    @LovelyPlum: Awwww, thank you!

    @Chocoholic: welcome and congrats!

    @simplyfelicity: Aw I'm so sorry you are so sick! I will be totally honest with you, with A I puked until 14 weeks and I was on two prescribed medications to get it to a manageable level. How do you feel about meds? I know they're not for everyone but sometimes they are so useful!

    @angelachase: no I haven't given up coffee! I try to limit it but I'm way too tired to give it up entirely.

    @simplyfelicity: sorry you are so sick. That sounds terrible. Are you on any medication?

  3. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

    @QBbride: @travelgirl1: I am fine with meds, and I have a few pills left over from my loss but the Zofran hasn't don't much other than get my "backed up." Sorry for the TMI! Are there more effective rx?

    @simplyfelicity: with DD I had diclectin from 5.5 weeks which did nothing (but it great for some people) then my dr gave me something at 8 weeks that is actually schizophrenia medication but works for morning sickness and omg, it changed my life. I'll try dig out the name for you.

    Ok. Top test I took at 4w3d and bottom test I took today 5w4d....should I be worried

  6. QBbride

    pomegranate / 3192 posts

    @littlebittyhouse: absolutely do not be worried! The line is getting darker, that's all that matters no more testing!!

    @simplyfelicity: in Canada we use diclectin for morning sickness, it seems pretty effective for most people.

    I tried to book my dating u/s and I can't get in until I'm 10 weeks. I just ran into my midwife T work (benefit of working on the floor I delivered at!) and she said 10w is the most accurate for dating purposes. That's so far away!!! Wahhhhh.

  7. littlebittyhouse

    pear / 1570 posts

    @QBbride: I know I know no more testing. I just don't know how my controlling went from being nonexistent to as dark as the positive.

  8. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

    @littlebittyhouse: Hmmmm....I am not sure if you should be "worried" but I would be curious. Did you have betas done?

  9. littlebittyhouse

    pear / 1570 posts

    @simplyfelicity: beta was 2,200 at 4w1d so they did an ultrasound at 4w5d and saw a fetal pole!

  10. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

    @littlebittyhouse: Do you have a good relationship with your OB? Maybe they can bring you in for an ultrasound just for peace of mind?

  11. littlebittyhouse

    pear / 1570 posts

    @simplyfelicity: I was thinking that I might call on Monday to see if they can fit me in. After the spotting they said that they would see me whenever if I was feeling anxious.

  12. QBbride

    pomegranate / 3192 posts

    @littlebittyhouse: I see what you're saying. I think as long as the test line isn't lighter you're ok. I think every test batch probably varies in the amount of dye. but of course if you're worried follow up with your OB.

    Anybody have a midwife? I love mine! I've seen two of them a lot lately at work (there are 3 of them) and talked to them a lot when I went through my m/c. They're soo supportive and lovely. I wish I became a midwife.

  14. angelachase

    @QBbride: I'm seeing a practice of midwives who operate out of the hospital. Haven't had my first appointment yet but I'm very excited about it! I've heard great things.

    I don't want to jinx it (it's only 7:45 here) but I feel less sick this morning. I could be worried but I am super relieved. It's been a ROUGH week.

    @simplyfelicity: yay!!

    I am waiting for my first blood draw! I'm going to make an appointment with my dr next Saturday, I will be one day shy of 8 weeks. I will hopefully book an ultrasound next weekend as well.

    This bloat is ridiculous! It's so much worse at night - I took this picture BEFORE dinner yesterday. This is seriously what I looked like when I was 24 weeks pregnant with my son. Yikes.

  20. QBbride

    pomegranate / 3192 posts

    @NurseDMB: I tried to post the same thing this morning but I was having problems posting a photo from my phone! It works fine from my iPad. Any tips?

    I woke up to a big bump this morning! I'm sure people will ask me if I'm pregnant any day now. with my son I didnt tell work I was pregnant until I was 18 weeks, but that definitely isn't going to work this time...

  21. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

    @NurseDMB: Super cute!
    @QBbride: Let's see it!

  22. Reese

    @NurseDMB: LOVE the bump!

  23. QBbride

    pomegranate / 3192 posts

    @simplyfelicity: it won't post from my phone! Every time I does it says this page cannot be displayed or something. It only works from my ipad for some reason

  24. NurseDMB

    kiwi / 643 posts

    @QBbride: That's weird because I have trouble posting stuff on my iPad for some reason! When I post a picture I just hit that add photo button on my phone at the end of the post. But I'm sure you already tried that? I want to see your bump!

    @simplyfelicity: @Reese: thanks ladies! But it's pretty much just bloat at this point which makes me feel gross, lol.

  25. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

    @NurseDMB: When I was on the March EDD board, we called a bloat bump a "blump."

  26. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

    @QBbride: That is weird! I have problems with HB sometimes, too.

  27. simplyfelicity

    Anyone not doing much else besides vegging out on the couch? When I am not at work, this is what I do. It's definitely not as bad today (probably because I am not working.) Working as a teacher during morning sickness is ridiculous. I haven't thrown up yet today...definitely a win in my book!

  28. NurseDMB

    kiwi / 643 posts

    @simplyfelicity: Haha, blump! I like it

  29. NurseDMB

    kiwi / 643 posts

    @simplyfelicity: P.S. sorry you're so sick I didn't have morning sickness with my DS, only threw up twice the whole pregnancy. I'm hoping to be lucky again, although MS can definitely be reassuring!

  30. QBbride

    pomegranate / 3192 posts

    Ok, this is my ridiculous 7 week bump!

    Edit: Damn it won't post. Grrrr.

  31. Reese

    pomegranate / 3521 posts

    @simplyfelicity: I was going to write something similar. The exhaustion is out of control, I have been a total couch potato. My hubs has been making/picking up dinners, and basically up keeping the house on his own. I need to get some energy ASAP

  32. angelachase

    apricot / 306 posts

    @simplyfelicity: @Reese: Yes, major fatigue has been my most significant symptom thus far. I've been frustrated with myself for being so incredibly unproductive, but MAN am I tired. Been getting ready to fall asleep at 7 PM or earlier!

    cantaloupe / 6630 posts

    Oy, morning sickness. I'm not even six weeks yet and have been feeling dreadful all day and night then throwing up this morning. I'm hoping to book in with the doctor for some meds this week, I know it's a bit whimpy asking for meds so early but I stay home with Ariela and watch another toddler Monday to Friday too - I can't lie on the couch for 8 weeks like I did last time But it's a good sign, right! I'm excited and mortified all at once!

  34. angelachase

    apricot / 306 posts

    Is it weird that I'm kind of hoping that I will get some morning sickness soon? Just a little to reassure me that baby is doing well? I'm six weeks today and haven't really had any so far.

  35. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

    @travelgirl1: I know the feeling bit boo you aren't feeling well. There is nothing wimpy about getting something to help you out. No sense in suffering through it (says the person who hasn't taken Zofran in 5 days.) I only have 5 pills left and don't want to "waste" them.
    On the morning sickness front, I am so tired of just eating bread. I feel really icky but it's the only thing that appeals to me to eat.

  36. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

    @angelachase: Mine didn't start until exactly 6 weeks and I will be 8 weeks Wednesday...there is plenty of time!
    I guess the only reason I "wanted" morning sickness is because my last pregnancy that went until 10 weeks had no symptoms really. There are so so many women who have perfectly healthy pregnancies without morning sickness but I just couldn't help compare this pregnancy to my last. From your description though it does sound like something is going on!

  37. simplyfelicity

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

    @Reese: I heat ya! I feel like I have a flu that won't leave.

  38. NurseDMB

    kiwi / 643 posts

    @angelachase: Completely understand, but so many people don't get morning sickness! I was barely sick with my son at all - I had mild nausea starting around 6 weeks and it ended by 10 weeks. I only threw up twice during that time. Maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones

  39. Tidybee

    nectarine / 2834 posts

    @angelachase: I am also hoping for it but I also had none with DD so I'm trying to remember that lack of morning sickness does not always associate with miscarriage.

    @simplyfelicity: So remember I told you about the medicine I got that worked wonders with my pregnancy with DD? I was desperate today, so I dug out the old bottle, took it to the pharmacist and asked if it was still in date. It wasn't, but she said I had a refill for it on my file from 2012 that she would make up for me. I actually cried I was so grateful. I took one tablet at lunch and it has made the BIGGEST difference! I still feel sick but am functioning again. It's called teva-chlorpromazine if you get desperate.
