well (I got up three times to pee!)
As for the bloat, I feel it! Like a constant food baby. And all I eat are carbs these days...no wonder.

Hello everyone! Can't believe I'm back on another July board!

    Location: Belgium

    EDD: July 20th

How far along: 5 weeks 1 day

First child? No, another Summer baby! DS was born Aug 1st, but his EDD was July 25th.

First doctor appointment: I had bloodwork done today and the first ultrasound scheduled for Dec 11th. I'm feeling confident so far, my first BFP at 17 dpo was faint but I've tested two more times since and the line is nice and dark now.

Any symptoms so far? Umm, yes! Nausea, dizziness, heart burn, cramping, sensitive breasts, the need to pee every hour, exhaustion... I'm feeling it all! Never had this with DS, I threw up once during that whole pregnancy! So far it's been manageable though.

Who have you told? DH of course, and my mom. I'll tell my colleagues at the end of the week because there are certain things I can't do in my job when pregnant and also because they're pretty great and know about our TTC. We'll probably wait to tell the rest of our friends and family until after the first u/s, so probably at Christmas! I want to get DS one of those big brother t-shirts.

@mrsvdv: Yes we are!!! I am also planning to announce to family at Christmas. DH has nephews but this will be the first grandchild on my side so I am getting cute gifts that say Grandpa and Grandpa to give my parents.

Hello Ladies My first ever Hello Bee post, I've been lurking around these parts for the better part of 6 months now and thought, time to take the posting plunge!

    Location: Melbourne, Australia

EDD: 22nd July (LMP), though I know 100% conceived on 29/10

How far along: 5 weeks on the dot

First child? 2nd child, 2nd pregnancy. My DD is 2.5

First doctor appointment: 10th December, will be 8 weeks along.

Any symptoms so far? Began with my boobs feeling like flames were about to shoot out of them (subsided now), slight nausea in the morning, and a bloaty, gassy, upset belly.

Who have you told? hubby, mum, and the receptionist at my ob/gyno office!

Mine is a bit of a *surpriiiiise* pregnancy.... I was scheduled for my 2 year pap and let my gyno know that I've been experiencing pain in the left ovary (PCOS), so he decided to do a quick trans-vag ultrasound there and then. I told him I thought I was due to ovulate (ok... so I told him I was about to lay an egg!) and after having a look on the US told me that I was actually not ovulating this month at all..... well guess who proved him wrong? Fell pregnant on the same night! Guess you should always trust your womanly instincts hehe

4 pee tests later, here I am... Feeling different to the last pregnancy with my daughter (sick as a dog for 20 weeks and throwing up til she was born), but I know that at 5 weeks along there is plenty of time for the morning sickness train to hit me at full speed :S

Happy to finally join the Hellobee community
