@travelgirl1: Thank you! I am going to try the b6 and unisom and then see if my doctor will prescribe it. So glad you found something that is working for you.

@simplyfelicity: So sorry to hear you're dealing with morning sickness! I wanted to warn you though, I saw on your other thread and other people chimed in on this, but Zofran gave me the worst constipation I have ever had in my life. I'm talking, it felt like a dress rehearsal for giving birth. I actually knew that after I survived that, I could give birth. No joke. So if you are experiencing constipation with Zofran, do take the necessary precautions to take care of your insides. The hard part too, at that time, I remember I couldn't keep anything down but frozen pizza, frozen burritos, and pasta with butter. Excellent nutrition. The worst food for keeping things moving inside. But the thought of a salad just made me want to puke! I was able to have a salad again at 15 weeks.

@NurseDMB: Good luck today! Hope your betas reveal good news! And thanks for sharing your "blump" (love that word @simplyfelicity !)

@travelgirl1: You are not the "shittest mum of the week" - what a tough week you had though! Hugs! Bubble wrap sounds like a perfectly logical solution

@Reese: I'm with you on the wiping thing - I feel like everytime I go pee I'm always checking. And I, too, had symptoms that were here and gone. I'm just trying to enjoy the time without feeling the crap And know, that there are plenty of uncomfortable days ahead.

@Chocoholic: Congratulations! And welcome to the group!

I survived the weekend with the in-laws and hosted a wonderful 1st birthday celebration for my son over the weekend. I need another weekend now though It helped to be so busy planning all of the party/houseguest stuff - I didn't think about being pregnant as much. I hope this week flies by and it's Thursday before I know it so I can see the little bean in my belly. Ultrasound on Thursday - I'll be 6w2d

I'm cautiously joining in here.....I need to talk about this but I can't tell anyone IRL yet....

    Location:NY

EDD: According to LMP 7/24, according to O 7/28

How far along: 3 weeks 6 days (by O date)

    First child? Yes

First doctor appointment: Already scheduled for an appt. on Thursday to discsuss my IF bloodwork and I'm due for my annual, called Dr. last Friday as soon as I got a BFP and she sent me for bloodwork to check progesterone levels. After trying for 11 months, including a m/c in July, I'm praying for this to stick....I have left over progesterone from m/c that the doctor has me taking already.

Any symptoms so far? Sore bb's, mild cramping on and off for a week now.

Who have you told? Just DH, and now all of you!

Had my labs done early this morning and they called back with the results a few minutes ago.

HCG is at 243. It was 22 a week ago. I don't even know what to think anymore? They are still saying its low based on my EDD using my LMP. I am not sure of my ovulation date, but my first positive OPK was on CD18, so I could have ovulated anywhere between cd18-cd20. If I ovulated on cd20, that's means I'm almost a week less than I think I am based on LMP.

But the low hcg is still concerning me. They want me to come back in 48 hours to have it checked again. I am a mix of emotions right now, and just hate being stuck in limbo. I'm just praying its not ectopic at this point.

@NurseDMB: Sending you all kinds of good vibes and thoughts. Did your doc have any thoughts on the number or the fact that they said it's still low based on LMP? Anything to go on at all?

@NurseDMB: I don't know if this will help reassure or help stress but I checked my betas and how they were doubling on this site: http://www.betabase.info/ Good luck

  10. Tidybee

    nectarine / 2834 posts

@NurseDMB: your doubling rate is okay which is what I thought they usually go by since dates can always be off. Limbo land totally sucks.

@NurseDMB: if it were ectopic, I would think you'd have some spotting or some pain by now. But I could be wrong.

  12. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

@sweetooth: I took Zofran again this morning (possibly for the last time) because I found the Unisom so much more effective. As for the constipation, I feel you. I have no idea how some Bees take 8mg three times a day.

ETA: Wishing you an awesome ultrasound!

@NurseDMB: That must be so stressful, I'm sorry you're going through that. I am very hopeful for you though that it's just mixed up dates. Big hugs.

Does anyone have any cravings? I feel terrible for most of the day but for some reason have an insatiable craving for general tso chicken. I have wanted it since 13dpo, before I even knew I was pregnant. Everything else smells yucky but general tso, mmmmmmmm

@NurseDMB: doubling is good! and I agree limbo land sucks. when I had some spotting they gave me some eptopic precautions to watch out for. I think if your OB is not telling you those, it is a good thing.

@sweetooth: Glad you had such a nice weekend YAY for ultrasounds

AFM I spent the weekend freaking out. Completely freaking out. Read that as your HCG gets higher your test results get more faint so that gives me solace. Symptoms come and go at this point. 6w1d today with an ultrasound on Friday that DH is going to join me for.

@littlebittyhouse: I completely freaked out all weekend too (and am also 6W1D today). I have not even a twinge of nausea yet and also tested over the weekend to a noticeably lighter test line/darker control line than the week before. I really need to plan out some projects or hobbies to work on for the next two weekends before my first appointment because I just drive myself crazy when I'm alone with my thoughts.

Hi everyone! Sorry it's hard to tag everyone on my iPhone but I'm still reading!

Congrats to all the new BFPs! Woot!

And I love the blumps! More pics please! I got nothing over here

I basically feel like I'm dying I've already lost a few lbs and I'm getting a bit distressed. Add that too world's crankiest toddler (still won't sleep through night) and I basically spent the weekend freaking out lol.

Thankfully I have my first appointment on Thursday (no ultrasound though) where I can get a referral to a dr who delivers. I need to get some of those meds you guys have. I was on zofran last time too. Bleh.

@NurseDMB: been thinking about you mama! Crossing my fingers for a good 48h!

Hello nausea and morning sickness! I had a plain buttered bagel this morning that made me feel just off. Then, for lunch I had Chick Fil A. I love love love Chick Fil A (I basically lived on it my first pregnancy). Well, for some reason I didn't like the texture of my chicken sandwich and now all chicken sounds God awful and I've spent most of the afternoon feeling so queasy. I've already had 2 ginger ales. Thankfully my office supplies free soda. But, since no one knows I'm pregnant, I've had to put them in my koozie so as not to raise suspicion! LOL

  30. littlebittyhouse

    pear / 1570 posts

@angelachase: YES! All those things. The testing really put me over the edge though! I am knitting at night so that I am not completely consumed! Just because we are not deathly ill doesn't mean we are not having babies!

  31. Candy_nee

    apricot / 324 posts

@littlebittyhouse: @angelachase: For what it's worth - I had no morning sickness my entire last pregnancy. I felt fantastic through most of it and went on to have a perfectly healthy baby boy. I like to tell myself (especially since I've felt ok thus far with this one as well) that the worse you feel isn't an indicator of how healthy your kiddo or pregnancy are. Sometimes you just get lucky.

I never even had a twinge of nausea with my son, it was amazing! Basically I had no symptoms and I'm sure if I wasn't tracking my periods I could have gone a looooobng time without even knowing I was pregnant!!

I've felt so queasy since yesterday. My husband made a huge pot of chilli and I took one bite last night and couldn't even look at it. The thought of eating it makes me feel sick and of course there's like 500 meals of it!

I worked a night shift last night and pretty much thought I was going to die. Between the exhaustion and nausea I didn't even think I'd make it to the morning! And I'm working another one tonight. Ughh.

@fuzzypeaches: my son still doesn't sttn most nights either!

@NurseDMB: sorry you are stressed about your hcg numbers I think as long as your doubling time is OK then that's the main thing. And eventually the doubling rate slows down as your pregnancy progresses. At least you don't have to wait a week again for the results. Thinking of you

First doctor appointment: Am scared to make it. I was 15 DPO with neg tests, then thought I got my period, but it never really kicked in, so I tested again. BFP! With multiple wondfos, a FRER and digi. I'm still kind of in disbelief. Will prob call doc tomorrow for appt. All that spotting is very similar to my first pregnancy and the doc saw me pretty fast. Pelvic rest, here I come!
Any symptoms so far? The sore boobs started today. Other than that, nothing.
Who have you told? DH. Dying to tell my coworker who is pregnant. Might wait a few weeks.

@Candy_nee: Nope, that's what's so frustrating! They're just being very vague about. But it's the nurse I keep talking to, not my OB. When she gave me the results from today she was just like "well typically when we see lower numbers like yours, we have you repeat the test again in 48 hours".

But when I look at beta numbers by DPO, it says the average for 18dpo is around 292, mine was 243. So not too far off? I dunno. I kinda wish I never got the labs done in the first place. But she said after we get Wednesdays results, if the numbers continue to double, I will start progesterone again like I did with my DS, and they will schedule an ultrasound between 6-7 weeks.

    I'll keep you girls updated!
